Rated 3 out of 5 by Stayed before flight At check in there was no recognition of SPG gold member, had 8 year old and was not given kid amenity as listed, room was on corner in the street with lots of noise, overcharged for internet that we never used, asked for rollaway and then was called 3 times after we had fallen asleep to see if it arrived, parking ticket did not work so we had to go back to front desk to get new ticket March 24, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by slightly worn, but comfortable This is an airport hotel built some time ago, and you feel it around the edges: it’s rather worn, the rooms a bit dated (I was getting a strong 70s vibe). But the sound proofing is excellent, the beds comfortable, and it does what it’s supposed to do, i.e., provide you with a place to sleep before you head somewhere else. Perfectly acceptable, and the customer service was very good. December 7, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Management The management was not caring enough to incident that happened to me while on my stay at your hotel. I will be calling corporate office about the incident. The hot tub at night was cold, they ask you if you want to opt out of housekeeping and receive a $5 voucher eveverynight of your stay were you can use anywhere in the hotel, not true ! Parking is too expensive for guests there. June 19, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by No free ammenities Stayed here for a one day layover in LA on our way to New Zealand. They charge $25 for overnight parking plus tax. They also charge for Wi-Fi and only free Wi-Fi that I they have is in the lobby which is useless if you're staying there. Charging money for every single amenity and A high amount at that really left a bad taste in my mouth. I would not recommend this place to anyone. February 6, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Dirty Bathroom When I book at the Westin, I expect excellence. Usually, they come through. This time was different. We arrived at the hotel late due to a flight delay. We asked for a crib for our 7 month old and it took 45 minutes for them to bring it up. Poor little Hudson ended up sleeping on the floor. The worst of it though was that our bathroom sink was filthy... hair and dirt caked to the side of it. I thought it would be a quick fix and turned the water on to wash it away and the drain was clogged. Since it was so late and we were only staying one night, we just cleaned up and brushed our teeth in the tub! When I checked out the next morning, I was expecting some sort of compensation for our troubles and while the gentleman was very nice, all we got was an "I'm sorry." I have always thought of the Westin as one of the nicest hotels with the best customer service. Now I'm not so sure we will be staying there again. :( August 8, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Better and better We have stayed at the Westin LAX 3 or 4 times. Each time it gets better. This hotel is ideally located near the airport and many freeways making access to any part of the LA area easy. The addition of the Daily Grill restaurant is a plus that offers dining at your convenience. The workout facility has up to date equipment. Rooms are comfortable, clean and roomy enough for two. Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst SPG experience The hotel and staff are average, with the exception of their managers who are not in my opinion. A hotel emplyee (unknown as security never responded to me) tried to enter my room without permission or notice, slamming the door open against the flip lock. The employee ignored me, security did not respond and the manager told me not to worry about it. Will not stay here again. October 29, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Stay On February 7 thru 10 I flew to LA for a long weekend with a friend and to visit two of my college classmates. My stay at the Westin was wonderful. The staff that was there when I visited 3 years ago remembered me and they made me feel so welcome. When my classmates came over, they to said," that they felt welcome". The room was comfortable, quite and the food was great. February 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Best feature Shuttle to beach $5.00 round trip Great room, hotel ameniities gym ,etc very good. Lounge area is relaxing. I attended a conference at this site. The theater, meeting rooms and availability to get to Manhatten beach and shops for $5.00 round trip with bus passing by each half hour allowed us to get out and see some of LA. Food was good although a bit pricey, but hey this is LA. I would stay there again. July 25, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Raindrops falling on my head I liked so many things about this hotel with one major exception -- the shower. Women, if you think you are going to be able to rinse a full head of hair while shampooing, you are seriously misled. Actually I would go so far as to say the bath combined a workout feature with the shower. I spent a great deal of effort running in the tub trying to catch the droplets as they dripped from the large and lovely showerhead. There was not enough water to keep my whole body wet at the same time! Unfortunately there is no shower or locker room in the fitness area which might have served as an alternative. In all other respects, this is a fine hotel and a good value. The restaurant is good; the bed was comfortable; the shuttle to the airport is convenient and punctual. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. The rooms are pleasant, nicely furnished, and even include a window that opens! Now if they only improve the shower... February 28, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Stay Hello Westin, Yet another amazing stay with your hotel. The reservation clerk was extremely friendly, made sure I was processed with a friendly smile. The hotel operator knew my name and answered all my questions. The Daily Grill had the perfect menu, Chris Lorino's entire staff made sure my stay was pleasant. Thank you Westin LAX.. Rated 4 out of 5 by Decent Property / Great Location SPG status was NOT recognized upon check-in. I asked for an upgrade and was told the hotel was sold out. I also had to ask for Club access and was initially said it wasn't available, until I said I was a Platinum member, then it was given to me. Concierge Noe was fantastic and helped us with car service and restaurant suggestions. Pool didn't have enough towels. August 12, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Hollywood Show Stay Most everything was fine, but the temperature of the common area facility on Friday evening was extremely uncomfortable because of how cold it was. The room was nice and the menu was good, but everyone was noting how uncomfortable it was --yet it took until the next day to really adjust reasonably. Concierge was