Rated 4 out of 5 by Jerze Pleasant First Time Experience
This is the first time I've stayed at a Westin but it won't be the last! It was beautiful! The Lombard location is ideal for a staycation--which is what we used it for. It's near all the shopping, food and entertainment you could ever want. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The service was outstanding! We were especially pleased that they allowed us to bring our furry first-born with us! :) My only "complaint" is that the wifi wasn't free ($10 per day) and it was slow. Other than that we had a great time and will definitely return!

Rated 3 out of 5 by CostaMesa Nice property, needs some upkeep
Beautiful lobby. Room was large. Sink had mold & missing caulk. Door to shower was loose and it seemed ready to fall out. Large windows without easy way to open blinds. Mini bar was empty and unplugged and did not work after plugging in. $10 to have a frig brought up. Odd. Plug on desk light did not work. High end property, motel quality oddities. The attached restaurant had excellent customer service and yummy food.

The "suite" was not what most people would consider a suite, there was no seating area it was just a regular size room. The executive lounge left a lot to be desired, and in my experiences elsewhere the beverages where complimentary. The continential breakfast was just ok with stale pastries being served.
At check in there were four or five employees talking together and i had to ask for someone to break away to check us in. There was no assistance offered with our luggage and I was pointed to where there might be some luggage carts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Melissa323 Dirty ... Management Did Not Care
I was at this establishment for a convention. It was a busy weekend for the hotel, but I expected a CLEAN room.( There was urine on the bathroom floor, food left on the floor, dirty mirrors and countertops, etc..) I brought my concerns to the front desk and they said it would be addressed. After housekeeping had come to clean the room, I still found it to be unsatisfactory.( They left garbage on the floor and did not even vacuum.) I once again brought the issue to the staffs attention, this time the housekeeping supervisor. She again assured me that it would be addressed. The staff never once offered to move me to a clean room, compensate me in any way or even apologize for the disgusting condition of my room. I asked to speak to a manager upon check out and was told that none were available. I was Extremely Disappointed in my stay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Samuel11 Great Stay!!
Location of hotel is close to shopping/entertainment, very easy to access the expressway, great looking lobby, and staff is friendly. I had a business meeting that evening and stayed in an Executive Suite. Perks being you have access to the Executive Club for snacks in the evening and a continental breakfast in the morning.
Internet was not included in the room price so for a nominal fee you were able to access the internet for a day. Not sure how many hours the "day" meant but by 11pm, I was no longer able to access it. It was late anyhow and felt I should get to bed rather than call the desk and argue what do they consider to be a "day". Also, called and asked for a 5am wakeup call but never received the call.
Two minor issues I should have brought up but chose to enjoy the positives. Enjoyed the additional perk of being in the Executive Suite and took advantage of the Executive Club Room for evening snacks and the continental breakfast.
Would definitely stay and recommend this hotel due to it being centrally located to the shopping center and entertainment in the area and accessibility to the expressway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Fun60 Great time at a great place
This will be our third time at this location. This time was exceptional. The King Terrae Suite was great, quiet and very comfortable. Mike, General Manager, the front desk and the maid made our stay memorable. As a gold member I requested for a late check out as I needed more time and it was granted. When I checked out of the room I forgot my IPhone 5 the maid found it and alerted the front desk immediately and got it to me before I left. Now that is honesty at its core... quite impressive. we will recommend it and do it again

