The title says it all. On the second day of our visit our daughter found a condom in the trash can. This means are house keeper did not appropriately clean our room for 2 days.
Upon notifying the hotel, it took them 24 hours to conduct their investigation. I told them I was not interested in an investigation. After it was completed, they informed me the condom was not used...again I said I was not interested. The General Manager never spoke or contacted me and instead sent an intermediary.

it is unfortunate that my stay at the Paris Westin did not meet expectations. I'm a fan of the hotel and have stayed on many occasions, in fact, I even proposed to my wife at the hotel years ago.
However, my stay on the 3rd of July was below the normal level of service. TV not working, long delay in room service to merge the two single beds into one, damp all over the bathroom walls and a 6am alarm call that only came in at 6:11... very strange and no explanation from any of the staff.

We just got back from 5 days at the Westin Paris Vendome, the location, room comfort and staff helpfulness/knowledge was above our expectations. We did not experience one unhappy/unpleasant moment. The hotel is located close to everything, resturants, stores, tour agencies,metro, gardens, Lourve. We used our spg starpoints to purchase our suite and did not have any trouble doing so. We can't be any happier. We had a wondrful time,Thank you SPG , we will be life long members.

My recent trip to Paris was beyond my expectations and for the most part due to the staff at the Weston Vendome hotel. The room was perfect and the service we received was superb. I travel to Paris frequently and this was probably one of the best stays I have had in recent memory. Very professional and courteous from the bellman to the housekeeping staff, to the front desk. I WILL stay here again and would, without a doubt, recommend to all of my friends and business associates to stay at the Weston Vendome. Many thanks to the staff!
My wife insists that I mention how well they treated our 2 pets that accompanied us. I know some will roll their eyes, but it's hard to find hotels that treat travelers with pets this well! The staff at this Westin sets the standard that all hotels should match. Again, Merci Beaucoup.

The hotel was centrally located so it made our week long trip very enjoyable. It was great to have water bottles daily and fruit, wine and cookies upon arrival. The outdoor tea room was very beautiful decorated for Christmas with heaters to keep us very warm. The staff was very helpful with directions and suggestions. We were also able to have a Jet Lag massage at the Sixth Sense. A must. The heavenly beds are truly heavenly. Thanks for a great week in Paris.

I am not sure if I was not dress appropriately or because I am an American, but the room that I paid for was not given to me. I was told to wait until 2 pm for my room to be ready. But those who came behind me received their rooms with no complications.
My young daughter and I ended up with a very small room with 2 twin beds. When we ordered our room service, the staff brought our dinner on a huge round table where we have to eat on a bed. It was very ridiculous that we were being treated in a way as if we never been in such a 5-star hotel.
I am very disappointed of the entire staff members in this particular hotel. I will not definitely spend my time and money in this Westin again.
I was suppose to receive a free internet service also and I had to pay for it. Plus, our room was very noisy from the sounds of the guests above us.

Never got a good night sleep. Walls are VERY thin. We were woken up every night at 2am for 2 hours by the couple next door. It sounded like they were in bed with us. Staff told us this is a problem with every room because the hotel is old. Well last trip to Paris we stayed in the Prince and did not have this problem. In fact I have never had this problem. We could hear guests on both sides! Great location, lovely staff. But I would never stay here again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by RR360 Hotel needs a Facelift
Although the hotel is in a very central location in Paris it is in need of a refurbish. The view rooms were tiny and the noise from the street made you feel as if you were sleeping on the street. Paint was chipping off of the walls in the bathrooms and the carpet was in need of replacement which may have contributed to the unpleasent odor present in the rooms. Overall, the experience was far below my expectations and not indicative of Westin renown.

