Rated 4 out of 5 by Front Office I think this section in the hotel needs improvements. Firstly, this is my first time checking in using cash+award points as a Platinum member. I am not sure if I am entitled to all the Platinum member benefits as I was checking in using cash+award points. Only on the 3rd day was I made aware that I was entitled to all the benefits when one of the check-in staff handed me the list of benefits. Check in staff should remind guests of their entitlements. Due to this, my guests and I missed 2 days worth of benefits. Secondly, there was a discrepancy in billing where one of the rooms I was in wasn't billed accordingly. The mode of payment was meant to be cash+award points but full award points was billed. I can’t see how this mistake could have been made when there was already a pre arrangement on payment mode. Thirdly, one of the rooms checked out a day early which then caused one of the other 2 valid room’s keys were wrongly cancelled. Information like this is important which can prevent annoying inconveniences to the guests. In this case, it caused my guests problems. December 24, 2012

Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Service and Overall Experience We wish to register our complain about Westin KL while we were staying at room 2407 from the 25/26 March 2014. Following are the issues that occurred during our short stay: 1. Upon arrival, while waiting at 3rd floor executive club for check-in, we found your service staff unattentive and poorly trained. Our drinks arrived late and was delivered to the wrong table. 2. We ordered room service on the 25 Mar 14 night, a plate of Seafood Ho Fan and 2 glasses of fresh orange juice with 2 sets of cutlery as we were sharing. We received our food served on a badly stained (dirtied) table cloth, only one glass of orange juice, one set of cutlery with no napkins. 3. The Room key card malfunctioned, we had difficulty in getting into our room each time. We ended having it replaced in frustration. 4. On the 26 Mar 14 morning around 10am, while my wife was sleeping in the room, a hotel personnel entered our room without any notice or ringing of bell. He entered our room and removed the room service table, and startled my wife. This is the worst thing to have happened. There is a breach in security and privacy issue that we need to address here. The question that we need to ask here is that can Westin afford for something to happen to my wife while she was sleeping when a stranger entered our room? 5. At around noon on 26 Mar 2014, we headed for Westin Café "The Living Room" for a quick lunch as we need to check out. We ordered Caesar Salad and Nasi Goreng. Not only was the food badly cooked with the rice all soggy, we were not served our salad even after our meal. 6. Upon checking out, we provided feedback to your service staff but nothing was done. 7. In additional, stationery was not available in our room. 8. We cannot located "Room Service Dinning Menu". Please contact us, our experience this time round with Westin KL is totally unacceptable. Being a regular guest, we are very disappointed. March 27, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by The hotel is good but housekeeping could do better I was surprised that the housekeeping would left the unwashed cups in the sink. No one washed the cups during my stay. Also, our pyjamias were left unfolded on the sofa. I think the housekeeping could do better December 28, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by House Keeping Needs Improvement Westin KL is a nice hotel and convinence location. This was not my first time there. However, the last stay was disappointed due to 2 incidents occurred with laundry and housekeeping service not up to expectation. 1) housekeeping staff did not come to clean my room and pick up the laundry. It was 2:30pm when I was back to my room, room was not cleaned, laundry not picked up. Housekeeper explained that I did pushed the button of "Privacy Please" button and that why they did not came in but the interesting facts is there are someone brought me a plate of fruit and left it on my desk. And then they said I didn't push the "Clean My Room" button as this makes a lower priority. I never have to done that anywhere I stayed. Good that they were able to rush the laundry for me the same day. The second incident is the mixed up my laundry with someone the next day. It took them around 2 hours to sort things out and bring back my cloths. Due to I am planning to check out that late evening, I end up staying in my room waiting to ensure I am able to get the right cloths that afternoon. My afternoon was toasted. August 24, 2013