Rated 3 out of 5 by SPGRegular Not bad but needs work
The best thing this hotel has going for it is the staff. All the staff I encountered were friendly and accomodating.
Now for the not so great:
- I had ripped and dirty bedspreads in my room which wasn't very appealing
- The hotel is really in the middle of nowhere other than being close to office parks, Target, and a mall. To get to a bar that was open, we had to sprint across 6 lanes of highway as there didn't seem to be a crosswalk
- The running route that the front desk gives is completely useless. It crosses a number of very busy streets with no crosswalks and is 60-70% without sidewalks or pathways (in some cases forcing you to run with traffic on busy streets). I've used Westin running routes before and this is hands-down the worst one I've ever seen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DWJA10 Our stay at this Hotel was fantastic!
This was our second stay at the Westin Yorktown Center, Lombard within the past few weeks. We live near-by in Wheaton and needed to stay out of our house during some remodeling work. We chose the Westin Yorktown due to proximity, and being an SPG member. This was the best decision my wife and I made and I would stay here again, in a heart beat (long weekend, special occasion) even though of its close proximity to Wheaton.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Mutty Exceptional customer service
The entire staff was polite and attentive to my every question or need. They are eco-friendly which made me happy! I attended a conference which included two banquet lunches, the food was delicious both times. VERY clean facility and was kept clean even during the busy conference, even restrooms! I down graded room cleanliness because the bathroom window needed to be cleaned. Very picky of me, I know. Best conference facility I've ever used. Kacie at the front desk was awesome!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Roam40 At this price Hotel should've been better
I stayed on the executive floor and this stay left a lot to be desired. For the price and Star rating of this particular location , it wasn't what I expected. Staff kept getting something as simple as the kind of towels I wanted wrong and this was on several occasions. Also I told the desk person something was wrong with the bed when I checked out and all he said was "Oh I will check it out" , not a sorry or my apologies for the inconvenience. Restaurant in the hotel was awesome, probably the best part of my stay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Robert35 Great htoel experience
I recently stayed at the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center for a conference. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and the conference staff were excellent. My room was very comfortable and the bed and pillows were great. I asked the Concierge if there was a 3 -5 mile run around the area and he provided me with a great map providing both routes....this is unheard of for most hotels. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience at the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center

two out of the three nights I had to call the front desk several times to complain about the noise from the people slamming doors going from room to room partying in the hall way from 10:30pm to 3pm .when they sent up security to stop it the noise stopped for about 10 minutes and they started back up again !.And the sheets and pillows smelled of some ones dirty hair .I have stayed at this Westin many times and this was the last time .You want large groups of low class customers well I am not one of them .

Rated 5 out of 5 by Wakeup Front Desk and Wake up
The gentleman who checked me in at the front desk was great - very personable and signed me up for your rewards program on the spot - very positive person.
The only negative of the visit is that I requested a wake up call at 5:45 and then they asked if I wanted a followup at 6 which I said yes. I received no wake up call at all - luckily I had my blackberry alarm set so I was not late for my meetings.

Rated 2 out of 5 by stpl35 Inconsistent Service and Platinum Acknowledgement
Nice hotel for the area; however, service was inconsistent and did not meet the minimum service standards that I've experienced at other Westin Hotels. Platinum member (6 plus years) with 3 night stay that was not offered Starwood guest floor, no water in the room, and no newspaper delivered. Coffee maker had previous coffee filter left in machine each day of my stay. I also had to call to get the safe fixed. When I went down to front desk on my second night to get water, I asked why I was not put on the Starwood guest floor and why I was not receiving water or newspaper. The front desk staff member provided me with water and apologized but could not explain deficiencies. The next morning I did receive a newspaper, but no further newspapers or water were delivered during my stay.

Rated 5 out of 5 by MarkT68 Very Nice Hotel with excellent staff
I stayed at the Westin Lombard to attend a conference, and was well pleased with the facility and the staff. The staff was very friendly and went over and above to help me with all my questions about use of the business center and a good running course in the area. The room was very clean and kept and the food served throughout the conference was delicious. I highly recommend the Westin Lombard. It is close to lots of restaurants and places to shop.

Very positive on all levels but two...
It would have been nice if the provided breakfast would have included juice. It wasn't there and I asked and they said it wasn't going to be offered... Not all of us drink coffee or tea...
Secondly, when I checked out I was not offered the option of getting a printed receipt. I probably should have forced the issue but was told, "We will email it to you right now..."
I still haven't seen it. I'm going to have to call.
Other than that it was all very pleasant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Slovak Loved the sauna & whirlpool
Very nice fitness room, pool, sauna, and jacuzzi. The only thing that surprised me is that the lockers are out in the open. I wore my clothes, bringing a swim suit along, but could not change by the lockers. I went in the men's room, which had a shower and toilet there to change, so everything worked out!

Rated 5 out of 5 by GlenVista Big rooms, nice lobby, good customer service
Been to many Westins. Property is clean and airy, rooms are big. As always the heavenly beds are heavenly. Our sink had some mildew behind the faucet which was surprising for a Westin. Nice staff, especially Leslie in the restaurant. She was very thorough, professional and sweet.

