This property is great. Always efficient check in, nice toom etc.
Problem with SPG is getting my crossover Status into systems at properties. Always have to argue out free internet.

As a Starwood Preferred Guest, I really expected our 3 pm check-in time to be honored. Instead, we were told our room was not yet ready and it was 4:30 pm before we were allowed to check-in! Strike one. Upon entering our room, I found a dirty black sock under the desk. Eww. Strike two. I called and requested a refrigerator and was told there were none available. Out. But it goes on... We actually discovered what looked like a refrigerator in the cabinet and proceeded to pull the dresser out so we could plug it in. The light came on but it never cooled. We also had to plug in the TV which showed only messed up colors and would not work. We unplugged it. This is the third year we have attended a conference at the Westin BWI and have always been tickled to be there. The beds and bedding are very comfortable!! After the conference, we stay an extra night and enjoy the pool and hot tub. The free shuttle service to local restaurants is a great amenity. The meeting and event facilities are great and the lunch that was served was outstanding. Overall, my feedback is that Housekeeping Needs Help!

Short and sweet. Solid choice hotel. Great staff, good food, awesome location. I have spent many nights around BWI, I will be returning to this hotel whenever possible. I highly recommend for business and those highly infrequent romantic getaways. I doubt I would use it for family travel, simply because there is really nothing close by. I will be back!

Our stay at the Westin was not planned, due to a big snow storm my daughter's flight to California was cancelled and we needed a place to stay the night. I found the Westin had a few rooms available so, we jumped at the chance to stay in a highly recommended hotel with an indoor pool and on site dining. The room was beautiful, and we enjoyed the pool. We were charged 2 wifi connection fees for one room, which was corrected but a hassle. The worst part of our stay was the dining. The staff was not attentive, they were unkind. We had to ask to be seated after a 10 minute wait with no one ahead of us and plenty of empty tables. We had to ask to order after our server walked by us at least 5 times. Our food was good but, our server took my plate away without asking if I even wanted a box! I had half of a burger left. I was greatly disappointed. We didnt even stay for breakfast because I saw it was the same server there at the host stand. It made a tough situation worse, and when I tried to tell the front desk the next day, he dismissed it and started to talk to the person next to him while I was in mid-sentence. Not great service but the property is beautiful.

We were very tired , very stressed and had to change airports at the last minute under difficult snowy conditions. Your reception staff on the night of our arrival and on the morning of our departure were unfailing pleasant and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we got where we needed to be .
We would definitely stay here again

Over all experience was ok to good. price for the room was great for the area. club level room was great. club lounge was not realy a lounge. couple bags of pretzels, granola bar, and some soda. A little offended at the bar staff. i met some friends at the bar. I didn't even make it fully into the bar. had a redbull in a glass of ice when i came down from my room. i was asked to leave the bar with my drink. after that it was still difficult to get a drink from the bartender. very over priced drinks.
the breakfast buffet is just ok. you can go to Bob E around the corner and get better food at a better price.
the "incidental charges are rediculousl Incidentals per night where more than the actual room charge per night. Nothing was charged to the room, but be prepared to initialy pay 2 1/2 times your rate. my room was $100 per night, incidentals was 140 per night on top of that. (yes i will get that back, but that's not he point)

I have stayed here many times and the hotel is very nice and the staff generally very pleasant and welcoming. The rooms are extremely comfortable and rather large. I recently had an iffy experience with dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. The dinner was marred by service that was inept and haphazard. The food is rather expensive and so are the drinks so you would expect service to be exceptional. That was not the case. Although the restaurant had only 4 tables when we arrived and 2 wait staff were working, it took forever to get our drinks and appetizers. When the entrees arrived no one had bothered to clear the table of the empty appetizer dishes. The staff with dinner plates in hand waited for us to move our plates to make room for the entrees. No bread or butter was offered. We overheard at an other table that they do not offer it but we saw a table with rolls and butter. We ordered desert and it took 20 minutes. It was amateur hour at this restaurant. Dinner was very expensive at $20 plus per entree and $10 plus per appetizer. A martini cost $14. At breakfast the buffet food was not very warm, though the selection of food was quite good.

overall we had a good experience, but the hotel was remarkably understaffed. the restaurant could not handle its business on friday evening -- we waited nearly an hour for food for dinner. room service also took nearly an hour for lunch the next day. also you should not have breakfast order hangtags in rooms that say breakfast can be delivered at 6 if the service doesnt start until 7. slight moldy smell in bathroom.

Had to wait 2hrs for a room, staff didn't apologize had to call spg. Too get a room
Staff never apologize for the inconvenience .
The heat wouldn't go down below 75 degree woke up sweating couldn't go back to sleep.

I would like the management to recognize an outstanding employee Megan. On a past stay she was so kind to me. I had an ear infection and was badly in need of medical care. She went completely out of her way to help me. Thanks again Megan! Kudos to your kindness and professionalism. Megan works the front desk diligently and caters to the needs of the guest. I stay here often when in the area. Fran in the Concierge Lounge is great in evenings and always so considerate. It's year end and I need to give her a shout out!
Check -in was "ho-hum" and asking for my printed receipt at check-out was the same.
Not much energy at the Front Desk.

First, I knew the WESTIN BWI experience was going to be dreadful when I was informed upon checking in I could not have a room on the 7th floor, Executive Club Level (ECL), although I resversed a king room on the ECL 7th floor one week prior. Had I known my reserved room would not be available, I would not have stayed in WESTIN BWI; or, had I been contacted prior to my arrival my reservation could not be honored, I could have made arrangements for a king room on another floor. Instead, I was assigned a room on the third floor that had greasey fingerprints on the ceiling, the carport is in poor condition, 2 uncomfortable double beds, when one flushed the toilet it vented through the bath tub/shower drain, the shower curtain was of insufficiant length and width (too short and not wide enough) the refrigerator did not get cold and shuttle buses, WESTIN and Northrop Grumman, blocked the entrance to the loading and drop off area of the hotel.
I am very displeased with WESTIN BWI. Management needs to get out and about throughout the rooms to ensure they are each in excellent condition, ensure the room reserved is what one receives when one checks in and ensure Shuttle buses collect and discharge passangers only and not block the loading/discharge zone.

