At the check in/out counter, if you are # 2 in the Gold/Platinum line, the reg line will move much faster. Also for the first time ever I was told they do not offer late check out. Signed up for "Green Room" but was told due to adding an extra day, did not quality for points.
First time ever, not a good experience at a "Starwood" property.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DLA1159 Swan is the place to stay
the swan was renovated in 2009. We were on the Preferred Floor and the room was clean and in good repair. The funishings need replaced, but this is small price to pay for the location and convenience. I disagree with the resort fee charged as most other comparable hotels do not charge this fee anymore. Overall, great experience. The employees go above and beyond to make your stay great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Joy728 Best Disney Hotel
We have stayed at all of the Disney World Resort Hotels - the Swan exceeded our expectations and we had the best time we have ever had at a Disney World resort hotel - you cannot beat the price, the rooms are large, the beds perfection, the transportation excellent, the choice of restaurants perfect and the Grotto pool is not to be missed!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fan419 2 bedroom executive suite
This hotel met our expectations and do not know why anyone would give negative reviews. Our 2 bedroom exec suite was huge. Housekeeping great. Clean room facing Epcot. The boats ran nonstop which were right out the door. You could walk right into Epcot and Hollywood. Great pools. Breakfast buffet in Swan not as good at Fresh in Dolphin which was great for breakfast.

The staff was very friendly and made special arrangements to make our family feel welcome and special. We celebrated a reunion and a birthday and it was wonderfully memorable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Wolf1029 fine location
The Swan location to Epcot and Disney Studios made the commute quite easy by boat. The breakfast buffet had a variety of foods. The conceige printed off our return boarding pass and we were able to buy our park tickets there. The only issue that arose was that when we would return around 3:00 our rooms had not been made/cleaned. Next to that I would recommend this staying here.

I went there with my children and grandchildren. The rooms were not together which I had confirmed twice. We had to wait 2 extra hours. The beds are fantastic and rooms were great. I did not appreciate the extra fee attached to the room if I do not use the ammenities. We were elegible for an upgrade for 2 years now but never get one. The people at the front desk were very nice.

Rated 2 out of 5 by VJNewyork Damp, Musty Rooms
I was staying here at this hotel on a business conference for two days and the room that was assigned to me was absolutely horrible. The room had a damp, musty smell and no amount of adjusting the air conditioning unit would solve the air quality. Finally I called the front desk and asked for a room change to which I was told that there are no rooms available and they will send a technician. The technician arrived shortly and acknowledged the damp smell in the room and offered to replace the air conditioning filter and he did - the problem was still not fixed at which point housekeeping was called in to "spray" my room with air freshener which completely soaked my carpet. Needless to say my two days were spent out of the room as much as possible. Would not recommend this hotel at all to anyone with asthma, allergies etc. since I heard similar complaints from my colleagues staying in other rooms in the hotel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by TreyT Not What We Expected
We had seen these hotels (from the outside) on our various trips to Disney and decided to give a SPG property a try instead of a Disney hotel. We reserved a suite consisting of a king room, two queen rooms, and a connecting den. Our hearts sunk on initial viewing. The rooms are extremely dated. The bathrooms are tiny. Outlets are not convenient. They need to gut the building and re-design the rooms.
On our first night, we called service multiple times to have sheets and blankets delivered for the pull-out couch. They were finally delivered several hours later. Fortunately my teenage son was still awake as it was almost 11 and were already asleep.
The worst problem was the small coffee and pastry shop. There was typically a long line every morning. It is completely unacceptable to wait 20 minutes for a cup of coffee when you are trying to make it too the parks.
Do not stay here. Pay more for a Disney hotel.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Kathy101112 Good, but not Great
We have stayed at the Swan before and really liked it. This trip was a little disappointing. Our toilet overflowed when we flushed it, soaking the floor and carpeting out side of the bathroom. The toilet was fixed, but the carpet remained soaked throughout our stay. Also the room, while in a great location, was pretty worn looking - not what I remembered from our last visit

Rated 4 out of 5 by Marilyn29 This hotel has very personable staff
I absolutely loved the Westin Heavenly Bed wanted to stay in and enjoy the comfort of the bed almost as much as the WDW theme parks. I thought that some better attention could be paid to some housekeeping and equipment issues in the room though. Some decor updates would enhance the guest experience.

