Rated 3 out of 5 by Unhappy714 Did not get the room reserved, nor both breakfasts passes
I reserved an Executive King and was told none were available upon arrival at 4pm. I was given the option to wait (with no estimated time, just unknown) or take another room with 2 Queens. Due to the fact I was scheduled for a corporate dinner at 5pm, I could not afford to wait and relunctantly took the 2 Queens. My reservation also included breakfast for 2 but I only received a coupon 1.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Trophywife85 This hotel has the best location in Houston. Period.
Stayed @ the Westin Oaks for the entire Black Friday wkend. Living inside of a mall! Wonderful shopping and eating options. Open balcony. Conveniently located on the end of a wing inside of the mall, so there is no people traffic getting to and from your room for quick runs within the Galleria. I chose paid parking directly across from our room because we never left the mall. If you aren't going to remain at the mall, then best opts would be valet or free parking garage.

Rated 4 out of 5 by AFGUY Good, but be warned!!
Hotel was clean and everyone was friendly and helpful. If I based a review solely on the hotel itself I would rate it a star or two higher, but there is one major problem, parking.
This hotel has no designated parking and you are forced to park in areas used by the mall and it can take a VERY long time to find a spot and it is still a trek from the hotel.
On my next trip I may try the extended stay hotel across the street that has parking even if the hotel is not as nice. This was a major headache for my entire stay.

I have been staying weekly in this hotel. Last week they lost my overnight bag that I had left with the concierge and they have NOT yet compensated me for their error. Unacceptable. As a platinum guest and weekly resident of the hotel, I am embarrassed by how this hotel has mismanaged this situation, and how their lack of owning their mistake taints the starwood brand. I would not reccomend this property seeing how this is how they handle situations where they are at fault, and how they treat weekly platinum guests. Its absolutely unacceptable, disgraceful to the brand, and downright unbelievable. I expected higher quality from a starwood hotel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by suelee50 Wonderful Experience
The room was very nice, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the offer of $5.00 gift card for "green" incentive was a great touch.
Staff was awesome and willing to help - always did so with respect and a smile.
The whole experience including check-in and check-out was pleasurable.
Only suggestion is a ramp to the parking garage: hard to carry suitcases up or down the stairs and they are not handicap accessable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Pohladaw Falling short of competition in Galleria
I stay in the Galleria area every week. Three things that I expect to have at the rate I pay that I get at other competing hotels that I don't get when I stay here are 1. A concierge lounge for platinum guests or at least a coffee station in the lobby. 2. Internet service that works. It is rarely able to even load a google page. Peak times make it difficult to get to any page. 3. A functioning fitness center. The workout facility is much too small for the size of hotel. Machines are usually taken and some are broken (errors in treadmills that don't recognize user on belt and touch screens that don't work).

Hotel staff are very responsive. However, valet parking and bell hops are two separate functions and neither team helps the other. Just kind of odd set up. Could use more bell hops.
