Rated 3 out of 5 by Most convenient to Indiana Convention Center The Westin is the closest hotel to the Indiana Convention Center which is super convenient. That said, it was warm and muggy in all of the common areas and instead of that pleasant Westin scent, it smelled of bleach. June 30, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Comfortable and Convenient It's right on the edge of an active downtown and connects to the convention center. The Starbucks in the lobby doesn't open until 6:30am. Shula's is inside also. Pricey as expected. Open all day. But, again, not until 6:30. Internet is free in the lobby. Rather expensive in the room June 29, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Hotel stay for work The hotel was average. Staff nice, but not exceptionally attentive, etc. The bathroom was a bit shabby, and the cleaning of the room was average. Would stay there again, but would hope that there would be some improvements. June 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Meeting Site We were at the Westin Indianapolis for a conference. There are plenty of places within walking distance to eat. The workout facility was adequate. The meeting rooms worked great. Most meals that we were served were very good. Connected to above ground tunnels to a lot of the down town area. June 27, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Surprisingly non responsive I had an issue with my room and called the manager. 24 hours later I had not heard back from him. I am still waiting to get my bill, it was not put under my door, nor emailed to me. It is a nice hotel but service is not consistent with other Westin properties. June 27, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by Do not do breakfast at Shula's The Shula's breakfast experience was awful!! It started with a half cup of decaf coffee with a promise of a new pot brewing. Some 20 minutes elapsed with a return of what "might be decaf". Probably another 15 minutes passed and we inquired about our breakfast selection of a smoothie and a granola. The server indicated she would followup on our order after she placed an order for the newcomers. Other guests arrived after us, ate, paid and departed during our wait. We departed as the server offered to do a "to go" situation. We left with nothing but apologies from the Shula's manager and the server. We had been a winner of a silent auction gift certificate which had been donated by Westin to Indiana University Alumni group..It is a shame such a nice gesture by Westin turned into such a fiasco. Rated 2 out of 5 by Not Happy with our stay The hotel while looking very nice, it was too expensive to park, the room was just plain, nothing very nice compared to what you see when you walk in the hotel, there was a spot of blood on the sheets, that we didn't notice until the next morning...and there was a maid cart in the hallway all night, that had a pile of bloody towels beside it, I told the hotel at check out, but they didn't really say anything. I got the room through price line, but it was still a decent amount paid, and the view I got was of roofs of other buildings, guess that's what you get when you don't pay full price. The only thing good was it was connected to the convention center where we were going. June 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great time First time I had been back to the Indianaoplis area. Our Mended Hearts had a conference there and love the hotel. Never expected the upgrade they gave me, it was very nice of them to do so! The room was awesome and the view was great. The staff were awesome in greating me from the time I arrived , to when I left!! Would stay there again when I get back up there. June 24, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by This hotel has many benefits. The hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff is exceptional. I agreed to 'Go Green' for ONE evening of the four evenings we stayed. I had to request clean towels and cleaning each of the two remaining days. The bathroom facet was broken and ignored. Upon arrival, make sure you know exactly what the care of your room will be. Other than these situations, it was acceptable. June 24, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anniversary Celebration The concierge Aleksandar and Sarah Schantz teamed together to make a memorable stay. Nicholas the GM contacted me for special requests. Sarah is I assume one of Nicholas administrative staff. I requested 20 roses in a vase with 4 roses for their petals. I also requested a bottle of champagne. We arrived to our room with a bottle of champagne and congratulatory note. The roses were beautifully displayed in the bedroom and Aleksandar had the rose petals in the shape of a heart on the bed. Nice extra touches and I highly recommend the hotel as the service was exceptional. The day time concierge gave us excellent recommendations for lunch and shopping. Great job! May 21, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by We Love This Hotel We have stayed here many times. Used to use another large hotel. But here, we have always felt like we were "somebody" and not just a dollar maker for the place. They have recently remdeled the rooms and I am most pleased with what they've done. Not too fancy but definitely a long over do improvement. From the front desk to the valet, everyone always had a smile and a friendly vibe that came across with authenticity. My ONLY dislike is that they have moved the Club Level Lounge down to the lobby area. It was so much easier, and more convenient, when it was a floor or two away instead of 6 or 8 floors down. I liked being able to walk down the hall if I was on Club Level Floor. And with the door to the new lounge wide open, it seems anyone could just walk in, whether they paid for the privaledge or not. But still The Westin Indianapolis in definitely one my very favorite places to stay and I'll gladly be back! June 17, 2014

Rated 1 out of 5 by Disappointed My husband and I stayed here while in town for a football game and we had a very poor experience. The beds were uncomfortable and we could hear the elevators going up and down all night long. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep at all! To top it off they charged us 30 dollars a day for parking. The reason we stayed downtown was to park at the hotel and walk to the stadium but it didn't turn out to be such a good deal with the crazy parking prices. I wouldn't go back to this hotel and I wouldn't recommend anyone else stay here either. December 21, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Dissapointing It was warm weather and no matter where we set the room temperature or how long the fan ran, the room temperature never changed. It was too warm to get a good night's sleep. The bathtub/shower drain was apparently plugged, as it was extremely slow to drain. No fan in the bathroom. Called for a change of a sheet and pillow case. Said they would be right up. After about 20 minutes we made a second call and they were promptly delivered. June 15, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Low end of high class hotel This hotel is showing it's age. Bathtub needed new caulking, faucets in tub actually shifted a good inch side to side. I went down to make a complaint about the maid not showing up to clean my room until 5:45 PM. The person at the desk made excuses rather than an apology, saying "they have until 7pm to get the rooms done, and we have over 500 rooms here." They didn't ask my room number to even check into it. I was at a conference all day and didn't want to stand and wait for the maid to clean my room so I could finally relax. Front desk staff very snippy. Not the quality of a Westin I am used to. Rated 4 out of 5 Nickel and Dimed Me Let's get the good stuff out of the way first. The Suite was fantastic. Great view of downtown, lots of space and very clean. The pool area and hot tub was also great. But, I paid $250 for a room as a SPG for my anniversary with my girlfriend. She has my gift sent to the hotel. Instead of delivering it to my room they hold the package and charge me $10 for holding it. Are you serious? For that reason alone I will never stay at another Westin. That's just classless. They were able to get us three connecting rooms so we were able to stay in close proximity to eachother. We had a blast and the staff was so responsive when we asked for various items like sppons, sheets, pillows ect. June 11, 2014