My stay was good. We had a problem with the land line which took 3 attempts to get it to work. Nobody could call us or we call them. We were told it would be taken care of right away and I had to follow up and finally one the third time it was taken care. I don't see my 774 credit of points listed. If someone could take care of this I would appreciate it. Thanks again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AGC1 Good amenities and proximity to attractions
Hotel has very good amenities from the pool, fitness facilities and restaurants. The hotel hallways and bathrooms need to be updated. Given the daily rate of the hotel, it would be nice to have a spotless bathroom when checking in.

My wife and I atteded the Illuminations concerts last week and we had a fabulous time. The hotel staff were all freindly, curtious, and most helpful with any question we had. I would not hesitate to recomend this hotel to anyone staying in the Walt Disney area. It is also very convenient to get to each of the parks.

Stayed for three days after Thanksgiving, and was upgraded to a one bedroom suite. Great rooms, with separate living and dining rooms and two queen beds in separate bedroom. Worked out well traveling with my mom. Staff was pleasant, from the bell staff, check-in staff, cleaning staff and at the restaurants. Third time staying at the Swan. Did not use the pool or spa.

Rated 3 out of 5 by nydoc Problems with hotel
When I arrived there was no soap in my room and I waited 1 1/2 hours until 11:30 PM for it to arrive. During that time I tried the internet and found I had no access. I never received internet access. Facilities were spread out and there was poor signage. Food was expensive and the hotel was remote. Unless I was taking kids to the park, would never stay there again.

We had a wonderful time at the Swan. So close to everything and had great amenities. Staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. Beds were so comfortable. The only minor problem we had was at checkout. Our wait was longer than we experienced at other hotels, but staff was apologetic and moved quickly once we were served. We would definitely stay here again!

The Swan turned out to be a wonderful hotel for our Disney vacation. From being greeted so happily at the front desk to dining in the hotel's restaurant, this hotel delivers quality customer service. They also have ferry service to Epcot and Downtown Disney; bus service to other Disney parks - All Day Long!

Rated 4 out of 5 by DanielJ Good hotel with a great location
This hotel is a bit dated but still very clean. The staff was incredible and went above and beyond to make my stay feel special. The location of this hotel is incredible as you can walk to two different parks, take the ferry if you don't feel like walking, and easily reach the boardwalk area as well. This was my second time here but I know that I will be back.

Loved hanging out at the pool and the hammocks. Beautifully manicured! Transportation was slow and took a long time to get from place to place and several times when directed to take a specific type of transportation it was not available. We walked from Epcot to the Swan faster than the ferry. Be prepare to wait in several lines, often! ugh.

This is our second time staying at the Swan in a Grand Suite. It was fabulous. The staff have always been welcoming. The location cant be beat. we enjoyed the beautiful grounds and ability to walk the Boardwalk and into EPCOT. The boats are great as well. Overall a five star experience! Both Last year and This YEar!
THanks very much

Great location! Really nice grounds. But, rooms need renovation, kind of worn looking, old. First room we checked into had a terrible mildew/moldy smell, had to be moved to another room, which was better smelling.

The service and the staff were exceptional. Always had a friendly response and a prompt reaction to any question or request.
As a business traveler, the room was not set up for a comfortable workspace (I couldn't adjust the chair or pull out a extra work table.)
As a guest, the bed was wonderful. I liked that I could go green and not have maid service.

Very comfortable hotel all around. A lot of choices as far as pools, food, and bars.
One of the best features is the ability to use the shuttles to and from all Disney areas.
Love the balcony for early morning coffee in room. Only complaint with this is the abnormal number of crows that circled the balcony. I felt like I was in the movie "The Birds",

A great restaurant from the service to the wine list to the food. Kaitlyn and Christian took care of us throughout each course ending with the limoncello. They handled our young children with great ease making them comfortable. The food was amazing ensuring a return visit.

We are frequent guests at Walt Disney's Swan Hotel and love it every time. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the beds are "heavenly"! We were allowed to upgrade to a balcony room, which was awesome although I do think that particular wing is in need of some refurbishing (i.e. rugs could use replacement). Will be back and hopefully soon!

Rated 2 out of 5 by MDoodle3 Location is only real positive
I was expecting much more from a Westin hotel. The location is ideal and the staff was pleasant but the room was old, damp, and musty. My shoes were damp the next morning and the sheets were too moist to even get comfortable. I always boast about Westins and their heavenly beds but this hotel "dampened" that reputation. I will never stay there again.

We have stayed at the Swan before and this stay was just as lovely as our previous ones. At our request, we had a boardwalk view and were able to see the fireworks from Epcot. We were attending the Food and Wine festival and this location is very convenient. One is able to get there by walking or taking the boat. We will definitely stay there again.
