Overall, this was a nice hotel for attending a conference. The restaurant (Vinifera) was delicious and definitely a step above hotel food, thank goodness, for the room service options were dismal. If you don't get room service for breakfast there is no where to get breakfast at the hotel. There is a Starbucks counter off the lobby but I was informed that it has been vacant for more than a year. The room was very clean and comfortable but noisier than I would have liked even though I wasn't near the elevators.

The check-in process was very smooth. Got to my room and it smelled musty and a little stale. The bathroom was nice, but the toilet had an issue where it made a noise similar to a flushing sound every 2 minutes or so. The remote would not work except for a couple feet in front of the TV. Was disappointed that I had to pay for internet service, most establishments include free WiFi with a stay these days. The wine bar was nice, especially busy due to the snowstorm. The gym met my needs for a quick run.

Rated 5 out of 5 by WaltzingMatilda Quality and consistency
My 3rd conference here, each time staying at the Westin. Booking, from overseas, via my SPG membership was quick and convenient. The facilities, staff, service cannot be faulted. My changed reservation dates request was approved, at existing rates, and processed seamlessly. Checkout and billing was quick and correct. The rates were very good indeed, presumably an arrangement with my conference provider. Overall, I was very impressed, and will return any time I'm back in the area.

Rated 4 out of 5 by VJNewyork Additional Lighting Needed in Room, Excellent Restaurant
The room I was staying in was extremely dimly lit. The bulbs have been changed to CFL which is great for energy consumption but did not provide adequate light especially if you are trying to get some late night presentations done. Otherwise, room quality was above average. The real gem of this hotel is its restaurant. Skip the room service and go down and experience culinary delight - from the hummus dips and pita to the fresh entrees paired with great wine selection, absolutely superb!

Rated 5 out of 5 by LFW2013 Very happy at the Westin Reston
I'm a part of a large team staying at the Westin Reston each week and have been consistently happy with the quality of the rooms, excellent service, amazing staff, and the great location to the town center. The staff knows our team by name and helps to make the Westin Reston a home away from home during a long-hour work week. Would highly recommend this hotel, especially for those doing business in the Northern Virginia area, they know how to cater to business travelers extremely well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Storm2012 Great Service - Wonderful for Families or Business
The Westin at Reston Heights was a wonderful escape following the storms of 2012. We lost power and were lucky to be able to stay at this hotel. For two families including teenage kids and dogs, the hotel ended up being our temporary home. The staff were friendly and courtesos; always looking for ways to make our stay more enjoyable. The restaurant and wine bar were great. There was a wide selection to meet everyones tastes and it was well prepared. Highly recommend the lamb chops.

I can't say enough great things about the hotel and the associates who work here. They are the BEST!! They took care of any and all my needs during the last several stays. My room was perfectly cleaned upon my arrival as they knew how I liked things from my past stays. We travel extensively for business and this hotel is A+
Thank you all for making my stay and experience above my expectations. It will be hard to find anywhere else to stay in the future to meet your standards!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by djlm This hotel more than met our expectations
We were here on an airline discount voucher - we are SPG gold members - were definitely treated as 1st class guests. After overseas arrival, cancelled flight home - it was wonderful to have a terrific shower & finally collapse into a heavenly bed. All the needed toiletry items were either provided or available in the gift shop. Our unplanned visit was a treat before facing airlines again. Thank you

Yet another great experience at a fantastic hotel. The staff, especially Ann at the front desk, is always great. I called in due to a flight change and Ann was able to add a night to my stay with no problems. They always have a great can do attitude. Hyung at the bar is also great and has an amazing memory and mind for football, so he's always fun to talk to.
The only negative I can comment on is inconsistent hot water in the shower. It has a tendency to fluctuate drastically.

This was a great hotel for business travel, I came in on a red eye and they held my room for me. It was quiet and clean, staff was very professional, and it met the brand standard. I am a frequent business traveler so I appreciated the setting and the opportunity to actually sleep while I was away from home. Many thanks!

It's a nice looking hotel - good location. The staff is split in service. I was locked out of my room for a dead door battery - the guy who fixed it was awesome but it took forever. I was the hall in sweaty workout clothes and had to call twice. I ordered a burger it came with no ketchup or mustard - condiments and it we ehhh.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JHMND Congratulations on your staff
I have written before to compliment your staff including Young your bartender. My stays the last two weeks were again most pleasing due to your employees including the wait staff at breakfast and Young. Your front desk staff have always helpful. This last trip I dealt with Geneva several times and feel she stands out in professionalism, friendliness and attention to detail. Continued congratulations on having such a well run hotel. It is always a pleasant experience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MissedFlightMary Last minute stay due to flight cancellation
Stayed at this hotel because we missed our flight connection (United, from New Orleans to Hartford) due to airline delays. Got discounted rate, which was quite reasonable for the type of facility. Pros: The bed was extraordinarily comfortable. Cons: Bar closed at 11 pm, before we arrived (and really needed a drink - see above re: airline mess-ups). It was suggested that we walk across the huge parking lot, in the cold and dark, to the bar in the neighboring hotel! (Not!)

