I enjoyed a lot during my stay at Westin! The comfortness in the hotel room is unbeatable. I like the shower & the greening interior/ skincare products in the toilet. It's great!

The lounge for platinum members is very poor and the service is not good.
The hotel needs improvement to keep the brand image.

Although stay at the executive floor, but the room is dated and all features are old. The facilities are very OLD. Staffs are inattentive, poor service qualities.

Was disappointed when arrived late in the night just to realised that the desired non-smoking room with King Size bed that was confirmed through SPG reservation was not reserved.
Instead was given a room with 2 Super Single beds in a supposedly non-smoking floor. However, throughout the 2 nights stay, there was the smell of cigarette smoke in the air probably from other guest smoking in the their rooms.
I would expect that a confirmed prepaid booking through the SPG website would mean that the hotel would have reserved the type of room that was booked as even when there is a no show, the rate will be charged to my credit card. Such a incident showed that the hotel does put the guest needs upfront and it brings no meaning to the SPG membership.

One key aspect for international travellers is accessing the world. In China, this is an occasional issue: Internet access.
The speed/bandwidth in Westin Financial can certainly be improved. But more importantly, is the availability of smooth/unobstructed access to external (outside China) servers/services. My company has outsourced email to Google and I had major difficulty access Google Business App servers during my stay. This is hotel specific issue as I had been able to obtain unobstructed access in other Starwood and other International hotels in Beijing so Westin Financial Street provide similar accessibility.

I don't remember how many times that I get back to this hotel since it opening. I guess this is the 6th or may be the 7th stay in there. Like most of other starwood hotels, the facitility, which I would like to call it "hardware", is always good, such like, location, appearance, cleaness, comfortness etc. But, what special of this Westin is "software", which I mean the service and attitude. Every hotel staff, no matter bell captain, front desk, housing keeping, etc., doesn't matter manager or regular staff, that I met during my past stays is always has warm and good altitude. They are so nice to take care every detail. I feel like the hotel is my "home in Beijing". Resturant provide excellent food, and service. It is an excellent hotel that I would like to highly recommended to everyone.

I don't think think the staff even cared about my Platinum status when I checked in. I did not get an upgrade, but he did say if the hotel was full. He did not ask if I wanted to check in at the lounge, or what my preference was in terms of welcome gift.
After my swim in the morning, my room card did not work in 2 elevator so I had to go down to the lobby in my bath robe. Instead of just accompanying me up to my room, I was told by lobby staff to go to the front desk to get interrogated before obtaining another room card.
At breakfast in the lounge, service was rather slow to get a order of eggs.

i don't know why but when we went to bed, we just melted into it and slept like logs. the room was incredibly quiet and comfortable. platinum recognition and benefits were excellent. we were given a Renewal Room which was very spacious. the bathroom was very large with a large walk-in shower/bath combination. the walk in closet was great as well.
the lounge at this hotel was one of the best i've experienced at any starwood hotel. the staff spoiled us rotten. the food selection at breakfast and dinner was excellent and varied.
being only 2 blocks south of the fuchengmen station on the No. 2 subway line, it was easy to get around. I would definitely go back to this hotel next time i'm in Beijing.

the egg chef had a permanent expressionless face close to angry look.he stand in for the noodle station n cook a bowl of lousy noodle reluctantly,another day i asked for three min. egg,he said can be done, ten min later ,i asked for it ,he just looked at me,another ten min. later i walk toward him but saw no expression from him .the egg never arrived that day..the waitress asked me to leave because they have buffet lunch,,it was not even 11 clock I ask for cup of tea but was told no more, I insisted later on ,and the tea was just at the near by station within her easy reach

I would like to say thank you to the staff that make my last stay like going back home.
Eric helped to prepare all check in stuffs well before my arrival and I can check in within 1 minutes and can be in the room right away. Efficient and caring.
Darcy make my breakfast time brillant. All food were prepared as my usual requirement. You just think that you are at home and are well looked after. Many thanks to Darcy.
Westin Financial Street is my favourite in Beijing. The staff are making their effort to get me a feeling of returning home.

