Nice hotel that is close to the Las Vegas strip so you can walk there but also far enough away to get away from it.

I am very pleasantly surprised how wonderful the Westin Las Vegas hotel. It is smoke-free and smells so great! The staff was wonderful too.

I had a good experience with Westin overall. However, my key card was canceled and had to be reissued twice during my stay. This would be just a minor inconvenience except that the last time, it was the morning I was checking out of my hotel. I was going back up to my room to pack quickly and go to the airport and was unable to get in. The concierge was unable to reinstate it right there and basically told me to go upstairs and wait for someone to let me in my room. Well, I really needed to get going. When he was not there within a few minutes, I had to come down and ask a manager to send someone up with me to get into the room. The manager was agreeable and the man who came up was very nice, but this took longer than it had to. I didn't want to miss my flight!
I ultimately got to the airport in time and all was fine, but I didn't get to check around the room for last-minute details as I would normally have done. I do believe I left a phone charger there. It's not a big deal, but some little things become big things when you're in a time crunch.
You should 1) be mindful of people's timetables when they are traveling and be quicker on problem solving and customer service. .
2) improve your key card system.
Overall I was very happy with the Westin. Thank you!

We weren't able to check in, in a timely manner and missed a portion of the show we had scheduled. And also the hot water went out.

Staff went out of there way to make us feel welcome. Food and drinks were great. Eat at the restaurant and try the Chicken Chili.

The staff was attentive, friendly, and professional. We were granted a late checkout when our departing flight was delayed. A concern with the thermostat was addressed promptly after contacting the desk. In addition, the concierge assisted us in booking tours and shows around our hectic convention schedule.
The room and linens were clean and met my expectations. My only quibbles with the accommodations were a lack of venting in the bathroom, rusted shower fixtures, and the absence of a micro-fridge.
The gym would be more appropriately titled as a cardio room. This may save some disappointment from travelers that had intentions of completing strength training during their stay, namely my husband. The addition of a few benches could make the available set of dumbbells more versatile.
The breakfast buffet was excellent, albeit pricey, and provided an assortment of fresh fruit among other options.
My only disappointment with the hotel was that smoking was allowed on the casino floor and in the bar, which you must pass through to access any of the hotel amenities, including your room. The non-smoking policy is my primary reason for choosing Westin hotels.
