Rated 4 out of 5 by Anniversary Overnight We stayed here for a wedding anniversary celebration. Certainly met our expectations, but did not exceed as it was an average 4 star experience. No special feeling of being pampered, nor as a SPG; attendant at the Executive Club was hard to locate for drinks in the evening, and the breakfast eggs were dry and cold near the end of the breakfast period. Seemed to be a nice upscale "business-persons" hotel, but not for a special experience. February 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A Truly Wonderful Experience! I rented many rooms recently for the week-end of my daughter's wedding. I also held the wedding reception there. This is a wonderful property...from the top (general manager Mr. Schwartz) to the staff (with special thanks to Noelle Yount, the catering sales manager), the chef, the lobby staff, the bellman, the servers, etc...At all levels the staff did all they could possibly do to make this an incredible experience for my family...and it was! Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Westin Business Traveler's Hotel This property is a standard Westin business traveler’s property. The style is classic Westin; clean, simple and elegant. The staff are friendly and welcoming. One benefit of this property is the executive lounge. It is adequately staffed and stocked in the evening for hors d'oeuvres and for breakfast in the morning. The location is great for quick access to I64 and Hwy 250 but there are limited restaurant options within walking distance. January 13, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by My room smelled My bathroom had a foul odor. One morning we had no hot water and there was a band aid on our shower drain. Despite hanging out a do not disturb sign housekeeping knocked and though we said just a minute they walked right in anyway. There was a patch of carpet cut out in the middle of the floor. It took 3 trips to get our room service order correct and when we asked for a bucket of ice the response was "don't you have an ice bucket?" October 8, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by business center The business center has multiple computers with good speed so there's no waiting to use a computer. I would recommend to have some type of scan capability within the business center as the current system now is to have the staff scan it for you and send it to your email. I also would like to see a 3-hole punch in the room. The printer and door to business center were not reset in a.m. after a power surge in hotel the previous night. September 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent luxury for cost The Westin Richmond is truly a Westin complete with the luxury and elegance as the name calls for. I have loved everything Westin since the hotel line opened Over a decade ago. Given that I travel a lot (I stayed here as an overnight en route to Miami) I loved the Westin Richmond hotel and price. Given the cost of hotels in the Richmond area, this is well worth the extra cost. Service is great, Nicole at the from desk is fantastic! July 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 Hotel Staff The hotel staff is excellent ,they always make you feel welcome . The waiters and waitresses in the restaurant all make you feel welcome, and bring you what you ask for. I say this because , when I ask for no bread or potatoes with my eggs, they don't bring them. Many restaurants bring them anyway, which is too tempting, if you are trying not to eat those things. One suggestion is to provide a shower cap. Thank you very much. October 29, 2012
Rated 2 out of 5 by TWICE WRONG room was very nice, personnel friendly, but on checking out, i asked manager on duty to please be sure they didn't bill me incorrectly as they had done on my previous stay. he checked and said there would be no problem as to the correct billing account. i just looked at my credit card billing and it is not correct for the second time. i had to call back twice to get this corrected the last time! nice hotel, lousy accounting March 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Most Enjoyable stay. I stayed in a standard room for 2 nights and my sister had the suite for 1 night. Both were extremely comfortable and quiet. We also enjoyed the lounge and the two ladies (concierges) provided outstanding service and were very pleasant. Please pass on my appreciation to your entire staff, including the front desk and cleaning personnel. The hotel is a cut above many others and I hope you all maintain it's high standards. Rated 3 out of 5 by A little disappointed I recently stayed at this hotel for a conference. When I entered my assigned room and inspected for cleanliness, I saw hair in the bathroom sink. The staff immediately reassigned me to a new room. Overall, the customer service is great! at check in Amanda & bell man were wonderful. The beds are comfortable, nice hotel, however I question how well the rooms are cleaned. I would recommend bringing your own clorox wipes. September 22, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Solid business hotel I am traveling to this hotel regularly (including the past 4 months) and have never upgraded despite being Platinum status. The lounge and gym are average for a Westin. The location is near the highway which is convenient to driving but a car is necessary to go to any restaurants away from the Westin. The staff is friendly, and brought water to us after our workout. April 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Disappointed Pool and hot tub Both the pool and hot tub were cloudy and water needed some adjustments. We stayed 3 nights and was told on the first day that it would be attended too. Unless the staff does not know what to do, or don't have the proper chemical, I did not see any change in either. Consequently, we did not get to swim (reason why we had booked at that particular hotel). On the plus side, all other amenities are very nice. March 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent Customer Service Our stay at the Westin was great. The room was comfortable and our biggest impression was the staff. They were so customer oriented. I did not encounter one staff member in the entire hotel who was rude or anything but nice and welcoming. Our only down side was the walls. They were a little thin and the bathroom wasn't what we were expecting, but overall it was a great stay and we will definitely return. October 14, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good hotel My stay at this hotel was great. There needs to be more light in the bathroom, and even perhaps a night light somewhere in the hotel room. Very quiet at night, bedding was superb. My group had lunch on Friday which was below my expectations. The chicken was overcooked and tough with little taste. The broccoli was so overcooked it had lost its green color. Meeting rooms were adequate although very cold. October 29, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful My dog and I had a very wonderful and quiet stay here. The staff was great and were very welcoming to both of us. I ordered room service and I was very pleased with the quality of my salad, even a little surprised with how great the lettuce was. My dog especially enjoyed the Westin dog bed they provided and the dog bowls were very convenient because I forget hers! I would definitely stay here again. March 17, 2013

