Rated 4 out of 5 by Noise issue Upon checkout we advised the staff about the noise level around 2:30 AM - 3:30 AM. We were in room 215 which was directly outside of the workout area. Someone was lifting weights, and dropping them, instead of setting them down. Needless to say, this was quite loud. The staff did give us a partial credit on our stay, which was very nice of them. We loved the hotel, and restaurants. Except for one waitress at Harry Carays, who was not very friendly or attentive, especially since we were sitting out on the patio, with our dog (after getting their ok for the dog to be there), she brought our drinks and appetizer and did not bring napkins or silverware. We waited a while, and my husband eventually went in to get them. Other than that issue, we enjoyed the Westin, and will definately stay there again. Even the dog enjoyed the treats he received when we walked in! Our son lives in Lombard and we will definately be traveling back there from Ohio! July 8, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by This hotel does not live up to expectation I am a life-time Gold spg member. I travel a lot for work and I have been to many Westin. Westin Lombard was definitely below expectation. 1) Customer Service - When I entered and exited the hotel, even though there were hotel employees standing at the door, no one greeted me, let alone open and close the door for me. This location does not have automatic doors. So if you have luggage and young child with you, which was the case for me, getting the door is not the easiest thing to do. It's ridiculous that I was struggling with the door while the Hotel employees were just chit chatting. 2) Room Service - the quality of the food was so bad that after the first night, I rather go out to get food then order in in the subsequent nights. I ordered burger and turkey sandwich. Both dishes were very cold. Also, the selection of the room service menu was very limited. For a Westin, this was very disappointing when you expect business travelers often order room service after a long day at work. 3) Pool - the towels were dirty (multiple stains) and lack of lounge chairs. Not a nice set up at all. 4) Room - We keep finding random elastic bands from the carpet. It was very weird. Not sure why the vaccum didn't pick that up. Also all the doors close so very loudly. It really doesn't help with your next door neighbor came back at 3 am and the door slammed so loud and woke up everyone. July 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this hotel I travel to Lombard quite often for business and, even though there are hotels 15 minutes closer to the office, I always choose to stay here. The hotel feels new, especially the lobby and pool area. Rooms are just standard Westin ones but always clean. The service is prompt, warm and consistent. Everyone I've met so far has been super friendly and always willing to help. Sometimes (but rarely) if there is only one CSR at the front desk and if he/she is in the back or somewhere else you'll have to wait at the front desk to check in. This may sound like an exaggeration, but not a single one of my many experiences has been negative. Keep it up guys, thanks! May 21, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Felt like a second tier guest I had a late check in, which was brought to the Westin's attention, but it was not noted, nor was i told i could check in, in advance to avoid waiting for the system to reboot. Then i received a room right next to the gym. All night every night, I heard loud crashing and booms. Not sure if it was from the weight room or from work being done by staff in the level below, but I could not sleep. Fridge was removed from my room as well. the entire stay was a major inconvenience. I will likely be visiting the Downers Grove area regularly over the next several months, and will be exploring options for hotel accommodations. A nice hotel, but worthless if guests can not get any sleep. April 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Westin This is one of my favorite hotels in Chicago. Not only is it a first class property, but it's right off two major highways and surrounded by restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. Platinum is always recognized and usually gets a nice room and always club access. The club is very nice and relaxing; only once was it too crowded. It's been recently remodeled and has a fancy starbucks coffee machine. Unfortunately they took out the printer for the computer, but I think there's one in the business center. The pool and workout facilities are unbelievably nice/big, but can be crowded because they are a big draw for the fit crowd. Parking is very convenient and safe. January 20, 2014