I recently stayed at this Westin, and was very disappointed by the first impressions of the welcome desk. The gentlemen who checked me in stated there were no Platinum upgrades available and that the hotel was "completely sold out". He informed me that the only rooms available were standard rooms. After check in, I found multiple rooms for sale at Spg.com, including Deluxe rooms and Junior suites. I contacted the platinum desk and they confirmed there were plenty of upgraded rooms available. The platinum desk then contacted the hotel directly and the reservations manager at the hotel placed me another room which was much larger and nicer than the one I was originally assigned.
If this hotel didn't want to upgrade me, that's fine. But I have an issue when the check in clerk lies to me about the availability of the rooms. I asked 3 times whether the standard room was the only one available, and he assured me this was the case.
While the location of the hotel is excellent, the hotel staff should do a better job of keeping their Platinum members happy. There are many hotel options in Paris, and this hotel doesn't seem to care.

Great service - I arrived hotel at 930am and they did not hv a room, but they promised to text me on my international number when the room is ready, and they did! At 1130, right at the earliest possible time they promised. Very impressive!
Room is beautiful and more spacious than most big city downtown hotels I'd have imagined! Nicely decorated with balconies!
Friendly helpful staff at all encounters! I would love to come back!

Rated 5 out of 5 by STARFLEET Thanksgiving at The Westin Paris-Vendome!
As I write this I am sitting in the Royal Suite, with a stunning living room on the 100% corner, overlooking the Louvre, the Tuilleries Gardens and the (now lit-up) Tour Eiffel.
The incredibly professional management and staff at the Westin-Vendome have seen fit to smile upon our family and present us with the 60th birthday upgrade of a lifetime! With an en-suite bedroom on either side of the amazingly grand and stylishly-funky-formal living room, we have been able to enjoy cocktails-with-a-view every night before taking advantage of the many spectacular restaurants within easy walking distance.
This hotel is so much the winner in so many categories: elegance, service, location and value...this is not the first time I've had the pleasure to stay at the Westin Paris, and there is no question but that it will not be the last!
This is a reason to be thankful!

This was our second stay at the hotel. The first was about three years ago and was great.
This time we were disappointed in the condition of the hotel. It seems in need of refurbishment. The condition of the rooms and hallways is not what one would expect of a Westin. The staff was great and very helpful. The welcome was similarly very warm and cordial. The hotel is just getting a little worn and needs updating.

My housekeeper Vida was helpful and kept the room clean and was very friendly.
Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Great selection of fruit, meats, pastries, super foods, fresh juice and coffee served to order. Staff was always there to help and friendly, even during busy time.
Le First restaurant was excellent and had several set price options and an excellent wine list.
I highly recommend the Westin Vendome!

The Westin Paris Vendome is a beautiful hotel located in the heart of Paris, walking distance to the Louvre, The Eiffel Tower, The Arc de Triumphe and Notre Dame. The facillty is marvelous and we had gorgeous suites on our two reecent stays (September and October 2012). The staff were great in all areas, from Check In to Consierge to Room Service.. We will definitely keep this as our place to stay in Paris!

Have enjoyed Westin Hotels across the globe but this one leaves a lot to be desired. Wonderful location near major attractions. Very disappointing front desk staff. Concierge could be described as surly at best. Our room was located right above the garbage area. We were awakened at 3:00 am every night by garbage trucks, workers yelling at each other and banging doors! Overall an unsatisfactory experience.

This was our first visit to Paris, in May 2012, and we had a magical visit in large part to The Westin Vendome. Our room, a Junior Suite with Eiffel Tower View, was perfect and we spent many hours on our balcony watching over this beautiful city. We are returning this May 2014 and have made reservations at The Westin Vendome for this visit as well, we cannot imagine staying anywhere else. Thank you!