Fantastic welcome from Ashley.Sad to see some obvious housekeeping slip ups in this lovely property; a badly stained chaise in our room which absolutely should NOt have been missed. The kitchen turns out consistently wonderful food and the bar has an EXPERT bartender. The Club disappointed this time on a few levels. Keep the standards high, its a great property. January 1, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Hotel But... Upon check in we were told that a microwave was not an option... Although I called to specifically ask if a microwave would be an option and they said yes... Thats the only reason I booked this particular hotel cause I'm traveling with a young child... To compensate for the miscommunication I was offered an upgrade to a suite which included a microwave... For $90 extra per night... After complaining it was lowered to an extra $50 per night... We agreed because at this point we were all tired and my son had basketball game early the next morning... Once we got to the suite I started to pull the sofa bed out to make it for my son and noticed 2 blood stains on the mattress... I thought i could flip the mattress because I did not want to deal with the clerks at the front but the other side of the mattress was hard... There were also lots of crumbs and old food under the mattress... Decided to go ahead and go back downstairs and all they could tell me was that all the suites were booked so they couldn't get me another mattress... Funny thing is I went on my phone to book a suite and it seemed that there were still suites available online... So all i could do is double cover the mattress with sheets and my son just slept on top of the sheets with the comforter from our bed on top... Now the suite was actually really nice and spacious for a family of four... The rest of the hotel was also very nice... However, for me customer service is a must and because of the terrible customer service i wouldn't return... June 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by One of the best I have stayed at many Starwood properties and the staff is always exceptional. However, the team at the Westing Richmond exceeded my expectations. My wife and daughter checked in about an hour before me -- the front door clerk saw my wife pulling her bags out of the car, ran over, offered to help, then saw that my 8 month old daughter was in the car as well. He carried my daughter into the lobby for my wife, and then offered to hold her while my wife took care of check-in. My wife was thrilled to have the help, but was even more pleased to see that every member of the staff was swooning over our baby, taking pictures, and generally making her feel like the most adorable young lady in the world. For the rest of our stay, we came across staff members who had heard about our cute little girl and even knew her by name!! I can't say enough good things about the staff here and look forward to my return! October 19, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Staff incompetent We arrived Saturday morning at 2 am and asked what time breakfast served til and were told at 10 am. Having got up at 9:30 am the same day and arrived at the resturant at 9:50 am we were told they served breakfast til 3 pm. This was 5/4/13. The gym equipment was not working when used. Finally they was alot of outside noise transmitted in our room which was disruptive in terms of sleeping. May 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Business Traveler The staff is extremely polite and always thinking about how best to meet your needs. The executive lounge staff was most attentive, friendly, and helpful. A gentlemen from the Lobby gave me water bottles when he saw me dressed for the gym. I love this place and compare all the places that I stay...to this one. I can't wait to stay here again. The staff were wonderful- customer service was A+, the room and conferences rooms were perfect, the restaurant provided delicious food with many options, and the fitness room exceeded expectations for a hotel fitness room. Rated 5 out of 5 by The hotel experience at the Westin Richmond can't be beat! From the moment we arrived and until we checked out, this was a wonderful hotel. This was a girls getaway weekend. The lounge on the concierge level was great. The complimentary breakfast and late night snacks were delicious. The fitness center was clean and spacious. The staff always was trying to please and were very accomodating. No question, we would definitely stay again. November 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by EXCELLENCE THROUGHOUT THE EPITOME OF WHAT I CONSIDER TO BE A TOP NOTCH HOTEL - THE FRIENDLINESS OF THE STAFF, THE AMENITIES AND THE CLEANLINESS ARE IMPECCABLE. I CANNOT FIND ONE FAULT WITH THIS PROPERTY. THE CLUB LOUNGE OFFERS FARE THAT IS A CUT ABOVE THE AVERAGE. WHAT ALSO WORKS FOR ME IS HAVING A FITNESS CENTER WHERE ONE ACTUALLY HAS ROOM AND SPACE TO WORK OUT IN - IT IS NOT AN AFTERTHOUGHT! July 29, 2012

The staff is always friendly and ready to help, the building is always clean and I love the simple pleasure of a cool glass of water waiting for all guests just outside the lobby elevator. Rated 5 out of 5 by This hotel makes you feel like Royalty! This is my second time staying at the Westin in Richmond. I thought I had a wonderful experience the first time, but this time was even greater! From the moment I drove up to the minute I drove away, I was taken carry of. Nothing was a hassle and my every need was met. I will be bringing my Mom to relax once she has her surgery. March 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mrs. I would highly recommend this hotel. Hotel staff was extremely friendly, helpful and outgoing. The beds were so comfortable, could have stayed in bed all day! The overall experience was wonderful, wish we had more time to stay. We will definitely return to this hotel for any future trips to Richmond. April 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beyond my Expectations This was the first time I had ever stayed at a Westin Hotel and my stay exceeded my expectations. The staff, my room and the spacious bathroom was terrific but it was truly the attention to details that impressed me. The makeup mirror and the fact that the mats in the elevator said Good Morning, Good Afternoon and Good Evening. I will definitely stay here again! March 5, 2013
