A beautiful resort, but...We were offered the option of a better view or to be closer to conference rooms. We chose the view and were assigned to room 459-F, a ground floor room where our patio looked out into the underbrush. There was a very limited view of a main road and traffic. Looking to the right of our patio was some sort of an animal trap. This would have been much more acceptable had we not been offered a room with a "better" view. The rooms were nice enough, but Housekeeping was very disappointing. The ice bucket and dirty glasses were left unaddressed one day, facial tissues were left empty, and our toiletries weren't replenished the same day. We were left to squeeze two thin soap bars together. It seemed petty to call and ask for soap, so we made do with what we had. The kicker though was my first shower. The wand was pointed toward the shower door so when it was turned on it drenched me, the toilet and that corner of the bathroom. Disappointing to say the least.

We had been here 15 years ago. Hotel has been renovated, but staff needs customer service training. Very unfriendly. Sunday brunch price was exorbitant so we didn't eat one more meal at hotel. Resort fees and taxes add over $50 per night. Fitness facility is lacking. Wouldn't stay here again.

My wife and I visited the Westin La Paloma for 8 nights in March for a golfing getaway. We have stayed at this hotel many times and I was really looking forward to this visit following some surgery. We had another wonderful stay and Rob and his front desk team once again did a great job responding to any of our needs.
Our room overlooked the golf course and had nice views of the course and the spectacular Tucson sunsets. The new renovations completed a year ago have really taken this resort up a level. The rooms are large by hotel standards and all have balconies or patios, providing a great spot to enjoy Tucson’s wonderful weather.
The Westin La Paloma has a lot to offer with one pool and hot tub area for families and another pool and hot tub for adults. There is also a health club facility, tennis courts and twenty seven holes of golf at the La Paloma Country Club. You could really spend your entire vacation without leaving the resort if you wanted to. One warning, if you have mobility issues the size of the resort can be a challenge in terms of getting around, but it is easy to call for golf carts if needed.
There are also a number restaurant options. We had lunch every day at the pool and dinners at Azul and the Country Club and enjoyed all three. All offer great views of the Santa Catalina mountains while dining.
We had another get stay and plan to be back to the Westin for our next visit to Tucson.

This was a very peaceful place to stay. Unfortunately, they offer "go green" to help with cleaning the rooms each day and that holds up the incoming customers as we waited for over an hour for our room. Other than that, this was a great place to stay and all is well with me and my family recommended this resort.

My wife and I love spending time here!! This is our favorite place to take a "State-cation". Beautiful scenery, relaxing atmosphere and very friendly and hard working staff dedicated to make all of the customers happy! The main bar is the best place to hangout! Ask for Sal....

I stayed at this resort recently for close to three weeks. I was traveling for work and regrettably unable to fully enjoy the resort. The grounds are beautiful, rooms are great (very spa-like) and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful.

I arrived at this resort one day prior to my conference. My husband and I were able to enjoy the gym, which met both of our needs. We are looking forward to a return trip next year. I enjoyed going to the adult pool where I was able to relax with others that wanting the same thing, too.

One of the most beautiful properties we've stayed at. It had been some time since our last visit and the remodeled rooms and grounds are beautiful. However, we did miss having the quail outside our room! Not a single sighting either mornings. Did you guys not renew their contract? ;)

Room did not have room-service menu. Took 30 mins to get one. Finally got our food, and order was wrong. Upon checkout, rate was not what was quoted, which required extra 10 mins to sort out.
La Paloma thinks it wants to be high end, but does not know how to be more than average.

I was warmly greated and checked in by Jose Flores and was so grateful to have such exemplary customer service.
The resort is absolutely beautiful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The pools and grounds are spectacular. I had one of the best staycations ever.

The pool was great, it had a slide and a swim up bar! The food was very good, well prepared. Our room was very clean, only one robe for some reason. shower head was cool. Toilet is not designed for short people at all. The staff was very nice and easily available if needed.

It had been several years since we stayed at Las Paloma, but they actually remembered us well.
As in the past, the staff delivery is that of the best 5 star hotels.
Grounds are the best of the top hotels in
Tucson and the country club is still top notch.

the pool is the reason my husband and I come there and bring my granddaughter who is 2, I noticed a lot of people that did not look like they were paying guests (no wristbands) and there were big kids in the kid pool and it was dirty and kids in the adult pool and spas.

Had to ask three times to get food and drink at the pool. Half-assed effort to clean tables by staff. This is a high profit area for you guys. Won't make the same mistake twice.
Next time, I will clean the table myself after getting the kids lots of McDonald's food.

I'd return to this stylish and well kept hotel, despite not receiving a Platinum upgrade suite and despite the dominance of large business groups among the guests. My room did not seem substantially different from the hotel's average, but that standard is pretty high to begin with and it easily met my needs as a solo traveler; if I were with my wife, we'd have likely have judged it pleasant but not exceptional. The open building style means no enclosed hallways to concentrate the noise of outside talkers (the curse of many hotels) and the room door had a real seal without the typical annoying bottom gap; the nighttime quiet was blissful. Azul restaurant turns out good plates, but variety is modest, especially for a "resort" where one generally takes most meals in. The restaurant was never more than 1/3 full at any time during my 3 night stay as the large groups had sequestered themselves in private meeting rooms, and I suspect this lack of patronage makes it unproductive for the kitchen (and the wine list) to be more extensively adventurous.

With a five star resort, when check in says 4:00 you should be able to be in your room before 5:00. We were not the only ones waiting in the lobby. Thought they could have offered maybe a free drink at the restaurant or something for the wait. That did not happen.

I attended the Leading Change Conference last week and I must say ADE's choice of the La Paloma was an excellent one.
The hotel staff were friendly and efficient. My room was spacious and it contained the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on in a hotel.

All of the personnel were very accommodating. We did have problems with our room. In one day the A/C leaked, later the TV didn't work and finally the shower wouldn't drain. All the problems were fixed but it was just not what I expected from a luxury resort.

All amenities were beyond our expectations. Great experience as we found our new yearly vacation spot over Scottsdale area.

The hotel is an excellent venue with great rooms, food, facilities and especially staff. People were so friendly and helpful. I would recommend the Westin a a go to place. The tours and activities from the hotel are also excellent!
