Rated 5 out of 5 by ChrisfromVA Great Hotel, Great Location
I stayed here recently with my family. Outstanding location where you can walk to all the major tourist sites. Staff had great recommendations for dinner and "pub crawl" with the younger set. Very quiet rooms, even overlooking the busy street. Also and very nice cozy bar in the basement.

Our stay was enjoyable and the staff is to be commended, as they upheld Starwood courtesy and friendliness. However, we had a very unpleasant aspect in that our room periodically took on an odor as if rancid meat were being held in front of the A/C unit. We first noticed it on our second morning in the hotel. We alerted the staff that the odor came and went, but was nearly unbearable when it was present. I did ask the staff to not bother with relocating us as we were only there one more night, but this is an issue that needs to be addressed, if it has not been already. We were in room 312.
All in I would have preferred to not spend 12K points per night with the room condition, but bed comfort, basic amenities, and location are certainly as advertised.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kathy14 Night of Comfort
This was where we stayed on our last night in Ireland before returning back to the States. We were totally exhausted after our tour and were able to relax before our flights.
The room lived up to all our expectations for Preferred Guests including separate shower and tub areas, big towels, comfortable bedding and bathrobes.
The concierge and front desk staff were helpful with directions to a pub for lunch, our visit to Trinity College and shopping in the area. They also pre-arranged our taxi for an early morning flight.

When we visit Dublin each year we know that when we stay at the Westin we will be treated like Royalty. That did not disappoint us again this year. Clean and comfortable rooms await you. In the heart of shopping and the business district. The only downfall is that they do not have 2 double beds in a room. When we come with our son, we have to stay at a different hotel to accommodate all 3 of us. I only wish that this could change for next year's visit! Also, internet should be included in the price of the hotel room.

Our stay at the downtown Westin was fantastic. We were treated exceptionally well and the staff went far and above our expectations. Especially Sam who helped us when our camera was broken he helped trouble shoot and Georges (spelling? who helped secure us an awesome room overlooking the city. We felt at home immediately upon entering the hotel and regretted considerably having to depart when our stay was completed. One of the best hotel experiences my wife and I have ever been treated to. Thank you Dublin Westin!

My husband and I stayed in the Westin Dublin Sunday night, we had tickets for the Lion King show so decided to make a night of it. I'm 5 months pregnant and was so looking forward to a relaxing night, and we weren't disappointed, from the moment we arrived it was perfect. Staff were vert attentive and polite, we ate out that night but the breakfast in the 'exchange' resturant was delicious. We upgraded to a delux and the room was beautiful, we had the most relaxing nights sleep and we will definitely be back again

Rated 5 out of 5 by RTCmmcc Christmas Visit
We spent our final day/night in Dublin pre Christmas at The Westin. The festive feeling was certainly alive and well and we immediately felt a warm, tasteful Christmas atmosphere upon arrival.
Reception staff were fantastic, and Karl and The Mint team (not to mention drinks and food) were amazing. We ate in the Exchange and the service and staff were again, flawless.
I would most definitely recommend The Westin Dublin to a friend or colleague, either for corporate or personal usage. A must visit you might say!

The main thing that let this hotel down was the bar downstairs, the service was awful, we were basically ignored and left standing there. Staff didnt look your way until they were ready to serve you, we finally got one drink but when we went up again it was same routine, left standing there for ages until we just left the hotel and got a drink in temple bar.
Breakfast was lovely, cant fault the food, just go elsewhere for a drink.
Room was a little on the small side but clean and the bed was really comfortable

The Westin Dublin affords its guests all the comforts of home with the luxuries of a superior hotel and memorable staff. From the ladies in Reception, the two young gentlemen of the Concierge staff, Caesar in the beautiful Atrium, and all the waitstaff in The Exchange (particularly Emanuella and manager, Mr. Bombang [sp?]), and also the personnel in The Mint Bar - all were gracious and cordial and contributed to our exceptionally pleasant week's stay at this memorable hotel which we hope to visit again.

