I come to Ningbo for business & normally stay at the Sheraton. I tried The Westin on this trip for close proximity to supplier & also The Westin is reputable worldwide. The hotel was full of local weekenders, it was noisy & I had to more than once knock on the door of next room to ask them to keep noise down. Breakfast was busy, food not replenished & not enjoyable at all. I would definitely not come back to this hotel again, the Sheraton is located further from where I prefer to be but far more comfortable for business traveller.

It was a badly managed hotel. I went to have breakfast on the 39th club lounge in the morning. There was no one attending me when I arrived. I had to seated myself. I walked all over and I COULD NOT find any single table was ready. Tables were all left over from previous customers. No one was cleanning and setting up the table. I took a video about the experience I had. I will be very happy to share with management team. It surely was not up to Westin standard.

Previous experience with this hotel was very good so I returned for the second time. However it is very disappointing this time.
We booked an executive room, but the pipe clogged at shower, we had to ask for many towels to stop the water came into the bedroom and damage the carpet. We did not want to have people come in to our room to fix it because it was passed midnight and we just wanted to finish shower and go to bed. But next day no one even care to make a phone call asking how we were doing or do we need to get things fixed. When we check out still no one ask how was our stay, it seem to us that no one cares how we feel during our stay, even with this serious problem occured.
We asked for checking out late at 14:00 and confirmed with front desk that it was fine. but at 11:30 housekeeping called and ask when we need the room to be cleaned. lack of communication between front desk and housekeeping.
Its a pity that the service level is this low in this hotel. Although I really like the room especially the bed was very comfortable. But I dont think I would want to go back again.

Nice hotel with a great a great executive lounge and breakfast.
We had a little issue with check-in, but Guest Services Manager Amos quickly solved all of our problems and made sure we were comfortable. He even dropped by in the executive lounge to make sure all of our needs were being met.
Will definitely stay here again when in Ningbo.

my business travels take to Ningbo very often and I always make a point at staying at the Westin ever since it opened a few years ago. The staff knows me by name and they are always very friendly. I always receive an upgrade to the nice corner suites. The staff the Westin Club Lounge always go the extra mile to meet our needs and very friendly (always a smile) . Location is great, rooms are very clean. The live music in the evenings is relaxing as well. Definitely recommend this hotel and their friendly staff !

Excellent service during a recent stay at the Westin Ningbo. I have stayed at a lot of Starwood properties throughout the world, including several in China, but the staff at the Westin Ningbo really make this hotel shine. Everyone from the front door to the restaurant staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful. Above and beyond excellent service especially from the Manager and staff of the Seasons Taste restaurant.

Made another stay at Ningbo this passed weekend, and Westin Ningbo made sure this is a special one. Simon and Jack on the concierge team are amazing in setting up pick-ups and drop-offs at the airport and helping me make restaurant reservations around Ningbo and taxi rides. Carol on the hostess team made me feel very welcomed. Fannie and Dancer make eating at the Chinese Restaurant a joy. Especially Fannie who is excellent in making sure the guest feels at home, and make people feel like they are getting VIP treatment. If anybody in the future are looking to eat at the Chinese Restaurant in Westin Ningbo, make sure to ask for Fannie.
Overall, the location, service, and room comfort make this the top hotel in Ningbo.

Overall very good experience, the hotel is well maintained.
Only thing not satisfying is their room availability time. I checked in at 6pm but only 2 out of 4 rooms are ready. We had to stay in friends' room until after dinner.

The hotel is well maintained, the team member will try their best to accommodate your need or request.
But unfortunately too many mistake, due to communication problem. but every mistake has been taken seriously and solved. and even follow up have been done .the manager of the Chinese restaurant have exceed expectation while trying to solve our issue. Thanks a lot Eric
And we had felt listen and important during our stayed which is very good .

As I've reviewed before I'm a frequent guest of the Westin Ningbo and have received nothing but great services. The front-desk is efficient and friendly. Guest services is prompt. Room is in top shape and clean. Everyone is willing to help, Concierge is friendly. I've tried the Teppan in the Japanese Restaurant and it's delicious. However, I had one minor and two major issues with Westin this time.
Minor issue: I've ordered room service with ice cream and when the food is bought to my room the ice cream is already mostly-melted. Didn't notice it until the person left, it is not a big deal so I didn't complain to the hotel because it has always treated me nicely, but then two more major issues came up later...
Major issues: first, the limited English by the staff picking up the phone. When I'm ready to leave I called Guest Services to ask a bell boy to come up and pick-up my luggage. Someone at Guest Services picked-up, can't understand English, and simply put the phone down, and after waiting for 10-20 seconds another person finally picked up, and I told her what I needed, and she said "sorry, need to transfer you" and then I got transferred, another person picked up, asked for bell boy, and she said, "sorry, this is Lobby Lounge, need to transfer you", and then I got transferred back to Guest Service! Told the person the same request, a bell boy to come to my room to pick up my luggage, got the same "sorry, need to transfer you" back to Lobby lounge! Of course the lady at Lobby Lounge answered again, "this is Lobby Lounge, we don't do that, you need to call Guest Service", really? Fed up, I simply hung up.
Another disappointment is the Westin is starting to "smell" like your typical local 2-star Chinese hotel: people are smoking in the hotel! My room the bathroom smelled like smoke, but I didn't complain since I've been treated good and only the bathroom smelled like that, the bedroom is fine. However, the elevators, people are smoking in them and some of them really had bad cigarette odor such as elevator 4. Then, I've saw a couple of people just flat out smoking in the lobby waiting area.... unbelievable. I really hate the smell of smoke and I needed to stay at establishments that can keep a non-smoking environment, if Westin Ningbo can't do that, I need to find another establishment.

