I stay at this hotel at least once a year. Almost everytime I have an issue. This time it was with house keeping. One morning while my son and I were getting ready house keeping comes in with out knocking on the door. The next morning I put the do not disturb sign on the door and once again house keeping tries to enter again.

We were on vacation and wanted to have some refreshments at the atrium bar. The bartending staff was not friendly and seem inconvenienced despite the fact that our bar bill was over $80.00. The drinks themselves were decent but there was not a lot of above and beyond customer service as I would expect a Westin hotel to have.

The room and staff were very nice. The only problem I had with the room was the lighting, there wasn't enough (none by the full length mirror) and the switches on the lamps were random. The wall switch should turn on more lights when you walk in. The chair table didn't match decor at all, looked like it was bought from IKEA?

Between the dogs barking and the people yelling across the balcony at each other into the late night, would not recommend staying unless you want to party all night.
Not good for babies that need to sleep.
No information in rooms about anything and where to even find information.
Cleaning lady was wonderful and very helpful.

We were traveling to South Bend and try to use this hotel as our rest stop for the night. It is an easy exit from the highway and always a quick check-in. Our upgraded room was clean and comfortable. We arrived at midnight and did not use any of the other facilities. This hotel has to be the best value in the Chicago area.

I was not pleased when I arrived and found out that there is no lounge for Platinum members and the ice machine on the 10th floor was broken. However, the staff fixed the ice machine because it is under their control and made me feel welcome. I got over the lounge due to the warmth of the staff.

Beautiiful interior...great food at the bar and at breakfast. Shula's terrific. Fitness center has a gorgeous sunrise view of the city as is clean with plenty of equipment. Rooms are nicely appointed, clean, and roomy. Staff greated me by name and saw to my every need. Hope to stay there again my next ime in the area.

The physical facility is very nice and the desk staff were accommodating. The breakfast area was atrocious. Low quality food was offered at unreasonable prices. The sleeping rooms were stuffy and uncomfortable, as the air conditioning system had been turned off. Hot water in the lavatory in the mornings was non existent.

This hotel was beautiful! The only hard part was relying on elevators. There are four, but when our large group took over the hotel, it got congested around the elevator bank.
Other than that, the facilities are beautiful, the atrium is grand, and the rooms are so comfortable! The food and the wait staff are impressive!

Samantha was wonderful to work with. She helped us plan a perfect reception. Everyone raved about the decor (we were in the tent), food, staff, and overall feel of the evening! It was a fantastic venue. The discounted rate for the block of rooms they reserved for us was a great deal!

The overall property was beautiful and I enjoyed my stay. The only issue I had was the cleanliness of my particular room. There was a large stain in the carpet. I mentioned it and it was dismissed. I was planning on staying at a Westin in October. I assume this is an isolated issue and would probably go back again.

The air-condition in my room was not satisfactory. It was hot.
The noise from the atrium was a bit loud, event after 11PM.

I thought the hotel staff was excellent. I have one complaint. It sounded like there was a generator running outside my hotel room. the air system was located inside the atrium on the twelvth floor so maybe that was the issue.

My family had stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and all was happy and satisfied.The hotel is beautiful and the people were friendly and helpful. Everything ran very smoothly on the trip. Complimentary bottles of water were thoughtful, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable.Look forward to staying there again!

It is one of the most beautiful hotel I stayed at. However, it would be much better, if you had small shops selling coffee, snacks and take out food within walking distance. Otherwise, this is a wonderful hotel and great service.

I love staying at this hotel, but Saturday night was a nightmare. The other hotel guests we so noisy and we were awaken several times during the night, this has never happened in the many times that we have stay at this location. The noise woke up my grandson whom is two and we had a mess on our hands.

The accomodations were very nice and comfortable, but I was disappointed by the breakfast buffet. The food was tasteless and cold and the prices were way too high. I was also disappointed that breakfast was served in the bar rather than the hotel restaurant. The tables were too small to eat comfortably.

It was a great room and the beds are wonderful! The staff is extremely attentive. However, be careful if you book during a conference. Parking is limited and it took almost an hour to find a spot in the remote back lot!

I spent the weekend at the hotel for a wedding; Several venues throughout the hotel were used and all were lovely and appropriate. The Indian food prepared for meals on Friday and Saturday were delicious!
I was impressed that the hotel hosted two Hindu weddings and a Bar Mitzvah on the same weekend!!!!

I had a wonderful time at this hotel. The staff was friendly, courteous and helpful. The room was clean and the air quality is so good I left feeling wonderful! The showers are also so refreshing! The room is also big enough that you can stretch out and exercise and even invite someone to sit and talk!

The overall experience was really good. However, having a cooling box instead of a refrigerator in the room was disappointing and useless. Their Shula's Restaurant is way too pricey and virtually empty of customers. A steakhouse a mile and a half away was much more reasonable and quite good.

Overall I thought that this hotel did a fantastic job. They were able to extend both an early check in as well as a late check out to me and my team which was greatly appreciated. The one issue I had was with the green program. The front desk agent that checked all of us in with the exception of one person did not mention this program. We found out about it because we happened to overhear the other agent who checked in one of our team. All of us put on our do not disturb sign so we would not have our rooms cleaned and get new towels. When I called after I received my folio via e-mail I was told about the special sign and told that unless you had that sign you did not qualify for the program. If we had known about the sign we all certainly would have used them rather than the do not disturb sign. It was a little disappointing to find out that we were unable to qualify or that once we checked out that there was not anything that could be done. This issue aside, I had a fantastic stay. The hotel did a fabulous job hosting this conference. It's certainly not easy to host an entire hotel filled with hoteliers.

It was very noisy with parties going on each day until about midnight. The climate control system in the room did not work at all. I set the temperature to 60°, but it never went below 70 or 71. I cannot sleep, when is that hot. And why do you have a refrigerator that doesn't work in each room.

We stayed at the hotel for a show it was hosting and were delighted to be welcomed by the staff and staying in a lovely room. The hotel is close to forest preserves that are good for birding and hiking and biking outdoors. The large white tent, lakeside, looks like a lovely venue for a reception.

The room, bed and hotel in general is very nice. My gripe is that, for the price, WIFI should be included in the room and I should not have been charged a "package handling fee" for them to receive my luggage (I shipped it ahead of my arrival). A continental breakfast would have been nice too.

Hotel has gone down hill since our last visit two years ago. Carpeting dirty, non-guests loitering in lobby, unfriendly bar staff. My parents' room was even worse with a broken air conditioner that was never fixed. Would not recommend - very shocking for a Westin.

The staff were very helpful when I checked in along with offering my wife and myself a complimentary buffet breakfast when they found out we were staying at the Westin for our anniversary. The room was very nice and the buffet the next morning was very good. We plan on staying there again.

This is a nice facility, however the stay did not go well. First morning no wake up call and no power, showered in the dark and late for meeting. Second morning no hot water, called front desk, they would take care of it. 20 minutes later took a two minute luke warm shower, late again.

I was very impressed with the area and the friendliness of the staff. The rooms were very spacious and the the beds were like sleeping on a cloud. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that would want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The fitness center is superb!!!!!!!