very helpful with transportation needs on Saturday. January 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great stay at a reasonable price Booked the Westin has we had rented a car at Thrifty Car Rental which is right across the street. Everything from checkin to checkout was great. I think it is very reasonably priced given it's location and it's amenities. Only issue is having to pay for computer time and also the printing of our boarding passes. We will certainly stay here again if we are in LA. February 24, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by This Hotel Needs A Facelift I expected more from Westin, this airport hotel is in need of a complete makeover. Plastic cups in the bathroom and guest room ? Paper cups with the coffee machine ? Hand shower left in the on position resulting in bath towels getting a good spraying when the shower is turned on ? On the plus side the bed was comfortable & front desk staff were excellent. September 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by staff was extremely nice and friendly I visited this hotel and the guy (leon) checked me and my husband in was so helpful and super nice, he did anything and everything to make our trip fabulous. I don't meet customer service agents like him everyday so he kinda made my day by providing us the best he customer service, hotel and room itself was great , we had no issues at all and felt like home. Rated 5 out of 5 by Not an average airport hotel The Westin LAX is an excellent hotel. Comfortable beds, great staff, good conditions and reasonably priced. Having a first class restaurant in the hotel is a big plus. Also, it's location next to Thrifty Car rental is perfect (if you rent a car there) and the airport shuttle is efficient and easy. Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointed I am very fond of Westin hotels but had several problems during my short stay at the LAX Westin. The rooms are in need of rennovation and I had problems with package delivery as well as reservations in the Grill restaurant. My experience was not indicative of the quality I expect with the Westin brand. Access to the club lounge was not worth the extra cost. November 19, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Dirty room, no operational Wi-Fi Despite being on the "executive" level my room was dirty and had left over plates and wine glasses from the last guest. I could not connect to the Wifi and asked to be moved to another room where I still could not connect. Not even close to Westin standards. Don't stay at this hotel. January 8, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Hotel is a Westin only in name This hotel was unsatisfactory. It does not do justice to the Westin name. The rooms aren't clean. Actually we had to change rooms because our first room had a filthy and disgusting restroom. The second room was better but there was still a weird smell. Definitely won't stay here again. Remodel and new cleaning staff should be in this hotel's future. November 7, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by great location We stay at the Westin Lax several times year. Leon on the front desk is the best as are all the front desk people. Staff always have a smile for you, the rooms are comfortable. There seems to be a problem with getting a clean room. This is the second time this year that the rooms were not properly cleaned and restocked. We will be back in Dec. w April 29, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Lacking The WiFi was the most expensive I have seen. No courtesy coffee or teas in the lobby. The Starbucks cups are cardboard and add an unpleasant taste to the drinks. There are several hotels every bit as nice and less expensive than this one very close in proximity who offer free full breakfast, 24 hour hot drinks and toiletries if you forget them. April 29, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Convenience is its only selling point This Westin did not meet my expectations. I typically stay in Westins because they tend to be cleaner and more comfortable than most starwoods--but the bathroom was old and run down--the hotel was full of dance moms and there was a dog kennel out back with barking dogs at all hours. Not at all the heavenly experience I usually have at a Westin. April 6, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Stay The check in was could have been qicker, There wasn't an agent at the counter as I arrived. I am surprised that a hotel with this cost per night does not provide free internet service, especially give the fact that even the most basic hotels provide this at no cost to their guests. Systems were out for 5-6 hours and the staff was not prepared and lacked the plans and know how to operate without the systems. Major delays at check in, to be let into room and across the board. No compensation program and lacked Management oversight. Disappointing from a SPG property that should have procedures September 11, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Room condition I was disgusted with the room condition of this hotel. Westin is to me a 5-star hotel but not this one! Room smelled moldy and of stale chemicals. The shower had lukewarm water at nights. OK in the mornings. The duct was filthy thick with dust. Telephone and remote control of tv not working. Other than the room condition, it was a fine stay. Rated 3 out of 5 by A little dingy, but nice The terrace suite was nice, but I was disappointed to find crumbs on the desk top and a coffee table that didn't look like it had been wiped down too well. The furniture was surprisingly old and kicked around, but everything was comfortable. The bed was very comfortable as usual. I had great service at the front desk - friendly and helpful. Rated 2 out of 5 by Not Up To Westin Levels This hotel was not up to the normal excellence that I find in the Westin Brand. The internet did not work. The television did not work either, the picture would start pixilating and go blank. The Garage entry terminal failed and when I asked a bellman for assistance, he told me to go stand in a long line at the front desk to get some help. August 3, 2012

The physical facility has always been excellent, but sometimes service was "iffy." Something has happened: The Hospitality Factor was significantly increased; the staff was superb. Whatever you did, please do it at the rest of the Starwood properties. June 5, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by It was a bit unusual for the conference I attended The meeting rooms were on the same floor that guests were staying in. These were not our general meeting rooms, but smaller breakout rooms. The staff was attentive to our needs though, but we felt badly for people in rooms next door to us. This hotel seems older and more worn then some others, but it is very clean. The staff is excellent. October 24, 2012