The Westin is perfectly located for anything you may want to do in Dublin. A block from Trinity College and the Temple Bar area. The hotel itself is outstanding. Beautifully decorated and immaculate. We had a junior suite which was spacious and extremely comfortable. Beautiful bathroom with expected amenities. Staff are very attentive and prompt. This is a lovely, old world style hotel that is just impeccable. I would definitely highly recommend this hotel, and would certainly stay again. Loved it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by BillN Excellent location, solid choice, very few defects
An architecturally dignified hotel in what is likely Dublin’s best location. Although I benefited from no platinum upgrades on either of two recent stays, my booked rooms were quite comfortable and tasteful if not spectacular. A deluxe bedroom had an engaging view of Trinity College and adjacent Dublin, but for my second stay I had a rather dark queen sized room that looked out on a dominating charmless steel and glass office building just across a narrow side street, with little sense of “place.” It was nonetheless adequate for the solo traveler, and both accommodations were nicely quiet despite the lively neighborhood. The platinum breakfast amenity was generous, and omitted only some hot items which were available at a modest surcharge. Regrettably the main restaurant was closed during both my stays, apparently the result of street construction which allegedly diminished the appeal of the dining room to would-be diners. A pleasant atrium lounge and dramatic bar attempted to plug the gap, but the food in the bar was mediocre and the lounge had limited evening hours; fortunately the adjacent Temple Bar neighborhood is rich in all range of dining alternatives. FYI, this good downtown location is easily and economically linked to the airport via an Air Coach service which stops very close to the hotel.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Rogroom Very Unhappy with SPG Points Awarded for Wedding
We had our wedding here at considerable expense. The hotel provided a measly number of points considering the expenditure that was made. The explanation offered is that the wedding was classified as an "event" and thus doesn't count. Very impersonal response.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Grubbster78 Excellent service and friendliness
We had never been to the Westin Hotel before although we knew we wanted to stay somewhere more centrally than we had been on previous trips to Dublin, so the Westin Dublin seemed to fit the bill.
When we got there were blown away by how friendly the reception staff and concierge were. They did not hesitate to help us find wonderful paces to eat and interesting bars to watch the 6 nations rugby matches in!
The staff did not tire of our endless questions about the best things to see and do and every single member of staff said 'hello' whenever we passed them in a corridor.
We got the rooms for a very good price as we stayed for three nights and subsequently had one night free.
We would definitely come back and recommend it to all our friends and family.
Thank you for such a pleasures le trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MaryJG24 Perfect Location!
This hotel is ideally located in the heart of Dublin. Easy access to the sites in the centre of Dublin, and opposite Temple Bar which is ideal for the night life, bars and restaurants. Staff were very welcoming and helpful during our whole stay. Stayed in a Deluxe Double room with a view at the front of the hotel. Nice spacious room and bathroom, with seperate shower and bath. The bed was extremely comfy also! Was my boyfriends birthday during our stay too, so we had a special birthday dessert delivered to our room from the hotel, a nice touch! Only downside to this hotel, is that the wi-fi is not complimentry; I find this quite odd as wi-fi is something you expect now in hotels.
With this asside I would deffinaltey come back to the Westin Dublin, and would reccommend it to anyone coming to Dublin!

My wife and I stayed here 4 years ago and loved it. This time we were on a combination free night and two paid nights.
The hotel staff was very accomodating when we arrived at 5:30 am after an overnight flight . We hoped to just drop off our luggage and kill some time until we could check in that afternoon. But the reception staff gave us complimentary coffee and cookies, put us on the first available room list, and told us that we could relax in thier atrium level which had sofas and padded chairs. Relax we did, with a two hour nap. We were called on our cell at 10 a.m, and were told our room was ready with our luggage already delivered to the room.
This type of service and care was above and beyond, and made our three day stay a pleasure. We'll be back again, and will stay nowhere else but the Westin.

I stayed using Starpoints and was awarded a rooftop room overlooking the backside of some old, but interesting buildings. The room was huge! Elegant bathroom with bathtub and shower. The Westin had prompt room service, even for a simple order of gluten-free toast with a pot of tea. The Conceirge checked out all options for me to get from the hotel to Galway, with my several large suticases. Excellent service. Be sure to have some refreshment in the peaceful and attractive atrium.

Rated 5 out of 5 The only place to have a wedding in Dublin
So thrilled with the "wedding" service of the hotel - couldn't have asked for more. Amazing room, amazing food - attentive service, and just can't say enough about how fabulous it all was.
As for the room - well, it was the College Suite and I didn't want to move out - and would entirely recommend it!! Two floors of absolute luxury with every need thought of in advance.....and comfortable too!
Thanks so much to Sinead, Gearoid and Ross for making our stay particularly memorable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by TomFromBoston Excellent service from front desk employee
I want to pass along my most sincere compliments to the staff at the hotel who were all extremely helpful and very professional. Upon arrival we were greeted at the front desk by a young woman by the name of Nicola who spent at least 15 minutes helping my family to better understand how to navigate around Dublin and where to find some of the more interesting sites within the city. Nicola was a true joy to meet, and she went way out of her way to make us feel totally comfortable. Given her ease in conversing with new - and very tired - customers, her helpful knowledge of the Dublin area, and her overall professionalism I was quite amazed when I noticed that her name badge indicated that she is new employee in a Trainee position. She is an employee that the Westin Dublin will want to ensure remains on staff!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Europe2013 Wonderful location and exceptional staff
My husband and I have been SPG members for many years and recently toured Europe in only SPG hotels. This hotel far exceeded any other hotel we stayed on during this trip. The location could not have been better, the staff was attentive and respectful, and our room was fabulous. The staff was even kind enough to respond to my inquiries before our arrival and were extremely prompt and accurate with their responses. Thank you very much for making our stay in Dublin so memorable.

If your going to Dublin for any reason this hotel honestly can't be beaten. In location, right style, right staff, just amazing. Make sure you try the cocktails in the mint bar in the hotel! Ask the staff for local recommendations they made our stay perfect with some places the locals use away from the tourist tracks of temple bar. We are already planning our return. Thanks SPG and Westin for making our anniversary trip to see Robbie Williams in Dublin just great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Martha2012 Great hotel with a wonderful location
I stayed at the Westin Dublin the first week of November 2012 because my company had two different conferences scheduled there. The staff couldn't have been nicer, the bed was comfortable, the room very clean, and the food was great. I particularly liked the fish and chips I had in The Mint, and the Guinness. On Friday night The Mint had great dance music (recorded), and the place was packed with people having a good time, including me, and I never go to bars.

Nice hotel. We had our adult son with us so upgraded to a jr suite on day of arrival and departure . Very nice room on 4th floor on arrival. Had view of Trinity and son had some privacy as there was lots of room for the rolloway. Room offered on departure was a dungeon. No view of anything but cement wall of the balcony. Two level room with no space on either level for the rolloway and very tiny bath. If offered this room, take a reg room instead-its better.
