Rated 5 out of 5 by best bed ever The entire experience was great.. Our safe mafunctioned and was removed and opened up to get our belongings in a timely manner.. Was offered dinner on the house but we had convention responsibilites so couldnt use it. Thanks for the offer though. June 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good choice for airport accomodations The Westin SFO is a good choice at the airport. I almost always stay here when I need an airport hotel. Large rooms, good gym and pool, all the expected amenities. The staff makes the place - very gracious and friendly. As a Platinum you are treated very well - room upgrade and breakfast. This hotel is closer to the airport than some of the other choices, so the shuttle is a fast trip to the terminal. Had a problem with the heater in my room and maintenance was there quickly to address the issue. June 12, 2012

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice hotel; HORRIBLE shuttle driver I would return to this hotel again if it were not for the rude attitude of the shuttle driver, John Guo. He drove us both from the airport and on the return. We had arrived from a long flight from Japan and had many suitcases. He simply stood at the top of the stairs of the shuttle and expected us to haul them up. On the return trip to the airport, he stepped out of the bus and didn't lift a finger to help us, though he did assist one other passenger with one bag. It is not that we would not have tipped him for help; we did tip the bellboys who helped us on arrival to the hotel. But Mr. Guo's lack of interest in helping customers was appalling. He should be fired. On a more positive note, the other staff at the hotel, especially at the restaurant, were quite nice and accommodating. The host at the restaurant happily agreed to take our carryout order and personally brought the food to the pool (after we'd asked if that was possible). The food was excellent, and the pool and surrounding deck area quite large compared to hotels of more recent construction. Our room was nice as well, though the bathroom was a bit small. As a Gold member I asked at check-in if we might have a room with a view of the airport/bay; we did receive one, though it was more facing the parking lot. There was no noise from the airport; the windows seem well-insulated. Overall I might return to the hotel if I didn't have a lot of luggage, but would go elsewhere if I needed assistance on that score. Also the restaurant has no windows, so while at night it's ok, in the morning it isn't particularly attractive. Other hotels in the area have better views on the bay. July 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Family Gathering I booked four rooms for my family and our relatives booked a bunch more for a wedding taking place nearby. The staff could not have been nicer, more helpful or accommodating. Rosary at the front desk and Juan at the concierge disk made us all feel like family for the four days we were there. There were many more that I should list too. No noise at all from the nearby airport. Shuttle was very easy and frequent for those who used it. June 23, 2014

However this time when I checked in, the person at the desk ran off to put something away and when he came back appeared hurried. He did thank me for being a Platinum member, however neglected to ask a couple of key questions: "would you be interested in making a green choice" and "would you like your bill emailed to you"? On Wednesday, I had to call back to the hotel and ask to have my bill emailed to me. August 4, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION I have stayed at this hotel many many times over the years. It is great when your business picks up the tab, but out of your own pocket, it gets quite pricey and then they add a huge parking fee on top. There are excellent other hotels in the area that I have used, but I prefer this one, when I can get a reasonable price, because of the location -- easy access to just about anything and everything, if you have a car. It is not an easy walk to anything. August 9, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Chose Westin for I had 6:30am flight. There were many hotels available. I chose Westin over many other lower priced hotels expecting little more expectation than other hotel chains. Turned out "phones in the room does not work" "no wake-up call available" "45 min to airport from by shuttle due to stopping 3 other hotels. It takes 20min from my apartment in Manhattan to LaGuardia airport. Probably those under $100 rooms had at least working phone in the room. February 10, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Hotel We had a great weekend stay at this hotel. Airport shuttles very timely and easy to find. We came back late our first day and were concerned the restaurant would be closed since it was near 10pm. We were seated without hesitation and the food was great, and the service excellent. The wine list was excellent like you would expect to see in San Francisco. Overall a great stay and will definitely return. July 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by My stay was fantastic! I was expecting just an above average room but all of their accommodations were top tier! The bed was like sleeping on a cloud, the shower had a huge rainhead w/ handshower and luxurious towels. And for breakfast in the restaurant downstairs I asked for a croissant and it happened to be freshly baked from scratch and I even got a free refill on my delicious beet/apple juice. Rated 1 out of 5 by Figure out wifi, it's 2013 Poor front desk service, lousy restaurant with inattentive service, but worst: bugs with wifi, spending time on the phone with "tech support". That's like having to call tech support to get running water. And they charge for it! Come on Westin, figure it out. No wonder this was the only hotel with available rooms in the entire Bay Area going into pride weekend. Do not stay here, ever! June 27, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worse stay ever for price Room as far as sleeping only was ok. I never been in such an expensive hotel with no fan in the bathroom, no fridg for left over food, no microwave, no ice bucket or location for ice, no vending machines. I have never experienced such rude service in a gift shop either. The quality of the food in the restaurant was very poor. In the future for Seminars I will choose else where. June 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for business travel This hotel is conveniently located near SFO. A great feature is the beautiful running trail with access just across the street. I woke up and was on the trail before 6 am PT both days and felt safe. Beds are a little hard - surprised given it appears there may have been recent renovations. June 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Uber Convenient Located minutes from SFO, with easy shuttle service. Hotel is clean and staff is friendly and attentive. Indoor heated pool is great when it is cool (foggy) outside, workout is available as well. Breakfast buffet serves all the basics for a quick and convenient morning meal. 20-25 minutes to the City and 30-40 to Silicon Valley so a nice quiet happy medium. December 1, 2011

The room was old and tired with torn carpet, dirty wallpaper and worn out pillows and mattresses. Definately not a "heavenly bed" experience. Upon check out, the concierge did not ask about my stay - and seemed put off when I asked for a paper copy of my billing receipt. March 27, 2013

Our 2 yr old son LOVED watching the planes come & go from the window of our room----but we were never hassled with any of the noise! The sound proof glass was perfect! Only drawback was that the indoor pool, for nice as it was, was freezing cold, the heater was broken. August 31, 2012

I didn't need to shop around for other hotels because I knew I could count on the Westin brand and this hotel lived up to my expectations. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Rated 1 out of 5 by Westin San Fran Airport Worst Westin I have ever stayed at. Hotel should not even bear Westin name. Needs a massive reno or better yet - should be torn down. It is more like a seedy motel than a hotel. Outdated, not very clean. Way too expensive for what you get. Just overall, not a good feel. Very disappointed October 10, 2013

Rated 1 out of 5 by Most Pedesrian Westin I've Stayed In Just an ordinary hotel. Nothing noteworthy. As usual, as a long standing SPG Gold Member, no room upgrade offered even though suites were available as I called reservations prior to checking in. As always, they lie and say none are available. I've been a Gold member since SPG offered their program. And with hundreds of nights in stays, I've only had 3 hotels offer me a room upgrade. The membership is truly meaningless where room upgrades are concerned unless you are Platinum where they are supposedly required to provide an upgrade. I was surprised that they would still have the double headed showers, especially in "environmentally pro active" California. I'm slways amazed at how inconsiderate other hotel guests are at allowing their doors to slam shut at all hours of the night and early morning hours. Hotel could resolve this by putting up reminder signs and silent shutting doors; they exist. Pool and jacuzzi was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful when asked upon. Restaurant staff also very pleasant. January 27, 2013

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent hotel We stayed here b/c of its proximity to SFO. The room was very comfortable and a nice size. We ate at the pub restaurant and enjoyed our simple meal of a flatbread pizza. Shuttle service to SFO was easy and on time. July 13, 2013
