Rated 5 out of 5 by The perfect boutique hotel experience. We had an event in Princeton and chose to stay at the Westin along with 17 of our guests for a long weekend. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff is extraordinary. They made us all feel very very welcomed. Any time our organization has an event in Princeton, the Westin at Forestall is our first choice for accommodations. January 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by helpful and attentive staff I checked into this hotel on a Wednesday night after a hard travel day. The front desk staff was friendly, understanding and very calming after my drive from Newark airport. They helped me get a table and service in the restaurant and when I checked out the next morning the front desk staff was again on duty and remembered me. Rated 3 out of 5 by Barking dog We checked in early hoping to take a nap before heading out to our New Year's Eve plans. Unfortunately, there was a barking dog somewhere on our floor. I spoke to the front desk but was told they couldn't do anything about it because I didn't know what room the dog was in (was I supposed to wander to floor listening at doors?!?!) I was also disappointed to have been put in a room directly across the hall from the ice machine. Overall the room did what we needed it to do. It wasn't anything special, but it also wasn't so bad that I won't stay there again. January 2, 2014

There was no hot water, one of the two rooms we reserved was not made up after the first day, the lobby Starbucks was closed, and they burned a breakfast. December 29, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Nice but not update to Westin Standards The hotel is rather nice and located near a good many things to do. The reason for our stay was for a short romantic getaway and unfortunately it fell short of what I have come to expect from Westin in a number of small ways that all lead up to a less than ideal getaway. I think the main issue was that it felt like the entire hotel was only partially open (which was odd for a Christmas week). The platinum lounge was closed, the news papers were a day old (until almost noon), the wireless internet barely worked on the 6th floor, the staff could not find any coffee creamers for our room, and ordering a simple coffee in the lounge took over 35 minute (and cost over $10 for two cups). We had a 5 night stay for business and everyday there was an issue...example all towels taken none left, when called for towels the manager brought 2 body towels only. When asked at door for more the manager got angry and then never brought additional towels...day 2 no toilet paper...the list goes on from billing to basic courtesy. December 10, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable Hotel but had issues This was my first stay at a Westin hotel and also my first ever business trip. The room and amenities are very nice and clean. The gym was amazing and is open 24/7. There are also cooled towels and various yoga type of exercise equipment. The pool is both indoor and outdoor and is also open year-round. I used the pool just once but had a great time, it's pretty big and warm. However, the pool does not have a restroom or shower for changing which can be a problem. Most people just walk to the gym's restroom for changing. I was upgraded to a business suite on the top floor and it is okay. Same size as most hotels I believe. The room has a comfortable desk for working and great views from the window. The bed is excellent and slept perfectly all four nights. The free in-room Wi-Fi like most hotels are just terrible and slow. However, I did experience some issues. The bathtub's drain does not close completely, making it hard to take a bath. It will leak water down even when closed. The only option is to keep the water running while taking a bath. I did contact the front desk about the issue to fix it but nothing changed when I checked the following day. One night when I returned to my room, the staff had forgot to clean my room. I had to contact the front desk to send a maid for cleaning which required me to wait another hour before I could go to sleep. The staff did mention that I'd be given Starwood points for the hassle but I never received the points until I called them back a week later. The location is quite convenient. it is a short 10 min drive to Princeton University and lots of parking is available. It is located in a small cozy mall-like village. However, I was unable to find any restaurants within walking distance other than a formal attire steakhouse. Overall, I had a great stay without major issues. The staff is friendly and nice but I did run into problems as noted above. I would stay again in the future if I were to travel to Princeton. November 21, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Pleasant Stay I had stayed at this property previously and was very satisfied with my previous stay. I had business near the hotel and wanted to stay at a Starwood property. I wasn't disappointed this time around. However, a couple of notes: 1) according to the front desk staff, the hotel is in the process of converting the Presidential Suite into an Executive Lounge for Platinum members. An EXCELLENT improvement over their current "lounge in a closet". 2) apparently some of those renovation activities occur before 7:00 am. So if your are in a room near the future lounge, be prepared for some early morning hammering and general banging. November 10, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Highly Personable and Attentive Staff I've been staying at the Westin Forrestal Village pretty consistently for the last 9 months. The staff, in particular at the front desk Thierry and Chris and in the lounge Ricardo, Mo and Navin, go out of their way to make me and my fellow travel companions feel welcome and almost like family coming home. They truly make business travel much more comfortable and pleasant - a suburb experience over other local hotels. October 31, 2013

