Rated 5 out of 5 by A world of difference... I have no idea who(all) made the critical changes but they were miracle workers. A few years ago I got trapped in the Westin Peachtree during "freaknik" which virtually brought downtown to a stand-still. In fact, there are still numerous apparel and mdse. mart showrooms empty and vacant because of the disastrous financial impact caused by a few hundred wild idiots and an incompetent city government. And the Westin was also part of the chaos. The elevators would leave you waiting for ten minutes at a time, the rooms were often uncleaned, valet parking would steal anything of concealable value left in cars and the desk staff didn't seem to care-- even to the point of telling you so. Well, FF> to 2014: what a difference! The Westin Peach is an absolute pleasure. Polite, competent staff, squeaky clean rooms, prompt elevator response time, a great Starbucks in the Lobby, and I wasn't missing a thing in my car when I checked out of valet parking. If you, too, we're a victim of a past, terrible stay, give the new management a try when you're in downtown Atlanta. I think you'll be delightfully surprised. August 10, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Too much noise on my floor The hotel is beautiful and the staff very attentive but the particular night I stayed there was way to much noise to get a good night sleep. My room was across from the ice machine as well as a door for the service workers. All night I heard the service workers come in and out the door making it impossible for a light sleeper like myself to get any rest. August 4, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect location when visiting Atlanta This hotel was first class all the way. The staff was curious and extremely helpful. The food and service at the SunDial Restaurant was fantastic (not to mention the great views). The location is perfect when visiting Atlanta. Centrally located to everything. The only thing since our lunch was from 12 - 2 that the food be left out a little longer/ We were in a meeting that lasted a little longer than expected and they were taking up food before we were able to get lunch (which we paid for). Rated 5 out of 5 by Great location. There seemed to be some confusion with the going green program. I did sign up for it but housekeeping did complete cleaning three of the four days of my stay. Cashing in the credits was also somewhat confusing, very limited. Great location with easy access to all levels of dining. August 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Top flight Atlanta stay The staff at the Westin Peachtree Atlanta were awesome and incredible. The front desk staff, April and the others were all extremely kind and accomodating. The view from my room was like the Atlanta postcards with a beautiful view of the city. The gym was well equipped, up to date and clean. I enjoyed a wonderful stay. August 4, 2014

The staff of the hotel are excellent, however, this time we were not able to be seated at the sun-dial without a reservation. August 6, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Exceptional staff I had a medical episode while checking in. The front staff was kind and responsive and security person accompanied the bellman to my room. As the afternoon went into the evening it was clear I was not "normal". The evening security supervisor was awesome...even walking me to the pharmacy and letting staff know to give special attention if they heard from me. Unfortunately I had to cut my stay short, leaving the next morning. July 27, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by ICRS Conference When I checked in I was given a card to open my door, when I got to my room it would not work. I found someone from housekeeping and they called to have someone come to open my room. After a 15 minute wait i decided that no one was really coming so I went back down to the main desk and got new keys. I then went to make a reservation at the Sundail restuarant for that evening, when i came back for dinner the man had made it for the next night and the young woman at the desk was not very sympathetic and told me that the restaurant was full and I would have to wait for a open table, I went up the elevator and was seated immediately in a restaurant that was 50% empty. Overall your staff is rude and not at all customer friendly June 25, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by There but not....THERE When you first arrive at the Westin Peachtree Plaza, Atlanta you are in awe. This is one of the tallest buildings in the downtown Atlanta area and is stunning! The front desk staff are like any other SPG hotel, friendly and helpful, always greeting you with a smile. The rooms are clean and comfortable. During my most recent stay, during my second night I went to get out of the bed and when I put my feet on the ground, they were immediately soaked due to a malfunction with the air conditioning unit. I called down to the front desk and within 3 minutes an engineer was in my room and inspecting the unit. He told me that I would need to move rooms and the next thing I know, there are staff members moving my belongings to another room for me. Good service...it was a pain that I had to change rooms but the hotel handled it expertly! The following night, a coworker and I decided to dine at the Sundial restaurant at the top of the hotel. This was one of the worst dining experience I have ever had. We were seated immediately by a hosting staff that looked as if they had better things to do than tend do customers. Not a single staff member smiled at us or welcomed us to their ultra luxurious fine dining establishment, rather they told us that we each needed to each order a dish that was a minimum $30 in value in order to dine. We were then seated at a table with a spectacular view of the city and since the restaurant rotates, we were treated with a panorama of the entire city. Once we were seated, one of the wait staff greeted us and poured us water. After another 15 minutes (no exaggeration) we were finally greeted by our server who took our drink orders and walked away without asking if we wanted to order appetizers. The waiter brought back half of the drink order and then pointed out that he forgot the other half and went and got it. When we were deciding on what to order our server was less than helpful and very disengaged. This was not the type of experience you expect from an establishment whose average price of meal is $40. I typically wouldn't mention that this restaurant is affiliated with the hotel but as every employee at the restaurant is wearing a Westin lapel pin, it is clear that they are in fact affiliated. The good part is that if you stay at the Westin, you will definitely get the service and comfort you know and love August 15, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent. Another Starwood Hotel exceeds my expectations. Though it was difficult getting inside with alot of valet traffic, I was greeted by a warm face and ended up getting mentioned as a Platinum member and being put it in a great room for a low rate. The room itself was remarkable, comfortable beds and awesome showers. The view from my room was fantastic and I wanted to stay another night! It did take awhile to get "on the list" to go up to the skybar just to grab a nightcap though. All in all, very impressed and great location, great service and great value! June 23, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Has Potential but Needs Better Communication Nice location and large facilities, but this hotel needs better communication amongst staff to be at the level of service I have come to expect from SPG hotels. Check in for SPG guests was 3x slower than non SPG guests and the housekeeping staff did not communicate with the front desk about when rooms would be ready. Need some training here. Also my room was not serviced until 430 pm and I had to ask for complementary bottles of water. The air conditioning in the rooms also needs to be adjusted so that guests dont have to choose from being hot to freezing. June 21, 2014