Especially your concierge crew who never fail to put a smile on their face as soon as I walk in to the hotel. I would most probably be back there again some where in July 2014. July 2, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by 2 Main Improvements URGENTLY Needed Overall, the hotel is ok, staff is friendly and rooms are up to Westin standards. However, the Internet is too slow to stream anything on Hulu or Netflix and the water temperature and pressure is completely unsatisfactory. You basically have to turn the water all the way on and to the hottest setting to shower in the morning (same is true for the sink; have been in 7 different rooms so far and had the same problem throughout). I spend more time in hotels than at home during the week and will be in Lombard for the next couple of months. Would love to stay at the Westin but these two things might be a deal breaker for me. Rated 3 out of 5 This hotel has changed its service quality in the negative way This used to be a good hotel and now becoming an average one with the possibility of going bad. The rooms are not taken care well, not maintained properly. I was on the Executive Floor on Room 1819, one phone was not working (never repaied during my stay) and the sink was completely clogged (was cleaned quickly) June 30, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by SHUTTLE SERVICE SUCKS I stay here very frequently (3-4 times/month) for business and I consistently deal with poor shuttle service. Most of the drivers/schedulers are quite pleasant but there are a couple who are downright rude, lazy, incompetent or a mix of the three. As a business professional whose priority is to make it to the office on-time it frustrates me to see such inflexible and insensitive personnel. I have even had to take taxis on a couple occasions due to the poor service. You would think that they would be more sensitive to the needs of guests from one of their largest corporate accounts but that is simply not the case here. September 17, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Welcoming staff Your staff makes quite a wonderful impression. The Bellhop recognized us from past stays & was very gracious even though we were loaded down with luggage. The woman who checked us in was also very welcoming. We had a group of friends visit our room on Friday night. I went to the 18th floor lounge Saturday morning to get tea prior to cleaning up the Friday night mess. Your cleaning staff came in & did a magical job clearing away the detritus from the previous evening while I was relaxing in the lounge. Our meals in the restaurants in the hotel were delicious. Rated 3 out of 5 by Thought it Would Be Better... We chose the Westin in Lombard, IL for a July 4 stay because they accepted dogs (even offered them a "Fido Welcome Package" with nice amenities). Two hours after arriving, we were told they were out of the pet beds and bowls; two 'human' bowls were brought to us an hour after that. Okay, I thought, whatever. Then I went to get a bucket of ice - the lid had some mold on the underside of it. That was rectified immediately with a nice man at the front desk. Next was a trip to the pool...but it was delayed because our key didn't work to get into the door labeled "Pool". After going back down to the front desk (where they were probably afraid to see me coming AGAIN!), I was informed that we had to go "all the way down the hallway, then turn left" and enter through the door labeled "Fitness Room". Of course, why didn't I know that??! ANYway, saw some good firework displays from the room and slept well. Room service arrived in the morning with only one set of utensils; back down to the restaurant where a server asked if plastic utensils were okay. When I stated I would prefer silverware, he went to an already-set table and pulled a fork out of a nicely-folded napkin. Couldn't I have the spoon, knife and napkin, too? This should've been a problem-free stay, but hired personnel made it quite annoying. The room/bathroom was nice & quiet, hotel proximity was quite good, but incompetent staff made me rate this hotel at average or below. With so many other hotels in the area, I probably won't be back at this one. July 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good Meeting location I traveled with my husband for business, we stayed on the preferred SPG floor and were near the continental breakfast and appetizer area. This space was nice. My only comment was that the food could have been nicer for dinner hour (healthier) and having cocktails would have been good as well.' We were pleasantly suprised by the great work out and pool area. I especially enjoyed the roof top deck to enjoy during sunny days. It could have been dressed up a bit more with greenery and had cusions on the chairs, but it was great to be able to get outside. We liked the proximity to shopping and multiple food options. Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable stay, but needs improvement I contacted the express service and they gave me misinformation. Although I was an SPG, when I requested contact lens solution, the girl told me to get it from the gift shop, even though the services guide in the room said it would be provided if requested. I also asked the same girl if there was a Macy's in the Yorktown shopping mall and if so, what time it closes. She told me yes, there was and it closes at 9pm. I walked to the mall and around the mall for about an hour and there was no Macys. The room itself had a lightbulb that was burnt out and the door to the cabinet containing the fridge was broken. Otherwise, the bed was comfortable and everything else met my expectations. November 18, 2013

Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice Facility but Only Okay Experience Checked in on a Monday night. While I like the hotel itself, and have had great experiences here in the past, it feels like the experience continues to gradually slip. Check in was fine, I was recognized as a Platinum member, and was told I was upgraded to exactly the room type I had actually reserved, so no upgrade despite the hotel being largely empty. Room 1621, a deluxe corner suite, is large and comfortable, with lots of windows, although really a large room rather than a suite. Other than some very ratty towels that had tears and holes, the room was in good shape. Decent breakfast in the Executive Club in the morning. Like the hotel a lot, but feel like the staff really doesn't care. February 12, 2014

Rated 5 out of 5 by Consistent and Comfortable Great Starwood Westin property that consistently recognizes Platinum status. The hotel has a plethora of executive and true suites, so upgrades are frequent and enjoyable. Executive Club offers fairly basic food, but the service is genuinely friendly and warm. Gym is adequately stocked and open 24/7. Lots of free parking. Great amenities within a short drive, whether Target next door, or dozens and dozens of restaurants nearby. May 11, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by Located in a great spot Upon arrival I was greeted by Pascal and he was very friendly. We were in room 342 and there was a decent view of people laying out on the deck...not what I want to see. There was a huge wet stain on our bed, a wet stain on the carpet, the bathroom was filthy, the Internet was a 10.00 charge whereas at any other place I can get that for free. The remote to the tv was disabled after the first night (we stayed 2), the beds were extremely uncomfortable, dirty towels were in the room, dirty floors. This is the first and last time I stay here. Way overpriced for poor maintenance and $10 wi-if. Horrible. August 20, 2013

Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful Lobby This hotel has a beautiful lobby and comfortable rooms! Location is very convenient as it is in the same shopping center as a huge mall that we thoroughly enjoyed shopping at! Staff was very friendly and accommodating! This hotel also gives a very nice discount to Midwestern University student families, so we always stay at this hotel when we visit my son who attends Midwestern. Only negative would be that you have to pay an extra fee for internet access in your room and there isn't a hot breakfast included. However, there is a McDonalds very close. Otherwise, we loved our stay at this Westin. September 30, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Best I love the Westin. That says it all. Our corporate office is in Lombard, and while I have a choice of hotels, I chose the Westin. The quality of the hotel is excellent; the rooms are clean, appealing, and the crisp sheets are to die for, the staff is friendly and accommodating, the food at the adjoining restaurant is great and let me not forget the smell of hotel. I purchase the lotions and other products all the time now just because I fell in love with the smell of the hotel. What's not to love? I highly recommend the Westin. May 15, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Westin Lombard Location was great, but no one on the staff could tell me anything about it - like what were the restaurants in the area - even though there were many, or the what was playing at the theater complex right next door. Room appeared clean until you moved a chair or anything else - those areas had not been swept for a while. I was offered a reduction in the room rate of $5/day if I did not want house keeping, but the $5 was not taken off the room - it was credit towards eating in the hotel restaurant. It isn't about the money - it is something offered under false pretensis. Very comfortable bed. November 20, 2011

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sensory Experience The cool sound of the water wall, the fresh clean scent of the lobby, the taste of the well prepared food, the look of the well lit mirrored lobby, and the feel of the soft comforter all created a sensory experience that makes this hotel one of my favorites. Even though I was there for a conference with over 800 middle school and high school students, I slept well and did not hear students late into the night as you might expect. The security was great and my stay was memorable. The proximity to eating places and shopping makes it an ideal place for a conference or a weekend stay. February 17, 2014
