Hotel computer system was down when I checked out. They did not give me my star wood points. They have my first first name incorrect. And to top it all off they charged me four nights stay when I was only their for three.

Computers were down for 5 days and complete and total choas ensued. waiting 8 hours for a room to become available and on top of that many of the employees had the "sucks for you but nothing we can do" attitude. DONT GO!

The worst, and totally unavoidable, part of the hotel is the "lobby" which isn't a lobby, but a casino, and boy does it stink! When we arrived at the hotel and I walked through the front door I was confused. Had I missed the main entrance? I wasn't looking for their casino. Where was the check-in desk? I kept walking and thought, "What a bummer that to get to the main lobby you have to walk through a grungy casino that smells like an old ash tray that's been sitting in the apartment of an old man that always wears too much colon." I later learned that the way they try to counter the ancient smoke smell is to have small, motion detecting "fragrance" dispensers on a number of the walls in the "lobby" area. I hated coming into and leaving the hotel.
The staff were excellent and that helped balance the experience out. But, there were other disssapointments: A number of floors have been renovated, but many haven't, and they're tired and unattractive.
A flat screen HD TV, but with no digital HD channels to view?! Bottomline? I found it hard to believe I was at a Westin.

The room was dirt when I walked in (hair on the bed and Oreo cookies on the floor). When I let the staff know, they responded with a simple okay…not I’m sorry I’ll take care of that. Overall, need some freshening up.

Overall quality was Westin Standard. The rooms were quiet and very comfortable. Exercise facility is getting worn out and needs updating. Food was very good and the Casino was fair. Will stay there again.

The hotel is very nice bu the smell of smoke is so strong in the lobby due to the casino. I hated walking through it on my way out the door as I felt like I smelled. Can anyone turn on the fan?

This is a very tired Westin property. Off the strip, brown drab and not classy. The only good thing in the room is the traditional Westin Bed. I pass and stay at one of the classy strip hotels

In the shadow of the massive Casino Hotels the Westin is quietly pleasant.
The one significant deficiency is the lack of an excellent dining experience. Suede is only very average.

In more than 50 years of world wide business travel the THE WESTIN LAS VEGAS HOTEL, CASINO & SPA was one of my worst hotel experiences ever.
My first impression as I walked into the hotel was of a smoky, dirty uninviting lobby. Next was being told they had no record of my reservation by the unhelpful reception staff. When I showed them my confirmation they relented and said they might be able to find me a room. One and a half hours later they had a room ready for me. It was bare minimum for a large hotel chain. Noisy and less than comfortable.
During my three day stay the housekeeping service appeared only once.
When I checked out the reception clerk said she could not provide me with a receipt because their computers were down. I asked when she expected them to be up again she said she didn't know but they had been down for five days and she would email it to me as soon as they were up again. Four days have passed since then without a receipt yet. My business expense report is on hold until the Westin Las Vegas gets there act together.
My stay amounted to nothing but a lot of aggravation. NOT RECOMMENDED.

If you are coming to Las Vegas for either buisness or pleasure or both this is a great location. Two blocks from the middle of the Strip. Great staff and I believe pet friendly.

I was disappointed with my stay. My room was worn. The wall paper coming off of the walls, the toilet paper holder coming away from the wall. My telephone didnt work. I had a hard time getting service from the front desk and I never talked to the same person twice about my needs. Suade told me they were too busy to serve me carry out food on my first challenging night at the hotel. The lobby, casino, bar tenders, waitressing staff, public restrooms, premises, front door peoples, beds, and conference amenities were good. I did enjoy the happy hour one evening. But all in all, I found the room service to be very expensive. The hotel was about 2 blocks from the strip and as a single woman I wouldnt walk there alone. Fortunately, I met some nice people and we ventured out together. Unfortunately, adding salt to my wounds, after recieving my bill and checking out, my credit card was charged extra charges...and Im waiting to have that money credited to my account. I have been to Vegas 4 times and this was my least favorite spot to stay. But the bed was awesome. I just didnt get the customer service that I enjoy on my trips.

This is an older hotel and updated. Still comfortable and nice. Average hotel my rating a 3 star. Employees seem nice and helpful. I will return in the future.

The water bottles in the rooms for $4.00 each is robbery. They are the smallest bottles and I would never pay $4.00 for a little drink of water.

Hotel was ok. Rooms are very small. One nuisance fee: $11.50 charge for use of pool, gym, parking, none of which I used. Charge is "mandatory".

The night staff at the restaurant at this hotel is very unprofessional. The waiter was obviously not happy with his job. That was late on Tuesday night 01/22/14
The lunch waitress is very nice and attentive.
At the time of reservation we were told that internet in the room was available at no charge. In our bill they added $19.99 per day for facility fees. When we questioned; the front desk told us it was for internet services and use of the pool (in the winter???).

"All rooms are guaranteed to sleep the number of guests you provided during your search, but we cannot guarantee the number of beds. " Per my Expedia email.
They DID NOT have enough beds for 3 people. A rollaway was brought in and took up too much room to be able to use the room much. They could not help with the sleeping arrangements because this was a "Third Party" reservation. He said he would waive the Resort Fees but they showed up on my bill. Also, had GREAT difficulty in getting cups/glasses for the three of us. Got two.
The Resort Fees are a joke. There is no landscaping etc. Its a building with a Casino and a parking lot. No charge for Casino goers to park in lot...Definitely not a Resort! Spa is available for a charge. Two very small water bottles per day. Again, nothing for the third person.
The wallpaper was curling in the bathroom. There were black floating things in the coffee maker, despite my repeated efforts to clean it. Someone's long black hair was in the bathroom from the time we got there. The room was plain. The hallways plain. It resembled more of a no-tell motel. (The casino/check in area was refined.) Not a four star. Will never stay here again.