You've got to be kidding me!!! They upgraded me to a smoking suite, which I kindly turn down. I am perfectly fine not being upgraded because I cannot stand smoking room.
Upon entering the room, I smelled smoking smell. And the AC did not work. I asked the customer service if they can kindly turn it on because it was 78 degree in my room. After checking for 10 minutes, she told me sorry that they cannot turn it on. They do not supply AC at this moment.
This is a Westin, right? Why do I feel like I am somewhere else?
The hotel manager on duty did come up to open my window @ 35th floor and brought up a fan. I am very appreciative of that.
I feel bad that I am posting this here, but Westin needs to know turning off the AC is not acceptable. This is a Westin, not a 2 star Chinese hotel.

I have personally stayed at this hotel numerous times during my business trips, and I can say this is by far the best hotel in Ningbo (I have tried Sheraton and other 5-star hotels in Ningbo.) The staff is very friendly, and while English is a challenged for some, but that doesn't stop their attempt to make the best effort to treat you good. Also, the Chinese restaurant serves great Chinese food. The breakfast buffet is limited as it seems to be tailor more to the native-Chinese selections, and the Japanese restaurant is limited too, but across from the hotel TianYi Square has plenty of decent restaurants. Room is always clean and anything else you need you just phone them and they'll send someone to bring it to you promptly, and they follow it up with phone call to make sure you get them in a timely fashion. Over the course of my stay I have made a few friends there and that just made the experience much better. You just have to be a little patient with their English, which I admit, is a problem for some staff. Finally, if I have one beef, the swimming pool is kind of small and if one or two people are in it then it really minimize the enjoyment of swimming...

This hotel was recently completed so the facilities are new and the rooms are great, but what sets them apart is their customer service. I've stayed at this property multiple times and have had a great experience on each occasion. They always go above and beyond to ensure my stay is comfortable and are always willing to help with administrative tasks like arranging cars and mailing items.

Air Con does not get room temp below 26 degrees.. very uncomfortable. Say they working on it but never do.. juts ignore it
Lobby bar: party atmosphere but not from customers from staff.. all seemed drunk, forgot orders, laughing and shouting together... too busy to attend to customers
internet extremely slow; was told many customers using it, Unfortunately when I am trying to work, this type of answer does not help
Duty manager; can not speak English well so no point in complaining

If you need english forget this place. Check in was impossible not any one of 4 could string together a sentence. Girl who showed me to room just looked vacant if you asked her anything.Exec floor i asked for white wine...response glass milk. I am platinum and got no sense and checked out to move to another hotel....even the westin driver got lost taking me to the other hotel a few hundred yards away. this place is a disaster.

Been going to Ningbo for years - staying at HJP - I now have a new 'home' in Ningbo...
This hotel has it all -
1. Central location
2. BRILLIANT team - obviously very well trained, good English, motivated, happy and helpful. From the Driveway, to Front-Desk, F&B and Housekeeping - an absolute pleasure to interact with!!
3, Rooms are new, so no surprises these are great.
4. Ate at Seasonal Tastes (main restaurant/coffee-shop) 3 times - food presentation, quality and taste were OUTSTANDING. And the team was again a highlight.
This is a world-class hotel - from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. Sounds like I'm on their payroll, but I'm just a (fussy) guest... :-)
Only problem is that word will undoubtedly spread fast and their rates will hike... But I'll be back... No matter the rate... ;-)

酒店位置很好，就在天一广场东侧，交通方便；夜里到店时拖着行李进门，无人招呼帮忙；check in时员工有推荐周边美食，很贴心；大堂设计上略显拥挤，更像一过道，且没有闻到威��汀的白茶香氛；客房已升级至高楼层，进房间时已按要求开好夜床，满意；客房部分设施保养不当，有磨损；mini bar的茶包不是JING TEA而是立顿，很失望；酒店的无边泳池是一大亮点

Last time I stayed with them, I'd found terrible service from their front desk. I complained about it with their front desk manager who promised me such thing wouldn't happen again but seemed in vain. Again this time, I found their front desk staff very cold and indifferent, with no smile at all. This time my mum went so angry that she insisted that she talk to their manager on duty that day. We got their apology. But I still want to share with you the experience to really warn them to improve their service standard. Bad experience at front desk dictates a whole bad stay. It's really about time that you trained your team how to deal with people. You should really learn from the staff in Club Lounge who were extremely friendly and hospitable. I wish you would get better before my next stay.
Last but not least, if this comment is again covered by someone that doesn't show up. I'll put as many as one-star comment as I can.
