Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Staff Overall the staff is excellent. From Thierry and the rest of the front desk staff to Ricardo at the bar. I always feel welcome at the Westin. The only thing that I would like to see changed is for a pullup bar/dip station combo added to the gym as well as a rowing machine, stairmaster and or spin bike added to the gym. December 3, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by messy room when i entered the room - all the doors and drawers were open - and there was no blow dryer in the room - had to get it delivered after my shower the next day when i noticed. March 1, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by The hotel would not extend my stay. Very disappointing All flights were cancelled yet the hotel would not extend my stay. Luckily I found a room down the road. Very poor response from a hotel for a person who travels weekly and needs to know they can find a place to stay when the weather gets ugly February 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Room service The breakfast room service did not arrive; I called and a maintenance person delivered the food about 10 minutes later. The oatmeal was cold with a film on the top as though it had sat for a long time. This type of service doesn't fit the rest of the hotel, which is excellent and the front desk staff were very pleasant. February 6, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by My stay experience My stay was overall very good. That being said there are areas for inprovement. I requested a microwave and received one after my second request. However, when I tried to use it the door would not open. I was impressed with the way the hotel responded to storm victims and the way they made accomadations for their pets. November 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect We booked this hotel when we lost power at our home. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff so nice. We brought our small dog and they were all quite accommodating! We plan on coming back just for a nice getaway!!! February 11, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Luke warm at best Heat in room didn't work...turned up to 78 and fan blew cool air Hot water only Luke warm for shower. Let water run for 10 minutes before it got to Luke warm. Never got hot. February 21, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Great location, but... Perfectly located, and the staff was quite nice/helpful, but our stay was marred by a series of small problems. There was no hot water, one of the two rooms we reserved was not made up after the first day, the lobby Starbucks was closed, and they burned a breakfast. December 29, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by AVOID THE 2ND FLOOR I'M NOT SURE HOW CROWDED THE HOTEL WAS WHEN I STAYED BUT THEY PUT US ON THE SECOND FLOOR NEXT TO THE CONFERENCE ROOMS AND THEIR NEW WORKOUT CENTER. WE HAD ASKED FOR A LATE CHECK OUT AS WAS PART OF OUR PACKAGE BUT LEFT EARLY BECAUSE OF THE NOISE AND WE DID NOT WANT TO SWITCH ROOMS AT THAT TIME. July 22, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Worst night ever Sheets felt like sand paper. Maid walked in on me and my husband. wedding party was in the hallway making noise from midnight to 3am. the shower had mold stains. overcharged on room service. good points: Lynn was very courteous. We did get our room comped. But it was wasn't enough. September 12, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very Disapointing We were very disapointed at this hotel. Our room had paint pealing off the ceiling in the bathroom, black mold in the corner of the tub by the floor, thin walls so heard neighbors. The wallpaper in the main room was stained and pealing in areas. The parking area far from front desk. November 21, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by The hotel is in a great location and has very nice public areas The hotel was more "fancy" than I expected. The lobby area was great and if the weather was warmer I would have taken advantage of the terrace outside the lobby. While I didn't really get any recognition for being a Starwood Preferred Guest, I was treated very well. October 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by GREAT STAFF Came to the Westin Princeton for a "get away" and also to go to a family wedding. It was the 4th of July weekend and the staff was ALWAYS VERY HELPFUL in any questions I had or suggestions on how to get from one place to the other. GREAT STAFF and WONDERFUL WESTIN. July 6, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by This hotel has splendid features. Our suite was spacious, well equipped and well lit. We also enjoyed the bed and the pillows. The people at the front desk were nice and helpful, but the safe proved to to be unreliable. The toilet also didn't flush well, bec. of the poor water pressure. August 5, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very pleasant! Great hotel. Staff attentive. Professional and polite. The dining room is tasteful and the wait staff was on top of their game. Would stay here anytime. February 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Staff! Just wanted to say thank you to a great staff at the Princeton Westin. Thierry at the front desk and Ricardo and Mo in the lounge were wonderful. They greeted me by name every day and provided exceptional service during my stay! Thank you! October 25, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great; except Awakened @ 2 am by very loud and drunken shouting. I had to get up @ 3:15 anyway, but other guests were bothered. I heard knocking on the door where all the noise was coming from and a request to hold down the noise from another guest. October 17, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by The room was in poor condition The hotel room had an extremely musty smell as soon as you walked in and none of the windows would open. The window frame was covered in mold. The robe was all dirty and the screws for the blinds were falling out of the wall. September 3, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Option for the Area This is a nice hotel if you're in the region. Good service, rooms are basic, not very large... not many suites. Never have received an upgrade. Restaurant not very exciting but there's a few good options within 2 or 3 minutes. April 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great comfort of bed I want to buy the bed I slept in on Saturday night . Your staff was universally competent and also fun to be with. Thanks. My request to buy the bed was hyperbolic. I just meant to say that I got a great night’s sleep. . December 7, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel has a very friendly staff From the moment me and my family stepped into the hotel, the staff was friendly and very helpful. Always made eye contact and made a point to say hello. January 2, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Any further away! Even though I am an SPG member I had the room that was furthest away from everything. It was quicker for me to go out the fire escape and come back in the bar area than walk to the elevator. October 2, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great hotel! We love this hotel. We have come back two years in a row for Thanksgiving. The staff is super accomidating and will do whatever they can to make your stay more comfortable. We will be back! November 27, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice stay Nicely decorated Nice staff Bathroom area a little on the small side... with the door open, was difficult to get into the closet and use the sink. Would be much better with a pocket door. March 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Friendly, helpful staff! A lovely hotel in a lovely setting. The staff was helpful with every request and made me feel welcome. It made my one night stay a very pleasant experience! November 16, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by The rooms need cleaning Shower caulk shows signs of mold Shower grout is discolored Toilet has brown rust stains The furniture has not been moved to dust The comforter had a stain VERY VERY POOR December 10, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Professional, polite staff Everyone there was very friendly and extremely helpful. The room was quite spacious and extremely clean. Couldn't have asked for a better night after travelling. November 27, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Staff is great, friendly and upbeat Staff makes this hotel worth staying in. Hotel itself is average. Bathroom shows wear and could use a redo, sound proofing and lighting are both terrible. August 4, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 Good hotel, poor execution Stayed at the Princeton Westin just before hurricane Sandy. This is our second stay, came to visit our daughter at Princeton. This hotel has all the makings to be a very good hotel, but the staff execution and management planning was obviously lacking. We were given access to the free coffee and continental breakfast on the 6th floor. There were no signs directing us to it when we exited the elevator. When we found it, it turned out to be no bigger than a closet, 5 woman in bathrobes completely filled the room, they proceeded to touch every piece of food, then broke the coffee machine. Went downstairs to the coffee bar and paid for two coffees. When we returned from our day at Princeton at 6 PM, the room had not been cleaned. Upon inquiry, they responded that we had put out our "green" card on the door – not true. So, we were invited to wait in the bar and receive a free drink. The only waiter, ignored us and only provided drinks after the front desk intervened upon our request. All of these issues could easily be solved with better management planning and execution. We'll come back, but our expectations are significantly lower. November 1, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable and Clean Overall, the experience was excellent. In the room, there was no hand soap which seemed odd, though they did provide bath gel. Otherwise, all was fine. December 12, 2011