We arrived at the hotel early (around 12), 3 hours before the normal checkin time. And the room was ready and we were given a fantastic 2-bed suite. Perfect for our family of 4 with 2 boys.
Everything we need from a hotel room is there, and to be specific, we had what we didn't expect as well. A full-functioning Massage chair; a small traditional Chinese tea serving set.... Absolutely marvellous!
We had snack in the restaurant and the Lounge, the service and professionaliam from the staff are top-notch.
We swam in the pool with our two boys and there is a good sized pool for young children next to the main pool.
It was a rather short stay and we definately will come back for longer!
One tiny point for improvement, no fresh squeezed juice left when we were having breakfast and we got there about 9.

Having flown all night we were interested in having some dinner at the hotel because of the convenience. The Jewel restaurant is their high end one...boy is it expensive! We ordered some sweet and sour soup with a vegetable appetizer and a tofu appetizer. My husband hand the shrimp dinner with fried rice. We had some a small bottle of Chinese hot wine for the four of us and the bill was over $175.00!
Plus the lighting is dim so reading the small print menu with grey writing is very difficult to see.
It was all very tasty, but very overpriced!

It was me and my wife's first time staying at the Westin Beijing Financial and we where very glad that the experience surpassed our expectations.
The hotel facilities like the loby lounge, room and pool where where nice and comfortable, and we certainly enjoyed the spectacular view of Beijing's Financial Center from the Executive Lounge.
The most enjoyable part was the attentiveness of the staff through our stay. From having my wife's (which is 7 month pregnant) favorite comfort food laid out in the room upon our arrival, to the friendly attitude of the executive lounge staff who made their best to make sure we where comfortable and had a great experience.
Coming from very seasoned travelers, this is certainly one of the best hotels to stay in Beijing.

This is very nice business hotel. Conveniently located to financial district, modern, clean facility, decent food. The only negative is the extremely slow wifi which borders on the unusable. For a business hotel, that is unacceptable.

The hotel is located in the heart of Beijing Finance Street with easy access to shopping mall and a variety of restaurants.
If the hotel can install air filters to provide cleaner air to the guests within the building given the air pollution problem in Beijing, it will definitely attract more guests and be great value.

First the good things. The staff were delightful and very helpful. My room ws big and comfortable. Buffet breakfast had a wide choice, and the chef cooked eggs freshly for you if you wanted.
But I had 4 reservations:
1) The pool area and changing room were very disappointing: they need renewal.
2) I had to ask for turn down service every night.
3)The walls of the room were thin, and I heard every noise next door.
4) I was surprised that guests are not automatically given a daily newspaper.

I always enjoy my stay in Westin, especially the one in Beijing financial street.
Their staffs are so friendly and very helpful.
You can always see smiles on their faces, which are really making my whole stay as comfortable as home.
I would like to thank the front desk staffs, great service, as a gold card member, they can always recognise me and really take care of all my needs. They are very efficient when I check in. Look forward to my next stay soon.

In addition to the usual comfort and professional service provided. The shining example was the airport pickup at Beijing's airport, the person was waiting for us when we came out of the aircraft door. He assisted us thru immigration, baggage and straight thru customs and into the car. Once we reached the hotel, the reception was waiting at the door of the hotel and hurried the check-in service. SPG membership's at its best.

It is a confusing experience on reservation as we planned to have an extended stay in Westin until end Jul 2013 with possible further extension. But there would be a short return to home town in Hong Kong every 2-3 weekend. The rate should be fixed during the stay but the staff mentioned that the rate should be changing according to the market situation upon second check-in on 20 May 2013. It is still negotiating.....

I have had the great pleasure of satying at Westin Beijing Financial Street after a very tiring and long travel experience. Westin staff greeted me with the nicest and warmest smile I needed even before entering the hotel door in the middle of the night. i was travelling from India and i think there might be other Indians coming down to this hotel. i am pure Vegetarian and cant eat even eggs. there might many others like me. i could not find any item in the menu card that i can have. i think there is a scope here to introduce few pure veg indian food items made available to guests on demand.

We arrived the breakfast place at around 9am on a day during our stay only to find little food/drinks left in the bowls. We were told that we could not have what we were looking for (soybean milk, vegi, etc) just because we were later than the tour groups. It is imaginable, but not quite understandable. The service was otherwise good.
