booked 2 rooms and sent email for corner room but instead got 2 small rooms with 2 small beds in each. called guest relations but was told sorry each time. also at check in no mention of club lounge so assumed it was given but when I tried to get in the key did not work so when back to the desk and they re keyed for me. stayed here several time before and always really enjoyed the stay will have to try again when they are not so busy.

Staff at Hotel was very cold !! Chair in the room one with writing desk had chipping wood & caused me a small wound. Service Express staff was unresponsive on two occassions. I needed help from engineer when by mistake i locked safety valut. I called service express 4 times& every time got an answer he's on way. Next day Housekeeing forgot to keep coffee, service express didnt send for 5 hrs.Informed Reception but none courtsey later

We reached out to hotel management before our stay to encourage a nice vacation experience when taking 2 rooms for 4 nights. What a disappointment. No one at the Platinum check-in. No upgrade of our room type. Indifferent attitude of the front desk staff. The worst: young children playing nosily in the hallway late at night. We called security and they said "nothing we can do". We talked to the nanny (parents were not staying with the children) she said she could not control them. We asked for compensation at check out & were told "we will consider this & email you". The paid 1,000 Euros for one room and 46,000 pts for the other and rec'd some meger pts as goodwill.
By the way, rooms are small, bathroom very small. Shower is like a phone booth.
I doubt the manager will respond as we reached out before our visit, we tried to get more platinum recognition at check-in, and we made our displeasure known at check-out. What can they say now?
This property does not belong in the Starwoods group & offers nothing for Platinum members.

The associates at Westin Grand in Munich were so nice and friendly, I felt very welcomed. The front desk, the concierge and everyone else were very kind, attentive and helpful.
The view from the room to the Alps was beautiful. And having a typical Bavarian restaurant in the same building was not only very convenient, but also very good.
I enjoyed staying there very much, and I recommend the Westin Grand in Munich.

It was my birthday and we want to stay at munich at this special day.
It was our second time at the westin grand. The first stay was very nice. But our second time the room wasn´t very clean and my birthday breakfast was an dissapointment. Cheese, fresh fruits and another things were empty and not re filled. Also the staff was not very intent. It´s a pity but this was our last stay at the westin grand.

as we sat in the bar having a few drinks after a great day in munich sight seeing we still could not believe in what we paid for to stay here and if that was not enough we got a free upgrade without even asking , it could not be described you just have to go and see for yourself . we will look forward to our return ,
our next city break , will depend on if there is a WESTIN in that city

For a business traveller and SPG gold member, this was lacking. The desk had no phone and the bedside phone cord was knotted up in an impossible ball to unwind to drag over to the desk. Also, there were no power plugs by the desk and no hard internet line. Wifi only connected to some of my devices and could not connect to another. It was late so I didn't bother asking for another room.

This hotel is fabulous. From the clean, spacious lobby to the great rooms, it would be very difficult to find a better Hotel. The staff are always available to help. I stayed in room 1308 on July25-26. Other than the room being a little too hot as it does face the sun, It was a great stay.

Hotel is very efficient, good service, great recognition of spg platinum status....it has a great executive lounge on the 23 floor. Most likely the largest one I have experienced. Service there was excellent. Only downside is that it is not in downtown Munich so if you want to take a walk and visit - most likely not the hotel for you. However if it is pure business, it is great.

My wife and I spent 4 days at the Munich Westin Grand. It was terrific. This Hotel has outstanding Facilities and Services. It is also located close to a Subway station that get's you to the best places downtown in 8 minutes. We were in the Executive Level. The Customer Service was without error and tops in the Hospitality Business. Best 5 star in Munich for the price you pay.

As a business guest I stayed 4 days in the Westin. A Bavarian room with view, clean, fresh and tidy. It was a very pleasant stay tough certain things can be improved such as greeting the guests, friendliness, I met different attitudes towards hostmanship. Furthermore I found te Spa quit old fashioned but Paulaner was very very very good!!!!
I wil come back soon

Spent 4 great nights at this hotel. When we informed management that we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary they upgraded our room and provided a nice gift. It was greatly appreciated.
In addition the hotel is pure class in a great location.

