Rated 5 out of 5 by Mini Bar Issues The hotel was great overall. I will stay again. However, there was one issue with the mini-bar charges. I was charged for two items that I did not purchase. I have attempted to address them twice with no success. Given the nominal fee, it is not worth pursuing any further. July 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Hotel This was my first visit to this property and am looking forward to returning in two weeks. The only down side is that my early morning meetings did not allow me to enjoy the hotel more. Service was extremely friendly and professional. Nice SPG upgrade to the corner premier room. Was impressed that the bathroom had just been redone, so cleanliness was top level. February 18, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good location, large rooms, well maintained The hotel is in an excellent location, central and easy to walk to cable cars, the market, and lots of shopping! They tout their Tesla charger, but only if you pay for valet parking, about $60 a night, and then you have to pay for every 20 minutes that you have the car charging. Unpleasant valet person, so this was a big negative. June 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great location I was there for OOW and the location could not be more perfect. There were events happening at the hotel... The problem was my room. When I checked in, my upgraded room was not ready so I took another. Then the safe was locked and the wireless phone was not working. There was one guy (not sure his name) at service expressed that sounded annoyed when I called. October 5, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Usual Quality Experience When in San Francisco I almost always stay at the Westin Hotel. The Staff is competent and friendly. The rooms are well appointed and clean. It affords great room service. There is also a first-rate restaurant and a full bar. What's not to like? One caveat: the tv remote didn't work properly and this has happened before. I recommend getting updating remotes. December 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good hotel in an excellent location The Westin on Market Street is very well located within walking distance of Union Square, and near 2 BART stops. Moreover the hop-on, hop-off tourist bus has a stop in front of the hotel. Spacious and clean rooms, and an excellent breakfast buffet. Adequate fitness room (but a bit small at peak hours). Professional and friendly staff. Good concierge service. October 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by A very nice experience The lobby is well organized including lots of small corners to sit and talk with friends. A nice feature is the ability to print boarding passes right at the concierge desk. The elevators were fast but access was slow during "rush hour" periods. The restaurant and bar were first class. It is very nice that the Airport access via a close BART is available. February 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Hotel, Good People; HORRIBLE FOOD!!! Toby the concierge was excellent as were front desk folks. Hotel was good, clean, comfortable room. The food served at the luncheons was absolutely horrible. Chicken 2 days in a row was tasteless & tough-both days, desserts were served frozen. I travel regularly and this was absolutely the worst food served to a group in recent memory. Totally unacceptable. May 15, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice weekend in San Francisco Upon arrival we were quickly greeted by staff to assist us for our room. The staff was pleasant and helpful in assisting us with our room. We checked in later so was not able to acquire a king room as requested, however, the double queen room beds were comfortable. July 21, 2014

Rated 2 out of 5 by Dirty Room Upon arriving in my room, the sheets on my bed had not been changed (woman's hair on in the sheets and a Starburst smashed on the top sheet). I asked and the hotel staff did change the sheets. My room was not cleaned after the first night. I asked for it to be cleaned and, this time, it never was. The front desk was apologetic but not helpful. April 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel provides great customer service I arrived first thing in the mening which can be an issue for some hotels, but not in this case. I dropped off my car, checked in and was in my room all within 20 minutes. When I went to check out, there was a line and the bellman kindly took my key and let me know I would receive the final receipt via email. I received the email within 15 minutes! February 1, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by disappointed The bellman was rude grabbing my bag from me when i attempted to carry it myself, we were told by one desk clerk that we couldnt check in early, but then when we checked back an hour later a different desk clerk simply changed our room assignment so we could. I dont like the fact that the refrigerator is used only as a minibar, so it cant be used. August 12, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Check for special events before you book During my stay there was a college public relations event which comprised of hundreds of college students. Parties and music at night and impossible to get an elevator going either up or down in the morning or in the evening. My suggestion is before you stay here is to contact the hotel and find out if there are any special events before you book. October 16, 2012

Rated 4 out of 5 by Location is the best part We booked a 'deluxe' category room. It was a small room with an even smaller bathroom, absolutely no view. I would have like to see what a 'standard' room looked like. I would definitely book Superior or higher. We were not offered a choice of a better room, even though we gladly would have paid more for a larger room or a room with a view. March 30, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Zeke and Sara were great! We stay at this hotel often and all the front desk staff are great every time. This time Zeke and Sara helped us out a couple times during our stay and also greeted us warmly upon check-in. The staff at the Westin SF Market Street are all top notch and make us feel welcome and that when we ask for something, they are truly happy to help us out. February 7, 2013

Your front desk staff are extremely nice our request for a rollaway one nite of our stay was made no problem. Your doormen and car valet efficient and friendly. Rated 5 out of 5 by Best stay yet in SF We spent 3 days in San Francisco at the Westin. It is the best value and was very impressed by the hotel and staff. We will definitely stay here again. Staff member Freddie took care of us and even upgraded our room to one with a view. The service was very fast. Staying at the Westin definitely completed an excellent vacation in San Francisco. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great downtown location Nicely appointed, clean and comfortable. Great floor to ceiling window view. I was worried about noise since my room adjoined the elevator shafts, but it was not disturbing. A slight annoyance is zero space in the mini-bar fridge as it's stuffed with items to buy: arrange for a courtesy fridge when you check in if you need any space at all. July 2, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Unusually sub-par Let's see: concierge gave me wrong (very local) directions, no room service available until 5.30p (flew in from the east coast and had to work in-room), had to call twice for a room service menu, housekeeping didn't make up my room (which was vacant from 7.30a - 10p at night). Normally Westins are good, and just won't stay in this one again April 14, 2013