The staff is the most upbeat, friendly, funny, considerate group of people I have ever dealt with in a hotel. The Westin is lucky to have such a team. Rated 3 out of 5 by Meeting rooms were not adequately temp controlled Froze at some points, too hot at other. The service was hit or miss- why would the cleaning staff clean the bathroom shortly after the meeting started- it should have been done prior to the meeting. The staff were disruptive when cleaning away the break food. when you know the meeting will break for lunch, why not just leave the morning break items until lunch instead of disrupting the meeting.. The feeling is similar to visiting relatives you love spending time with. It truly was one of the most relaxing vacations I have had in a long time. Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful hotel but don't expect to sit by the pool in September This is a beautiful hotel and the rooms are really well appointed. Everything looks and smells brand new. The staff could not be nicer. Two big questions. Why would you close down a pool for the season in mid-September when it's warm and sunny? Also, I booked myself on a "Limited Access" Concierge floor (6). I would love someone to explain to me what is so limited access about it? You don't need a key card to get to 6th floor in the elevator nor is their a club lounge. So is the extra room fee just for free internet and bottled water? Really? September 23, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bad experience with key card I appreciated a room upgrade at check-in to the Executive Level. Unfortunately, i had a bad experience with the my room's key card. I woke up and went to the 6th floor and attempted to bring breakfast and coffee back to my room. My key card did not work and while I am trying to get the key to work, i spill my coffee and all my breakfast. I proceed to go to the front desk for a replacement key and rather than spend the two cents on a new card, the front desk rep reprograms my existing key. This all takes 15 minutes because there is a line to check out and I need an escort to my room because I left my ID in the room. I go back to the sixth floor to replace my ruined breakfast and again my reprogrammed room card does not work.. Back to the front desk a second time and finally a new key card!!!! Very bad way to start my day Why don't you have a lounge for the Executive Level. The area is too small and a joke. Why don't you give ne replacement cards rather then reprogramming defective ones. Why is there only one front desk rep on at 7:00am? August 29, 2013

We arrived Sunday after noon to sit by the pool before our Monday meetings. I was able to meet with a colleague in a sitting area off the lobby to prepare for our meeting. The room and staff were great. Already planned a stay there next month. August 28, 2013

We were next to a presidential suite and there were people coming in and out all night. I guess I should of called the front desk, but I was hoping that they would go to sleep but never did. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great hotel but poor wifi in rooms I am a frequent guest at the Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village and unfortunately noticed on this past stay an increasing lack of WiFi in several rooms - I had to be moved three times. I credit David at the front desk who had to run around to multiple room to find one with “full bars”. I implore you to remedy the WiFi situation as even in past stays I have experienced weak signals. From the moment we stepped out of our car, it was an absolute breeze and pleasure staying at your location. Everyone from the doorman to the front desk agents, concierge to housekeeping greeted us with a smile and treated us with the utmost regard. I can honestly say that your stellar staff matches and exceeds the level of expertise of quality hotels worldwide. Rated 4 out of 5 by AVOID THE 2ND FLOOR I'M NOT SURE HOW CROWDED THE HOTEL WAS WHEN I STAYED BUT THEY PUT US ON THE SECOND FLOOR NEXT TO THE CONFERENCE ROOMS AND THEIR NEW WORKOUT CENTER. WE HAD ASKED FOR A LATE CHECK OUT AS WAS PART OF OUR PACKAGE BUT LEFT EARLY BECAUSE OF THE NOISE AND WE DID NOT WANT TO SWITCH ROOMS AT THAT TIME. July 22, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 Excellent Service in Restaurant There are two staff in the restaurant that provided excellent service this week. Rodney and Alberto were quick to serve each of my breakfasts, always got the order right and were attentive if i needed anything during my meal without being distracting. They both have great work attitudes and understand what customer service really means. They would be a great addition to my staff! I look forward to seeing them on my next stay. July 19, 2013