My family stayed here for 2 nights recently. I reserved with a basic rate and used my free suite night upgrade for both nights, one of the many generous benefits due to Platinum 50 members.
The hotel did not have our original upgraded Prestige suite available when we first arrived around noon. They then upgraded us to a huge Ambassador suite and had it ready for us by 2 in the afternoon. The suite had amazing views of Eiffel Tower and Jardin Des Tuileries. It was simply the best room I have ever stayed within the Star wood brands.
To top it off, we had a sumptuous breakfast for the entire family plus one guest. The staff comped us even though Platinum benefits only entitle 2 guests.
Throughout our stay, the staff had been incredibly friendly and helpful. Their courteous and prompt services really made our Paris trip memorable. We are looking forward to our next trip back already.

EXCEPTIONAL and OUTSTANDING Service from booking the room all the way to check out. The service provided by the [Platinum concierge (brunette young lady) during check in, Camille (one of the restaurant lead attendant at the restaurant), and front desk supervisor ] were exceptional. They were all very attentive, knowledgeable, accommodating. Probably one of the best service I've ever experienced as a Platinum Guest Member. Camille made the surprise birthday event at the restaurant memorable! Thanks Camille for all your help. The view is spectacular if you get the balcony option. Expect the rooms to be a bit smaller compared to most US rooms, but the location of the hotel is probably the best in Paris. The hotel is close to the Louvre, shopping district, and a great park for the kids. The gym is ok, bigger than some of the hotels, spa is a great feature. One of the best place to stay in Paris!

Stayed over Christmas with my wife and son in a junior suite. The hotel staff was very welcoming for a non-French speaking guest.
The junior suite was very large and comfortable.
Location of the hotel could not have been more centrally located to all of the major sites.
Le First also was pricy, but the best food we had in Paris over the week.
Would recommend the hotel to anyone.

The hotel is in a perfect location. Walking distance to the the Louvre and many other attractions. The room wasn't bad, but it would have been hard to fit two people in it. There was hardly any walking room around the bed. The bathroom does need to be updated with a fresh coat of paint or wall paper. As a platinum member I was a little disappointed that I wasn't upgraded.

Our room and the dining room were too dark in decor. Our bedroom had a sloping wall which we both at times managed to hit our heads on.
Apart from that, it was in a good location and the staff were very helpful!

This hotel is located in a fantastic spot, but is very noisy. There seems to be little insulation for the walls so you can hear every word spoken in the room next door at 2am.
Also for the price you pay you would expect a better gym.
It is also a big hotel hosting weddings and conferences, just too big and commercial.
Just not what you would expect from a Westin Hotel.

We had a very poor meal in the restaurant. They did not have my wife's menu selection and I ordered the ribeye steak which was exceptionally tough and chewy. The chef came by the table and we informed him and he seemed unconcerned.
You have a beautiful lobby but I don't care for the gray shades over the chandeliers. The look out of place in an otherwise nice lobby.

Very nice hotel and nice rooms. Had a few issues with TV and wi-fi that needed repair during stay. Staff was quite responsive in working solutions. The location is very good for a number of attractions.

I was treated to a great stay when I visited Paris on November 15th. After an early arrival the staff was very helpful to get me checked into my room asap and held my bags and gave me excellent tips on sightseeing while they got the room ready. Magnificaent view of downtown Paris from my very affordable rrom. I will most certainly stay here when I come back.

The Westin-Vendome Hotel and its incredibly attentive staff made our visit to Paris absolute perfection! Beautifully appointed room (Prestige Suite) was very generous in size and wardrobe/storage space, the decor was elegant and tasteful, and our exposure to the open courtyard made for a quiet, restful atmosphere. And of course the Heavenly beds were the perfect place to end our day and left us energized and rested to begin our very full days of sightseeing/touring! We were traveling with our 13-year granddaughter and the Prestige Sutie provided two full baths and essentially two rooms. Her "roll-away" bed was actually a ful twin Heavenly bed as well! Finally, the concierge staff was so very helpful and fulfilled every request with expertise and their recommendations were right on! The central location to all the "highlights" of Paris was ideal! Thank you Westin-Vendome for making our Paris trip one which we will treasure for a lifetime!