My room did not look anything like the photo on the hotel's Internet website. Very deceptive. The wood wasn't varnished and other guests had scribbled on the table. Very disgusting and a disappointing start to my stay.

Everything was nice at the hotel except for the heating/cooling system. I was there in November, and the heat was on full blast. When I wanted to cool the room, I had to turn off the heater and open the window - no air conditioning. This was OK (but not ideal because the window didn't open much) in my room, but left the meeting rooms entirely too hot.

The rooms are excellently furnished, bathrooms contain separate shower and bathtub. Although the facade seems dated, the inside is quite lovely and updated.
We really enjoyed the ArabellaSpa, which was beyond our expectations. The cozy indoor pool had several features, the gym was well-equipped with TVs on the machines, and the sauna was spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was enjoyable, although a bit pricey (EUR 30).
Unfortunately, we were disappointed with housekeeping, as they did not clean the toilet bowl everyday. We were also surprised with the Internet charges (free in the lobby)... EUR95 for 7 days high-speed internet... really? Also, for a 5* hotel, we were expecting a little more in terms of service of the staff (wasn't personal nor special).
Nevertheless, we enjoyed the luxurious feel of the place, and the excellent features of the hotel. It was a gorgeous hotel, and we would come back when in Munich again!

Yes if I will visit Munich with a rented car I will give Westin a fair chance to win my stay. I have three reservations: parking should cost less. Same goes to breakfast. The maintenance could be better as the furniture are rundown a bit. The distance from the center force you to use a car hence parking is part of the considerations.

I usually like this hotel but they need to improve their strength of staff at the front desk. This particular day, i had to wait for 20 minutes and it caused me to miss my flight. I could not use the feature of getting the bill over mail as there was a small mistake that i wanted corrected. But for this bad experience, i was generally happy.

I travel extensively, and was pleasantly surprised at possibly one of my best hotel experiences in Europe. The Westin Grand would now be my preferred hotel every-time I touch down in Munich - be it for business or leisure. The room was very clean and comfortable, and offered me a birds eye view of the city. Worth every cent.

The Munich Hotel is well situated. Parking is a problem if you do not want to use the expensive garage.Breakfast seating is quite crouded but the Food is very good. Spa and gym is great. The rooms are very comfortable and have great beds (at least in the SPG floors). The Paulaner Restaurant is not very good.

Really pleased with the room and the service. As of now our family's favourite place to stay in Munich. The Westin suite is very well appointed. I would rate this to be better than many other more expensive suite options in Munich.

Unfortunately 2 of the Hotel restaurants wers closed one of which, ZEN, there was no prior notification of closure. The local area has few restaurants and I was therefore very dissappointed with the lack of prior notification

The Westin Grand is a beautiful hotel, the rooms were clean and modern but I feel this hotel was a bit overpriced for the service I recieved during my stay. The Front Desk staff was not overly helpful and didn't even acknowledge me as an SPG member till I asked them about my SPG benefits at checkin. The concierge could not provide me with local transportation informaiton when I asked for assistance. Instead I was referred to a local website to figure it out for myself! The final straw was the lack of responsive service while trying to get a quick meal and drink at the lobby bar. My intent was to be in an out in an hour, which I clearly stated to the wait staff upon seating, but it took nearly and hour for me to simply get my food once I managed to get thier attention and place my order. Nearly 2 hours after coming into the lobby bar I finally finished eating. On a positive note the food was good, but the service as a whole with the Westin Grand is in need of improvement.

Paying to watch tv in your language.
Paying for wifi in bedrooms which is a high price. Wifi should be free for paying guests in bedrooms. If it's free in the lobby, it should be free in bedrooms.

We really love this hotel when we are in Munich. The location is a little outside of the main part of Munich, but it is one black from all sorts of transportation. Also, there is a ReWe store, an Apoteke and other things just down the block.

The only concern this time, I had was the room temperature will never drop below 25 degree. I tried to lower the temperature through the controls, but it wouldnot work, which affected my sleep.
