Rated 3 out of 5 by poor service You would think that being a platinum member, that someone would remind me of the amenities that i have earned in the past. I was not informed about the continental breakfast on my floor until the last day of my stay in which I accidentally saw on my way out. Needless to say that all of the food was gone by the time I was there. Also during this visit, I was never asked to be upgrade since I have 10 upgrades to be used. Since I was never told, I decided to use my upgrade for my guests and that was allowed on the next day before they checked in. At the time of my guest check in, they were downgrade to a standard room. On a different note during my same stay, I was trying to get a hold of my guest members and the front desk had a hard time connecting me to their room. So when I arrived to my room that night, I tried to call front desk and no one answered after about 20 rings. June 1, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Spring I enjoy my stays at the Weston Princeton, but the beds are made like they are short sheeted. I always have to lft he matress and pull the sheets up so that my head is at the top of the bed. The heating system was very noisy and Because I was in the bed next to it I could feel its vibrations. That is why my answer to the sleep question is not excellent, Otherwise I really do enjoy my stay. April 28, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Stayed at this hotel many times. but We have always enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff is well trained and responsive These two days have not been up to the expectations not with respect to the room, but food service. The in-room desert service was extremely slow, and the ice cream was full of ice. Could live with that, but this morning, there was no hospitality suit as we had been told when making our reservations. That too was not an issue since we were given "vouchers" for a Continental Breakfast. That became an issue. When we arrived, there were no plates, bowls for cereal, spoons to eat with, and the "Regular Coffee" was an empty tank. When we did go to sit with our breakfast, not ONE table among the many empty had been bused and cleaned. While my wife did eventually get a two top, we carried our breakfast to our room. Again, the front desk was very responsive, but something was lacking in the experience. Maybe it was the holiday weekend? May 25, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by A bit run down Hotel in close proximity to Princeton University and surrounding businesses. I have been coming here for years. It is getting run down. There was gum on our carpet, the toilet kept running and the bathroom was a bit dirty. I'd like to see a makeover... July 15, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Needs some quality help Overall hotel experience was average at best. The indoor pool area the first night we arrived was dirty and the water was cloudy with dark matter floating in it. The next morning I went for breakfast and could not find a hostess or staff member to help me until I walked into the restaurant and was helped by a manager that was not wearing a name tag. I thought she was a guest until she spoke to me. The food came out promptly and was good. At around 12pm I went to the pool and there were no towels available until an hour later when a pool attendant came out and set up a towel display. Later that night when I went to the bar, we had trouble getting service. The bar manager informed me that a number of staff did not show up for work. The outdoor patio area was covered in dirty dishes and beer bottles. The drinks were slow to come out, but I thanked the bar keep and manager for doing their best. The front desk did a great job all weekend, and the rooms ladies were very helpful in navigating the hotel. June 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great hotel but poor wifi in rooms I am a frequent guest at the Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village and unfortunately noticed on this past stay an increasing lack of WiFi in several rooms - I had to be moved three times. I credit David at the front desk who had to run around to multiple room to find one with “full bars”. I implore you to remedy the WiFi situation as even in past stays I have experienced weak signals. Rated 4 out of 5 by Pretty nice hotel Overall, this is a pretty nice hotel. It has a lovely indoor pool, though as some previous reviews have commented, it did seem murky. The lobby area is pretty but small by Westin standards. The rooms were fine, though the bathroom was in need of renovation, and there was a bit of a musty smell. The front desk staff was very pleasant at check in as was the attendant at the coffee shop. November 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by helpful and attentive staff I checked into this hotel on a Wednesday night after a hard travel day. The front desk staff was friendly, understanding and very calming after my drive from Newark airport. They helped me get a table and service in the restaurant and when I checked out the next morning the front desk staff was again on duty and remembered me. Your staff is to be commended for attention and service! January 17, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Hate to Write... Wow, the staff needs a lesson in customer service. We had a 5 night stay for business and everyday there was an issue...example all towels taken none left, when called for towels the manager brought 2 body towels only. When asked at door for more the manager got angry and then never brought additional towels...day 2 no toilet paper...the list goes on from billing to basic courtesy. December 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Most relaxing and enjoyable stay The relaxing atmosphtere at the Westin in Princeton along with the staff who went above and beyond to make our stay truly relaxing and enjoyable. The feeling is similar to visiting relatives you love spending time with. It truly was one of the most relaxing vacations I have had in a long time. Have already booked another stay for later this month. Cannot wait - Edie Sause October 8, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by not so westinish Westin if you will switch the brand at this property to Four Points it will be proper, as this Westin does not have what usually Westins have: SPG lounge, kids club etc. Hotel has good helpful staff, spacious bathrooms, Westin comfortable beds and showers. (What else hotel needs) But poor breakfasts, poor SPG recognition and unacceptably low quality of water at swimming pool. July 7, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love this hotel! I just spent the better part of a month in the Westin Forrestal Village. I can't think of one thing the staff could have done to make my stay any better! The staff is the most upbeat, friendly, funny, considerate group of people I have ever dealt with in a hotel. The Westin is lucky to have such a team. I can't wait to return to the east coast for my next month stay! October 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has everything. The rooms were really nice and the hotel is beautiful inside and out. It's in the perfect area, nestled among shops and restaurants. There's always something to do. I even had a Starbucks Parfait in the morning - what more could you ask for? July 1, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel Rooms Hotel rooms need new carpet. Especially on the Starwood preferred guest floor. July 25, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Too many unruly guests and not enough staff We planned a romantic weekend away and it didn't turn out that way. The hotel had a lot of guests for the weekend, a large wedding and a large family group. The staff was completely overwhelmed and the facilities and other guests suffered from lack of control over the large family gathering. The pool was not accessible to other guests not involved with the large family group and even it was I would not swim in that water. The conditions were deplorable and I wouldn't even let my dogs swim in it. There was some kind of cooking going on in the room down the hall which filled the hallway with an odor. A large bag of trash was left in the hallway after housekeeping finished for the day. The guests in the large family group brought a ton of children who were unsupervised most of the time and rude. They walked through the lounge with wet bathing suits and bare feet interrupting other guests there who were trying to enjoy any part of the hotel that was still available to them to relax in. They ignored the request of the bartender, who was the only one who spoke up, and pushed him aside and laughed in his face and proceeded to use the lounge as an entrance to the restroom instead of using the access doors in the pool area. Stones & towels were thrown in the pool and the water was so cloudy you couldn't see the bottom. Glasses were being used poolside instead of plastic causing a possible safety risk. At no point did we observe any type of hotel management or security stepping in to try to control them. A lot of guests came down dressed in swimsuits only to find it impossible to relax by the pool anytime during the weekend. At checkout, the man at the desk knew exactly why I said "my stay was not enjoyable". I feel like we were taken advantage of and wasted 10,000 Starwood points plus charged a nightly rate and high taxes, not to mention the dog sitting fees I paid to escape to relaxing weekend. So again, Corporate America wins at the expense of their consumers. I hope a lot of other guests who were dissatisfied with the 8/15/14 weekend at the Princeton Westin confirm my comments. Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for my needs during business trip My wife and I both had meetings in the Princeton, NJ area and we were able to coordinate the dates and travel together. We arrived Sunday after noon to sit by the pool before our Monday meetings. I was able to meet with a colleague in a sitting area off the lobby to prepare for our meeting. The room and staff were great. Already planned a stay there next month. August 28, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by use of general areas by large groups use and occupation of general areas by large groups was very disturbing and limiting the use by other guests. July 21, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by NEEDS MUCH IMPROVEMENT From a filthy outside exterior of candy wrappers and cigarette butts, to being misinformed on a number of levels, to a dirty DIAPER SITTING poolside...I would not recommend for the money. July 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice hotel, service/maintenance could be improved Pros: -Good location at Forrestal Village, close to restaurants and nearby companies. -Nice and overall clean hotel. -Super comfortable beds. -Great staff at the front desk and for room service, always friendly. -Convenient shuttle service. Cons: -Many issues with housekeeping, half-cleaning the rooms, not replacing bottles of shampoo etc. 2 weeks ago a housekeeping lady walked in when I was in the shower, and instead of apologizing she complained because I didn't answer when she knocked. -Maintenance could be improved: some rooms (666, 466...) are in bad shape, cardio equipment of fitness center is clearly not well maintained. -Limited room service options, and service is slow (45 mins). "Grab and go" breakfast always in short supply. -Several times, I was given double beds when I specifically booked a king bed. Overall, I enjoy staying at this hotel but I haven't seen any signs of improvement on those "cons" over the past 2 years. June 4, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Large group of people There was a large group that came together. We felt that they thought the hotel was theirs. The pool was monopolized by them. Kids running around everywhere, even late at night. July 7, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by No spg member rewards No rewards were offered on arrival even though I am a gold member July 21, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Just OK - needs some updating Generally ok though a bit less than Westin standards relative to others i've stayed at. Seems just a bit tired. No need for major remodel as others suggested, just surface updates like new carpeting. Stains and worn in both hallways and rooms. One of the elevators also was real clunky. Lobby and restaurant area was fine. Service was pleasant. December 10, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by The staff was very accommodating The hotel was very busy, but the staff was very accommodating. July 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by nice hotel It was nice to see the hotel saw my spg status and upgraded me to the next best room they had. This made my stay very easy since i was near the complimentary breakfast area on the 6th floor. This saved me a lot of time each morning. I thank the girl at the front desk. I cannot remember her name but she always smiled and she spoke very well. December 7, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Clean and Quiet My husband and I had a nice time, especially because the rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable. The night we arrived the elevators were out of service, but the staff didnt acknowledge anything and just instructed us to carry our bags up the flight of stairs. If you are in the princeton area, the Westin is definitely a nice option. January 1, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Staff at the Restaraunt A really great staff at the restaurant and at the front door. The reception staff is a bit stiff. Overall a good hotel conveniently located to the campus. Just a short 5 minutes drive. July 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great stay Although it was a great stay, the room was very dusty when we arrived and our only problem was the room next to us decided to pull an all nighter. We were next to a presidential suite and there were people coming in and out all night. I guess I should of called the front desk, but I was hoping that they would go to sleep but never did. August 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The perfect boutique hotel experience. We had an event in Princeton and chose to stay at the Westin along with 17 of our guests for a long weekend. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff is extraordinary. They made us all feel very very welcomed. Any time our organization has an event in Princeton, the Westin at Forestall is our first choice for accommodations. January 28, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Rooms needs need to be checked 1. Drain on shower was very clogged (tub filled with water -- disgusting) 2. Heat did not seem to work. I woke up very cold in the middle of the night & turned it up to 76 degrees then woke up still freezing in the morning. 3. This was the second room I was given. The first room had been smoked in recently & still smelled. February 3, 2014