Rated 4 out of 5 by SR1222 Great stay...for the most part.
My bf and I enjoyed a nice weekend getaway in Reston to visit a few friends and (mostly) everything about our stay was great - nice size room, the Heavenly bed and bath were perfect, big flat screen tv, decent view from room. However, on the first day, after spilling a sugary beverage on the sheets, I called downstairs to ask for clean ones. The woman at the front desk questioned why I needed new sheets - claiming to make sure our room hadn't been overlooked during cleaning. Maybe it's just me, but I imagine I would have said something along the lines of "my room hasn't been cleaned" as opposed to "may I have clean sheets?" But anyway, after I asked if it would be a problem, she said no and that they would be up shortly. Immediately following the phone conversation we stepped out for a late dinner only to come back to the clean sheets sitting on a corner chair for us to replace ourselves. I'm not familiar with this hotel's housekeeping policy, but from my experience, housekeeping is generally available until 10pm. Seeing as how I had called the front desk before 9pm, I was not sure why they had not changed them. Compared to the rest of our stay, the incident was minor but did annoy me for about 10 mins. Would still recommend this location.

Rated 2 out of 5 by CarlR My experience this week
I have stayed at this hotel nearly every other week for the past 5 years. For this loyalty - I experience very little reciprocal effort. Some times I'm upgrade other times no mention..."sold out". This week was a bust. I was asked if I wanted to "go green" I asked if I could do it the first night but have my room cleaned after the second night...they said "yes" just stop by the front desk and ask that they take the code off. So that was what I did. I stopped by and asked that my room be serviced. When I returned at 7pm that evening it was not serviced. I complained and they said they could service the room. I just asked them to bring up some coffee and shampoo. No apology or effort to make it right. BTW, I was the person responsible for having my company pick this hotel as the place for our out of town traveler stay at.

Here's a list of things that weren't quite right:
* room was not cleaned one day - yet the desk tried to tell me it was so I ended up with a mess of towels, no coffee, etc the 2nd day
* Bulbs burned out in room; clock radio not working; lampshade had huge cracks in it
* No hot water in bathroom faucet
* Check-in person had an attitude; others at front desk ended up being very helpful
* I stay at this hotel ~ 2X / month and this was the least satisfying stay yet

Rated 4 out of 5 by Ann38 Good hotel, nice front desk, but no fridge
This hotel was clean and staff was friendly and attentive. The maid service tended to be a little late during the day and sometimes missed our room all together so we had to have them clean our room while we were away at dinner. The only other criticism would be that there is no fridge. Otherwise its a nice and quiet westin hotel with wonderful front desk staff.

The hotel was nice. The hot tub was broken upstairs, and I ordered room service that I had to cancel because it wasn't delivered after an hour (I was told 30 minutes). Only complaints. Everything else was lovely.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Visitor011 Good experience overall
Staff was very friendly and helpful with minor billing issues encountered during my stay this past weekend. Breakfast in the restaurant was fantastic as well.
I was disappointed in the fact that I could not open the window shade that covered the entire window in my room because it was broken (top was out of the track) and that even though the website states that valet is complimentary for guests that the sign at the entrance states it's $10/day.

We were a bit disappointed when we checked in to find we had a room across from an elevator. We never heard it, nor did we hear anyone in the hallways or adjoining rooms. The Vinifera Restaurant was excellent. We are looking forward to our next stay so we can have dinner there again. My only negative comment is that my daughter and I found it impossible to see to put makeup on in the bathroom as the lighting was less than optimal.

I have had the pleasure of staying at the Westin Reston Heights a number of times. Each time the staff and their attentiveness exceeds my expectations. The quality of the service is outstanding, as is the food. The Executive Chef's recent changes to the menu have been fantastic. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel to any SPG traveler.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Nathan Poor staff and resturant
The staff have no customer service skills to speak of. There are a couple of exceptions, but for the most part the staff are completely disinterested in assisting. I've stayed here four times, this is not an isolated experience.
The restaurant staff are particularly bad. If they aren't terrible at serving, they are just plain rude. The restaurant is incredibly over-priced and made the W in DC look like a bargain. $30 for pad thai? Really?

I stayed at your hotel for my anniversary. My boyfriend and I were very pleased with the service provided by Marc and Geneva at the front desk. Also, Alexis was not there when we checked in, but took great care of us. She made sure that we had a suite and a nice little treat waiting for us in our room. Alexis definitely made our anniversary unforgettable.
I would stay again and recommend our hotel to my family and friends.

For the last 4 years, I've attended an annual conference in Reston. 3 of these years I've stayed at The Westin as I prefer it over the host hotel. Staff is always friendly. The hotel is very clean and the lobby has an amazing aroma. I will be staying at this hotel again next year!!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Theresa Could do and look better
For the price, the room could have looked much better. The housekeeping was insufficient, they only make the beds and replace the bathroom accessories. I stayed in a suite, not much better than a regular room. If I had known the difference I would have chosen a regular room. Breakfast was HORRIBLE both days I ate there. So, I did give it a second chance, same result. Orders where never correct, the first time ordered.

Rated 4 out of 5 by brandibq This hotel is quaint and classy
I enjoyed this hotel very much - especially the Vinifera dining option - however, it is pricy, it doesn't have a spa, they charge for internet, and do not offer any complimentary fare - no social, no happy hour, no continental breakfast. For the price, I think there should be a breakfast option other than a $17 yogurt from room service. Otherwise, it smells AMAZING, is very pretty and is close to Reston Towne Center.
