Our first time experience at the Westin Aruba was exceptional. I called prior to arrival and was connected to Karellys Hoeverts who was very helpful in making our stay a great experience. She was friendly, hospitable and went out of her way to make us feel at home. we had booked for 8 days, we extended for another 8 days because we were so comfortable in the hotel thanks to Karellys. We are so sorry to see the Westin close this Feb 2014. Sincerely, Alice & Abe

We found most staff really cared about us and trying their best to ensure our expectations - especially Front Office and Housekeeping. I can't possibly understand how someone can say rooms are musty and soggy .. they were clearly at a different hotel than we were or perhaps in a different section. Our accommodations exceeded our expectations.

Don't write reviews (usually read) however, have to agree with all those who wrote positive things about the Westin and staff. Staff were very friendly and eager to please. Having stayed here before it's good to know things haven't changed. Cleanliness of rooms, restaurant service and staff all "A+". One suggestion I have would be to make reservations for Pago Pago in advance. Sometimes a little hard to get. Otherwise, our most favorite vacation spot. Looking forward to another visit next week. Almost forgot, definitely treat yourself to a massage at the spa. You won't regret it.

My husband and I stayed here in October and had a wonderful time. Danny at the Front Desk was so great to us and helped with a room change that really made our vacation the best ever! He is the BEST! Everyone we met was so helpful from helping with dinner reservations, at the beach restaurant, help with beach chairs, etc.
We will definitely be back!

Our stay in Aruba was enhanced because we stayed at the Westin. The tone was set when we arrived and were greeted by Tony who put a smile on our face. Then off to the front desk where Dany took care of us and some of the particular request we had for our son who was getting engaged. Being platinum we were upgraded to a suite (the presidential suite ) Usually we are not fans of hotel food but this hotel's restaurants are excellent as is the service. The beach is well kept and lovely.

My friend is there for the Mrs. Universe pageant. I thought I'd surprise her by having a couple things sent to her room. I found a couple items on the amenities menu and went through with ordering. Not speaking directly with a person, I was a little leery. My friend got her items on the days I requested and gluten free which I wasn't sure if was possible because there wasn't an option! The plate was decorated nicely how I asked. Again, not speaking with a person directly, I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out and my card was charged. To my surprise, It was just as I had hoped and am so very pleased that I signed up for SPG membership!!!

Disregard the negative reviews. I'm platinum and picky about hotels without being overly critical. Got upgraded to a full suite on check in. Property is very well maintained and friendly staff. Room condition and food good to very good. Beach is perfect and building within 5 minute walk to bars and shops. Only complaint - pool was small and crowded even in off season

We just returned from a most relaxing vacation. We are starwood members and were researching vacation plans in March 2013 for travel plans in July 2013. We considered Aruba but were almost scared off by the negative reviews. Our room was spacious, clean and delightful. Outside amenities were equally as nice. All Westin staff were pleasant and accommodating. We arrived and our room was not ready. Westin provided us with a complimentary lunch and just as we finished our dining experience, a Westin member greeted us to inform us that our room was ready for occupancy. Evelyn at the towel hut was most accommodating. Please don't let the negative reviews scare you off. No mold in bathrooms and no congested or wait times for elevators. Sonya was also reassuring. I actually contacted this property prior to booking because of all the negative reviews. She reassured me that we would be quite satisfied with the property and she was right. Thank you Westin for a restful relaxing vacation!!