Arrived at 9:15PM and found no soap in room. Stopped by front desk and asked for two bars and would stop by after dinner for the soap. !0:15 PM front desk said no soap was found and housekeeping would have to bring some. After an 8 hour travel from West Coast waited only ten more minutes and called front desk to cancel request as I was not in the mood to wait for my soap to arrive. Shampoo for soap is not exactly the way to end a long travel day. Come on man. By the way no soap hanging on door next morning, shampoo to start the day. Come on man.

The BWI Westin is a very nice hotel but I have a problem with the services provided. I paid extra to be on the Executive Club Floor which would have provided access to the Executive Club that would have included free internet access; among other amenities. However, during my stay the Executive Club was not open requiring me to pay for internet access and no club to relax in. I am not sure if I will stay at Westin again if I am paying for amenities that are not available during my stay.

I have stayed at your hotel previously so was shocked by this visit. When I went to shower, I found the soap and shampoo has been previously used and it appeared that the bathroom had not been turned over. I wondered if the rest of the room had not been turned over either. I spoke with a manager who appreciated my feedback but did not even offer any sort of compensation for having stayed in a used room. Very poor customer service if you ask me.

I was surprised by how nice (and modern) my room was. There is a full, open gym along with pool area. There isn't a lot around the location as that's where many hotels around BWI are located. Plenty of parking, quick check in and decent breakfast options. Overall it was much nicer then I expected for the discounted price I paid. I'll stay there again if I'm in the area.

Honestly, I'm pretty close to Lifetime Platinum, so I've stayed in a ton of hotels, and I’m rarely surprised/delighted.
The Westin BWI surprised me, not with anything over the top or outlandish, but with a simple, relentless focus on nailing the small details and slightly exceeding expectations at every turn:
• The shuttle driver was polite and naturally conversational—nothing was forced.
• Check-in was smooth and friendly.
• The room was clean and nice.
• The Club Lounge was open and inviting, and the food was surprisingly exceptional, both in the evening and at breakfast.
• My group’s meeting space was large and had some unexpected features.
• The lunches were exceptional, complete with sizzling hot plates and beautifully presented sides.
Westin BWI is not an exceptional experience because the team tries to provide some sort of over-the-top service. They just do the right things right, and I thoroughly appreciated that.

The meeting I attended at the hotel was run seamlessly by the staff and it was a wonderful experience.
On the surface, the room was beautiful and clean.
All the lamps were unplugged so I was crawling on the floor looking for cords and outlets so I could have light.
The refrigerator never got cold.
The toilet seat slipped sideways.
Instead of a heavenly mattress, one of the beds had a plastic cover on it with a sheet on top. Never in all my years of travel did I encounter that!
I firmly believe this was just a blip and that my experience is not the norm.

This Westin staff is exceptional. Great place for interviews.
On my last visit I booked on line but did not complete the process and did not have a room. The young women at the desk was exceptionally courteous and just plain patient with a weary traveler. Great property and wonderfully friendly people

Not even close to the best Westin I've ever stayed at. Housekeeping staff rarely serviced the room prior to my return in the early evening. Club lounge is a joke. Bar staff not friendly or attentive.

Shower did not work in the room. Daughter was taking a shower and the drain was all backed up. Had to wait for over 1/2 hour for staff to come. This was a real inconvenience as we were late for our appointment.

The hotel staff are all very nice, and the food was delicious. But the entire time I was there I felt like I was in a cave! It is so dark. I turned on all the lights in my room and ti was still dark. Having dark walls and dark brown carpet doesn't help. To make it worse, the guest rooms don't have any good mirrors with lighting. There's a full length mirror in the room, but no light specifically by that mirror. The lighting in the bathroom is low, plus the mirror is far away from where you stand. Also, the lighting in the bathrooms by the meetings rooms was also horrible. Seriously felt like I was in a cave the entire time I was there.

This hotel is not something Westin should be proud of. I stayed for six days starting on September 18th and departed on September 24th. The first two days were fine but starting on the weekend things went downhill fast.
On Saturday my room was not touched all day. I came back to dirty towels still not collected, bed unmade, trash not collected etc. Not something you want to see after a long day. I called down to the front desk and they said they would send someone up immediately. After 30 minutes I went down to the front desk and asked for towels and told them no one had been up to take care of things. They said they were sorry, gave me towels and that was that. 15 minutes later the housekeeper came and said she was eating when she got the call. She proceeded to ask me to empty out the coffee maker and hand her the trash. She then took the dirty towels and placed them on the cart with a pile of clean towels. Ewww! Somehow discarded furniture appeared in the hallway with chair pillows thrown on top. That remained in the hall until Monday afternoon. Dirty trays from room service were also left in the hall for two days. It's was like the staff left for the weekend and didn't return to work until Monday afternoon. (I actually took pictures of the discarded furniture etc. because I knew a picture speaks louder) I forgot to mention I was staying on the 7th floor which is Club Level. The Club Level lounge was piled high with dirty plates and utensils and tables were left uncleared. All in all, I felt like I was in a two star hotel. I voiced my concerns at check-out and they did offer me points. I declined. The staff at this hotel are just taking up space if you ask me. Westin Corporate....do something please!!!!!
