I love coming into the entry with the fountain in the background. Bright and airy. The rooms are spacious and clean. Great selection on room service with delicious healthy choices too.

The room was extremely warm so i set the thermostat to 65. While i slept or didn't sleep the air/heater went off all night makeing a very loud roar each time it went on. OMG! A terrible nights sleep.

The hotel was just steps away from the theater where we were planning to see Wicked. We wouldn't have known to walk except that very friendly and helpful valet staff suggested it and gave directions.

Wonderful Westin unless you like to work out in the morning. The gym is way too small for the hotel. You often have to wait for machines. Perfect other than that.

The lobby and staff are great, but the rooms are a little run-down with gaps in the tile and the wallpaper coming off a bit. Overall the hotel is fine, just the rooms probably need a little upgrade.

Never mind the fact that the parking is located in a separate structure 500 or so feet away. 3 things occurred during my stay which frankly surprised me for a Starwood hotel.
1. Hot water was inconsistent (~10pm). Enough so that I eventually just had to cut my bath short.
2. The movie I ordered (Elysium) stopped playing all of a sudden and when I called the front desk they said they'd credit the $ back and send someone up to take a look. 15 mins later and still no one has arrived. I eventually got the movie started again and when I check out the next day the front desk discovers that the charge is still in fact on my bill and proceeds to remove it "again".
3. The hvac unit was so noisy that I had to turn it off just to be able to sleep. I was told later by the front desk that the hotel was a retrofit of an old building and there was still work to be done. She added that this is a common complaint for this location.
I like to think of myself as open minded and usually pretty easy going but these events made for a stay chock full of interruptions. I hope they improve upon these things.

Everything was great excerpt out room was not cleaned on Saturday. When we asked directions to knotts berry farm we were told to look for knotts road. Directions were incorrect its on beach blvd.

I did not have AC for the first 2 nights of my 3 night stay. The beds were nice but having to wet down a towel to drape over me so that I could catch some sleep was a terrible experience for me.

The hotel had an excellent staff and the facilities were also excellent. I would recommend this hotel for those reasons as well as its proximity to the airport, shopping, restaurants, and beach.

The bell staff is efficient and friendly. The hotel is really well located to amazing shopping and the top restaurants in the OC. No frills hotel but well located. Rooms could use a renovation.

Very helpful staff. Better than expected comfort and cleanliness. Excellent restaurant with reasonable wine and food prices for the quality.
Comfortable bed. Good shower and good large towels.

This hotel is in the best locarion for business and pleasure in Orange County. Everything from restaurants, shopping and entertainment are close by. Including John Wayne Airport (Santa Anna).

First night at the hotel was fine but the second evening I come to my room around 7p to see and a hear being dryed out or something with an industrial sized fan. There was a sign warning about asbestos which didn't make me feel very good. I was in my room relaxing but since the machine was running right across from me it was really bothersome. I understand maintenance has to be done in a while, which is why I didn't call until 9 or so asking when it'll finish. The service express desk person said it'll be finished shortly and sure enough the fan stops and she calls back confirming it's gone. I thought things were fine until around 10p there is a lot of clinging and clanging and they're disassembling something. It went for more than 10 min and so I called again asking if it's really finished and to inform the manager that it is bothersome to have loud maintenance at 10pm.
I got a note from the manager later that night apologizing and to accept a gift of points. I checked my account and no extra points were given.
Again, I understand maintenance is needed and I don't want to talk down on a hotel for doing that, but overall I didn't have the most pleasant experience here.

1. valve in tub/shower to switch to shower doesn't work well. Water still running into tub.
2. Lack of bell people @ check out time.Had to bring down own luggage as couldn't wait for them.

Great location for travel up or down the coast.
Good shopping and dining choices nearby.
Special bonus was the theater and orchestra hall within walking distance.

We were very happy with our stay. I wish we had time to stay longer. The whole family enjoyed our stay. Everyone at the hotel was so nice. I have only great things to say about this Hotel.

The overall condition of the hotel was disappointing for a Westin. Old carpeting and elevators. Shower needed caulking. Pool area was a let down.
Workout area was up to typical standards!

With both families in OC, staying the weekend before Christmas at the Westin (South Coast Plaza) will be our new Holiday Tradition. Lovely hotel and excellent service without being stuffy!

Got into the SPG floor room, and the toilet seat was not clean. I was able to get a new room from another floor, and found out the drink glasses were dirty. I was disappointed.

must have had a new housekeeper. in room coffee was not replenished, half and half creamers were out of date and curdled , soaps were not replaced.

Excellent staff, but they need to upgrade TV's and my bed felt like I was sleeping on marshmallow. Room decor is also in need of a facelift. Disappointed with my overall experience.

The hotel was beautifully decorated with flowers and greens and a waterfall. Very relaxing especially with those incredible beds. The walking bridge to the Mall was so convienent.

I put on no clean notice on the door before I leave the room. When I came back, the room was cleaned. But I couldn't find my cell phone charger anymore. Stay away from this hotel!

I recommend car self parking should be FREE for hotel residents (guests).
Also. reduce your food prices.

We did not eat in the hotel...price was to high, especially since having lots of competition around. Beautiful hotel, up keeping and smell was FANTASTIC!!!

A wonderful hotel with friendly staff and clean facilities. Admittedly, I'm never staying long enough to enjoy the gym and pool, but the rooms are comfortable and well appointed.

spent >30 min for checking due to gap in price between my booking and reception.
when I came to the room, bed making was not completed.
No shampoo or conditioner was there
