I would like to share my amazing experience with you.
Last week (June 18 -19, 2013) I visited Madrid with my family for the vacation. I had been planned it since March. In order to give them wonderful time, I selected your hotel from the five-stars hotels in Madrid.
When I arrived at the hotel, I was a little surprised because there is an exterior work at your hotel. If I had known it, I might not have made an reservation, because there are a lot of good hotels in Madrid.
After the check-in, the two rooms(600 & 601) are provided to us, where there were some frames out of the windows. And some worker were walking out of the window. It means that we have to close the curtains all day. I asked the front to change our room. I want to know why they allocated such rooms to us. If they were in the same postion, could they enjoy their vation? After my second request, they changed to the other rooms where there was no barrier out of the windows. At that time, they apologied to us and proposed my sons to provide someting to eat and drink as the token of theri apology. But after that, nothing was provided to them, and it made them very disappointed. So I explained them that the people in this hotel were very busy for making money and don't mind how the guest feel.
When we do the check-out, they asked us about our stay at their hotel. So I explained them what happend to us. They apologied to us again. I think it is a very useful phrase for them. Using it, they may settle any issues and forget.
During my stay, I learn one thing. When I select a hotel, I never use your group hotel not to feel uncomfortable. I really appreciate that you teach it to me.

The Westin Madrid exceeded al of our expectations. The hotel is beautiful and our Suite was magnificent. The staff from the front desk to Aurelia at the concierge were always cheerful and helpful. We were there for our anniversary, and the Manager sent up two bottles of champaigne which was very thoughtful. Lastly the location of the hotel was perfect. We wouldn't change a thing.

The Spanish lower house of the parliament is 100 meters away, the Museum Thyssen-Bornemisza is right in front of the hotel, while the Prado is few hundred meters away. Practically all the main touristic attractions in Madrid are at a walking distance. This facility just could not be in a better position to visit the city. The building is just fabulous, inside and outside.
I was granted with a full platinum recognition: junior suite (luxurious and as big as a flat), complimentary breakfast - not limited to the continental one, and of incredibly good quality - and Wi-Fi.
Staff was incredibly responsive and supportive, since the welcome email I received when I booked the room, with all the information on the best tapas bars & restaurants, and the best places for flamenco shows or jazz concerts.
In order to spend a long week-end in Madrid my choice could not be any better!

I stayed at the Palace Hotel for one night last week (February 23rd) and wished I could have extended my stay based on the quality of the hotel. It is an old historic hotel that has been beautifully restored with a fantastic location across from the Bornemisza and Prado museums. Easy walk to the Gran Via and exceptional tapas bars. I would definitely recommend opting for the breakfast (over Starpoints) which is served in the lobby restaurant underneath a glass cupola – great quality of food and service. I really appreciated the Starwood Platinum recognition as well – upon arrival in my room I received two bottles of mineral water, three chocolate truffles, a souvenir, and a hand written note from the General manager. I will return!
