Pillows are all soft; need to switch two of the four out with firmer pillows. love the leaf shaped soap.

Apparently every weekend they have conventions and reunions and tons of stuff going on. Now, as a group they seemed to have fun but I was in town for another reason.
I had to pay to park despite reservations and I went out to the aquarium with my son. When we got back, they said parking was full and I needed to park down the street at some restaurant. Excuse me? I had a baby with a poppy diaper and they wanted me to walk over a mile in the dark with him as a female by myself. I HAD ALREADY PAID FOR PARKING!!!! Some people were only visiting the hotel for the night then leaving, not even guests, but they parked inside. They didn't care about me at all. Only after I raised h e l l did they 'let' me in....and there were at least 8 spots open that I saw.
Remember the infant I had with me? Well the hotel didn't when they called at 6:21 for a wakeup call I never asked for. My son of course woke up and screamed because it abounded like a foghorn and he was asleep. When I asked why they called when I had not ordered one, they said I had two nights ago. Fun fact, I only stayed one night (previous night) at the hotel. I was livid. It's just not worth it... hotel was clean but go somewhere else

make sure your room is far from the elevators and on a higher floor as the conference rooms are loud

Stayed here twice within two weeks. First time was perfect. Second visit was a bit odd: checked in and was put onto Starwood floor, but no free bottle of water in room when there had been one ten days earlier (so I had expectations and hadn't brought water with me). When I went down to front desk and asked, I was offered a couple of bottles of water from the store...to be charged to my account. I was asked if that was ok, and I said no, why should I have to buy water,,,wasn't that an amenity that the hotel provided to a Gold Member? It took the clerk talking to two different people to determine that indeed that they do provide a bottle of water to gold status guests. Then in the morning, no newspaper at my door. When I asked about it at checkout, I was advised that they have newspapers in the lobby and they only bring them to the door if specifically requested. As this is different from most Westin/Starwood facilities, I was surprised and worse...had not had a newspaper to read while I had my coffee in the room.
Otherwise, everyone very nice and pleasant just wish they let us know about the no delivery on newspapers and wonder why there was no water and why it was so difficult to get a bottle...