All of my interactions with staff members have been so positive and the various ways in which they recognize my SPG status always makes me feel special and valued. This, along with the convenience of the hotel, have made the Westin Peachtree my "go to" hotel in Atlanta. July 28, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Needs Work Overall, I would say your hotel was an enjoyable experience. The support for the conference I attended was excellent. What I found lacking was the general room service. The daily cleaning left much to be desired. In the exterior hallway, I noted the same piece of paper on the floor for three days. One last note involves the layout of the room. I must say that if one was a large person, they may not be able to get into the bathroom. That had to be the narrowest bathroom door entrance I have experienced. Regardless, I enjoyed my stay and would return. June 24, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Hotel was confortable and great location when visitng ATL i was not pleased with the room service it took 2.5 hrs to receive mt food and when i dd get service the order was wrong. I do not eat meat and order a salad, the salad came with chicken on it. Took so long I was to frustrated and tired to complain. upon check out the front desk did nothing to satisfy my desire to see someone held accountable for this blunder. Great hotel and clean. Rated 4 out of 5 by Fix the elevator service! Unfortunately the elevator serrvice was frankly terrible. I understand that a full capacity house overtaxes the system, but even before that developed, I thought riding the elevators was a problem. The fact that on the lower floors there were no lights to indicate which elevator was arriving. Then the doors shut too quickly before giving riders a reasonable chance to safely enter. I am surprised you have not been sued over an injury yet. July 21, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by My birthday stay at the Westin Peachtree Plaza I live in Atlanta but, for my birthday I decided to book a room at the Westin Peachtree Plaza. The young lady who checked me in, Brittany, was the best example of customer service I have ever witnessed at any hotel...ever! The Westin's Dream beds are dreamy. The view of downtown Atlanta is beautiful at night. The only negative was the parking. When I attempted to check-in there was no parking available...none! July 21, 2014

For a very large hotel the check in process moves smoothly and the elevators are very efficient. The front desk staff is always eager to assist - thanks George for finding us a bottle opener. Rated 4 out of 5 by Housekeeping Overall the hotel is very good. We were disappointed in the housekeeping staff. We did not have enough towels, toilet tissue,lotion and a bath mat. One day we were completely out of these items including toilet tissue. We called and two hours later had to call again and at 11:00 pm we received what we needed. After that service was fine but still the floor was not clean and bathroom counter was dirty. We have never had issues like this before and hope we don't again. July 14, 2014
