Awesome place to stay. Staff went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and welcome. Rooms were clean, comfortable and above expectations.

Great hotel, nice room, house keeping wasn't great... but overall nice hotel. Watch out for parking... they charge too much and it's inconvenient!

Upon arrival was upgraded to 1 bedroom suite based on Gold Preferred status. The next morning could not get cold water in the room. to any of the facuets and visited the front desk where i learned that hotel engineering was working on the issue as the whole bank of rooms vertically i was part of had the same issue. i was immediately provided a different suite since i was to be there 3 additional nights. That afternoon i had mentioned to Adam in the lobby bar (also works pool and room service from what i saw) my expereince and with his initiative he had some comlimentary drinks and snacks brought up to my suite in time for the NFL playoff game. The Italian restaurant at the hotel was so good i dined there 3 of the evenings and never had to leave the property for dinner. The only negative comment i have is that each morning i would request service on the room so when i would be back later that afternoon it would be clean so i could work from this soace and on all 3 occassions it was not serviced upon my return. However once done it was spotless. Overall an enjoyable stay and would come back and highly recommend for busiiness travelers.

This hotel was really nice. I enjoyed myself for the short period I was there. I would definitely go back for a another personal or business trip.

We had a room right above the outside Valet stand and they talked loud all night long. The windows were not sound proof like some other Westin's.

Stylish. Rooms have kitchens, sofas, balconies. Easy Parking. Best Staff. Brought me glue so I could fix broken glasses. Beautiful landscaping

I had stayed at this hotel several years ago and loved it. I was hoping my experience would be the same on this return trip several years later. I am happy to report that it’s still amazing. The hotel is across from the convention center but on the quiet side – good for being away from the craziness of the convention center but not great if you want to walk to any restaurants. For me, I enjoyed the relaxing feeling of not being in the middle of all the convention center and crowded road of restaurants.
The lobby of the hotel is bright, open and well maintained. All of the staff – front desk, valet, housekeeping, and room service – were very friendly and helpful. I was so happy walking into my room that was large and so relaxing. I felt cool and at ease and this Westin is so well maintained it was a pleasure to stay here again. I was upgraded to a 2 br suite and it was very large. Even my colleagues who were in standard rooms (where I was on my previous stay), couldn’t stop talking about how much they enjoyed their stays.
I would absolutely stay here again if I was in the area. Thank you Westin Universal Boulevard for maintaining such a relaxing property.

As soon as I entered the main lobby as a guest at the North Orlando Westin and I fell in love with their white tea scent (Im in to smells) At the very top of the list regarding service - Renford - Stuart & Tom
Dont get me wrong.....everyone played a part in welcoming me however these three distinguished men in particular went above and beyond the call of duty....You could easily find the Executive V.P (Stu) picking up trash or shuttling our business group to and fro. Tom had only been there a year and could tell you any and everything you ever wanted to know about the Westin (but were too afraid to ask) and finally Renford-Let me tell you.....simply put He's that guy!
Whatever it takes and whenever it needs to be done he always two steps ahead. The supporting staff complimented managemet so well you could hardly tell (excluding the uniform) one from the other and thats how it SHOULD be. I dont have the time or space here to tell you how pleased I was with the Westin but I will give you furthur perspective....I became a SPG member BEFORE my stay was over and I highly suggest any and everyone who travels for business or pleasure join and join TODAY!

Let me start by explaining that I have been staying at Westin Orlando Universal Blvd since this property first opened. I have held company functions there, this has been my default property when my company has been attending conferences at the convention center across the road and I have booked blocks of rooms, and it is still my first choice when I come to Orlando. Having said that there has recently been a significant drop off in the quality of some of the rooms
Last month I vacationed in Orlando with my family and we had 3 rooms for 5 nights at this property. My room was terrible and certainly not on par with my previous experiences nor what I would expect from a Westin hotel. The room (Room 830) was musty and on the last day my girlfriend decided to try and find the source of the odor we were experiencing. We found the culprit….a significant mold build up by the door and windows. My girlfriend has respiratory issues and by the time we were departing the mold in the room had caused her to struggle to breathe.
Besides the mold, the room really needs to be deep cleaned. The bathroom wall looked like someone had thrown up on it, the shower had mold throughout the grout and the walls in the living room and entry way were just plain dirty and stained and didn't look like they had been cleaned in a long time. The air duct was also another source of dust and mold and was layered with a thick coating of dust. This isn't something that builds up over a couple of days during our stay.
I really do enjoy staying at this property (I'm booked to stay again in June) however I struggle with this decision given the state of disrepair I am seeing in the rooms and the impact these conditions have had on my family.

We were extremely disappointed with our stay at the Westin Universal Blvd, Orlando. First off, we booked through Hotwire and we feel that the rate was fair. We arrived at about 1am and there were no snags with checking in, but the front desk agent (Trevor, I believe) did not seem to care that we had a Starwood Preferred Guest membership. The room we were given was on the second floor overlooking a concrete deck (could not even see the pool; it was behind a concrete wall). We were given a handicapped room (not requested and not needed) which had a shower but no bath (we have little kids who like baths). The shower was set so low and in the centre of the back wall so the water sprayed directly into the bathroom. Even worse, it did not get hot enough for a comfortable shower. When we called front desk to enquire, the agent said with a laugh that we had to let it run for 10-15 minutes before it got hot!!! At a 4 star hotel??? We do not wish to waste water, so that is totally unacceptable. Additionally, our room was never vacuumed; we saw the same pieces of fluff/garbage on day 5 that we'd noticed on our first morning (and I'm not talking about things against the baseboards). One night our phone started making the "busy" sound, about an hour after we'd fallen asleep. The phone was not off the hook! We picked up receiver of the non-hands free phone (across the room) and put it back down, and 15 minutes or so later, same thing. Had to unplug the phone-the hands free phone never worked (out of batteries?) A couple positives: the kids loved finding Easter eggs filled with goodies out back and the bell desk staff were lovely. Are front desk agents instructed to give those who book through a third party the worst rooms? Why would you encourage your guests to belong to "Starwood Preferred" if you are not going to make them feel in any way preferred?
