Came down from QLD for Top Gear Festival and while my son and I went to look at cars, the ladies in the family went shopping. Westin Sydney was terrific. Great location right in the CBD, 50m from Pitt st Mall. Staff were very attentive, and my rooms, although not requested, were side by side!!! Breakfast was terrific with good selection of healthy options as well as the old favourites. My first time in this Westin, and it lived up to my expectations after experiencing the Melbourne property. Great work to all the staff. We will be back.

Facility & location excellent. Hotel staff wonderful helpful and really go the extra mile.
Lobby bar was disappointing for value for money, don't cater for groups larger than 4 there were 7 & upto 10 wanting to share the days experiences & after staying at the hotel for 7 days it was disappointing that we were reluctantly going to our hotel for a drink & catchup. Closing at 12 never understood that concept especially when we are in a major city??? Hence went elsewhere only hotel ever done that sadly explaining to our international guests about needing to milk our cows early morning.
Yes will come back to stay not to celebrate life. Every other hotel overseas was different in that respect.
You do have great staff & great service in all other aspects.

This is my second visit to Westin Sydney, I am hoping to make this an annual event as I have been coming over for the Sydney marathon each year. The staff are very professional and friendly. The decor of the rooms, and especially the design of the bathrooms are a good example of a truly worthy five star rating. The clock tower certainly makes for a fantastic and unique view for the hotel compared to other hotels of this standard in Australia. Hoping to be back again next year for the Sydney marathon (well organised event).

We stayed for the enening and booked with little notice.
The rate was rather high at AUD520 per night for a room that i would normally see advertised for around the high $300's
We were upgraded on arrival which was nice and took a little of the "sting" off after paying such a high price.
Beds are AMAZING .. by far the Westin beds are the best of all the mainline hotel chains !!
Staff, as always are wonderful and many other 5* hotels in Australia could learn a thing or two about customer service from these guys at the Westin Sydney

Looking forward to a night away at the Westin Sydney, I decided to use my Star Privilege and get a delayed check-out. On checking out the next day however I was shocked to find that I was being charged for 2 nights' parking ($65/night) as I had exceeded the 24 hours limit. At no stage had Valet parking of the hotel or Concierge or anyone informed me of the charges. I have since contacted the Manager of the Westin Sydney who states that it is not the responsibility of the hotel to inform the guest of the charges. Very disappointing!!

Fantastic location and loved the Tower rooms. Guest rooms are new with comfortable and functional layout.
The dining options are somewhat confusing with the hotel layout- the lobby in particular. I did not realize the basement had dining options and thought it was just for conferences. Some people may gripe about breakfast buffet pricing, but Sydney breakfast is ridiculously expensive - so the buffet rate is on par with other breakfast options in the city. The Westin buffet is by far the most extensive and convenient option.

Loved it so much that I extended our stay twice and came back after visiting New Zealand for a week. Room upgrade was wonderful, very large, comfortable. Knowledgeable, friendly staff from concierge to front desk to maids and hotel engineer, everyone is committed to superior service. We did not dine here, but used the business center often for the free internet for emailing. Met a guest from Brisbane who claims he always stays here for the location and comfort. I can't imagine coming back to Sydney and staying anywhere else!

This is the second time I've stayed at the Westin Sydney and fallen ill. The atmosphere in the room is incredibly dry, I suspect from shoddy air conditioning. Tried to move to a room with a window or balcony but was told there aren't any available. The bathroom is also susceptible to flooding. Shower design is terrible. For one of the most expensive hotels in Sydney, the conditions are very poor. Good location. Breakfast is good but over priced...they even charged me extra for a second coffee!! Doubt I'll stay there again.

I really appreciate the room upgrade for my daughter who is going to school in Australia. The only thing better than an upgrade is an upgrade for your much loved children. They had a fabulous time and really enjoyed the views and amenities.

We've stayed at the Westin a few times now and I can safely say it is the only hotel we will now stay in Sydney. We are always greeted with a smile at the door, valet parking easy and In our last stay we were upgraded to a stunning room- we were devastated we had to leave at 5am the next morning!! The time before we were given the wrong room, but the staff were so quick to move us to the next one we were really impressed! We never want to leave when we stay at the Westin and can recommend it to anyone staying in Sydney !

I'd like to thank the staff of this fantastic hotel, after a late flight with no sleep, had such an early check-in, one would not think it possible. The room was superb, comfort, design , the bathroom, well perfect. . I travel so often staying in so many hotels, i usually stay in another hotel in Sydney, but i have found my home from home. Thank you for the service, you need a compliment better than i can write, but hope people understand the value of a nice establishment. See you in four weeks and for many years coming.

I arrived at the Reception desk on the monring of Thursday May 29th to check into my booked room and was told I had slept there on the Wednesday night and was due to check out on Thursday May 29th. I explained I had not styed there on the Wednesday night. The resception clerk disputed my story and it wasn't until I spoke to the manager that my situation was resolved. The implication was that I mad it all up

Very disappointed that a room reservation that we made over six months ago (for a special 40th wedding anniversary vacation to Sydney) was changed and we were given a different room than was listed on our guaranteed reservation; due to a preference for a large convention group staying at this hotel. Beware if you are just an ordinary Starwood member, you can get your guaranteed room changed without any concern by the hotel management. I asked for an explanation by the General Manger and did not receive any response.

This is a beautiful hotel with excellent decor , comfortable beds and spacious , well appointed rooms. The position of the hotel close to restaurants and shops is wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast at the hotel too.

The executive lounge in the evening was not good. No hot canapes only crackers and cheese and a few other little things. It was very disappointing. In the morning breakfast and staff outdone the evening, was fantastic and lots of variety. Hotel beautiful and rooms comfy.

I knew there is a reason why I am Platinum elsewhere and continue to prefer that brand. I am not sure I could deal with a hotel like this one that has a policy where they can pretty much enter your room whenever they feel like it and ignore the "Do Not Disturb" sign. I think I can speak for a lot of global business travelers who may have to work odd hours and sometimes need a full day of peace and quiet. Well Jodie Frakes and this hotel basically states that they need to enter your room every day to service your room regardless of what your wishes are. This is something I have NEVER had to deal with across all of my global travels. I have already insured that future company travelers coming to Sydney will be staying FAR away from this hotel thanks to Jodie Frakes and their terrible customer service.

The idea was for my sister and I to finish our business in Sydney, have a quick dinner and instead of driving 2.5hrs home, stay in a comfortable hotel, relax, watch a movie and enjoy. After eating and coming back to the room about 8.45 we figured out the Movie system did not work, at about 10.45 we had to finally kicking out the technician and say it just isn't going to work. He kindly said we could change rooms but by this time the evening was over, the relaxation gone. A real disappointment.

we were given the option to upgrade to an executive suite which gave us access to the club lounge & we took up the offer --after 1 night we declined the club lounge as we did not feel it was of any value compared to the many other club lounges we have been to world wide & unfortunately we had to change rooms to the heritage room with a rock hard bed which was most uncomfortable. as we have stayed at the Westin Sydney many times & a Gold member I would have thought a better room would have been offered.

We found this hotel to be exceptional. Top rated room, very clean and attentive staff. We would recommend this hotel. Arrived at 7:30 am and our room was ready within an hour and half. Even though our room faced a big clock and tower, the chimes stop at 9 pm and are quiet all night and early morning. Very quiet room.