Rated 3 out of 5 by InForTheHolidays Disappointed
We stayed at this location for 6 nights. Overall, the hotel was adequate but the rooms were a bit beaten up (we had two adjoining rooms). There were leftover decorations on the walls; a rust stain on the bathtub ledge from a prior customer's shaving cream can; random "stains" on shower tiles; and the handle to the tub nearly came off in my hand. One room was handicap accessible and they used the rail by the toilet as the towel rack. One night I returned to find new towels left on bed but the beds not made nor the bathroom cleaned. We paid extra for access to breakfast and happy hour in the Executive Level Lounge and were greeted by a series of surly hostesses who made us feel like our presence was a burden. On top of all of this, they wanted $9.99/day for wi-fi - regardless of my negotiating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by sylngb Excellent Stay!
I spent four nights over Memorial Day Weekend while attending a conference. The room was perfect - the beds were incredibly comfortable, the shower was divine (dual shower heads with massagers!), and the desk was convenient. I didn't leave the hotel once, so I had all my meals on site. The food was very good, and priced well. Not bargain prices, but not higher than would be expected.
Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. There was absolutely nothing that could have been improved upon!

Rated 3 out of 5 by DS134654 Dissapointed...
I have stayed at this hotel several times and overall, this is a very nice hotel with a good location for the suburbs, but the hotel was filled with so many dogs that I considered moving to a different hotel. I could not use the hotel lobby/common area as there were routinely 6 dogs there and by the end of the week, it began to smell like dogs. This hotel and all SPG hotels really need to consider its policy on dogs in its hotels. This is a liability waiting to happen.

Another enjoyable experience at the Westin Lombard Hotel. Our room was very comfortable. Staff, as usual, is more than courteous and always available to assist. I really like the option to forego daily house keeping in exchange for extra points. When we needed replacement towels, they were brought to our room immediately by very courteous gentleman. I could not believe that he was wearing a business suit! I also like the express check out feature. It worked flawlessly. I had my on line receipt almost before I left! The O scale trains March Meet, which I was attending, switched to the Westin Lombard several years ago and it has been a very enjoyable experience since. The hotel handled our meeting very efficiently. My wife always enjoys our visit to the Westin. We look forward to our visit next year.

The staff was excellent especially Matt Sutton, the luggage attendant. He was a great help in arranging for a bus to take 26 Canadians back to the airport. I would not have been able to do it without him since I was tied up in meetings. He took complete charge and went the extra mile. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in the area.

I reserved a room last year for my family reunion and upon arrival the staff was very kind, checked me in early and even upgraded one of the rooms with our kids so they could be closer to the pool :-) I reserved 3 rooms and each one of them were very clean, bellman assisted us upstairs. Overall the hotel is very nice for weddings or meetings, and even just to get away from it all and relax! I enjoyed my stay so much, that I'm on my way back there for the fourth of July holiday special.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gracie13 A home away from home
I am a frequent traveler and must say the Service and Staff at this hotel are among the very best.. I feel well taken care of from the moment I make my reservation to the end of my stay. I am always greeted by a very friendly Bell staff who can arrange for a local trip in one of the Westin vans and are always happy to help. It is a busy hotel - yet it never feels crowded and you never feel rushed by of those attending to you. A very enjoyable place to be, if you cannot be at home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ksvgs Business / Pleasure stay at the Westin
My husband and I chose this hotel because of a wedding being held there but stayed additional time for both business and pleasure additional time. Could not have been more pleased with the accomodations, free garage parking, and location. Not far from OHare, Yorktown Shopping across the street, great restaurants and easy access to 88 and 355 expressways. You can rent a stay fit outfit, so leave the gym shoes including socks for $5.00 and exercise out of the packing list. The exercise room is complete, with pool and suana to compliment. Two opportunities for improvement are the serving of food by the lake from the restaurant and easier / closer access to a bathroom to excercise room. A breakfast should be included for the price. Small issues when compared with all the rest. Great bed and pillows for a great night rest.

Rated 3 out of 5 by hotelherie33 good but not great
had booked the hotel on the spg site and didnt get the room I had asked for with the garden tub because of a large wedding party that day, the room was very large but was missing a few touches, like a few more pics on the wall and mabey some color. Very blah. Front desk could use some spunk too. Ordered room service and was not too happy about the way the breakfast was presented. Overall very good location, but would not stay again unless this was a very discounted rate..
