We were greeted by a wonderful front end staff (Mayelli). Our service was very efficient and all our questions about the hotel were answered with knowledge.. We were offered an upgrade as I have been a Starwood Gold member for many years. We needed extra bedding and the housekeeping staff arrive to our room within ten minutes. Dining facilities were beautifully decorated. Service was a little slow. Food was good. Amount was not very large for asking price. Meal was not really hot but as the service was not quick and we were in a hurry, we accepted the meal as is. The server was very nice but quite busy. Parking in garage was a bit confusing but we managed after a few wrong turns. Over all experience was wonderful. Definitely would stay here again.

The Hotel staff and facilities were fine - but there were some teenage guests on my floor that thought it was fine to have a party and be loud and slam doors until 3 in the morning. I called security once and they came up - the kids were quiet - for about 30 minutes and then started up again. I know I'm not the only one complaining as I was told others had at checkout. Not a relaxing stay - but nice facility

I never had a problem with this hotel before, but now I'll never stay in the city again with these ridiculous parking prices. What do the city except a person to do book a room and park your car out side of the city limited. I'll stay out side of the city next time I come or organize a group convention .plus be careful of room service, they put extra tips on your bill if not aware. rate are good until the crazy city taxes hit in.

The housekeeping staff excellent! Friendly polite helpful. The front desk and waiters needto not speak disrespectfully of guest in front of and to other guest. The so called desk manager rolled her eyes at me before i finished explaining i was double billed incidentals then spoke to me as if i was a child. I asked for manafer she smirked said she was manager. I showed her proof of double billing and asked for different manager and finally got assistance. We stay at westin every year to visit my mom. This is the last year.

We have stayed at this hotel before and we enjoyed our stay so much that we made it a point to return. We could have bypassed this hotel during our 23-day trip but instead we looked forward to staying here even if it was for a few nights. The staff is very friendly. Excellent room service with a follow up phone call after each meal showing that guest satisfaction is important. The buffalo wings was very tasty and prior to our arrival we were looking forward to eating buffalo wings. We look forward to returning.

This is a fantastic property. Not necessarily opulent by any means but extremely comfortable in a great location, nicely maintained and extremely well managed. Importantly, Internet worked very well and rooms are well equipped for the business traveler.
The restaurant was occasionally a little weak in staff/service but generally ok. The beds are extremely comfortable and this hotel provides amazing water pressure not generally experienced in US properties these days.

I love every Starwood hotel/resort I have stayed in, but the Westin Long Beach was completely unsatisfactory. From the staff, food service, and valet to the outdated and overpriced rooms. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

We would suggest more help in the restaurant...long wait for food and the wait people take the flack for this
when it is not their fault. Several in our party ordered the clam and shrimp dish...most of the clams were empty. The waiter compensated with a comp glass of wine. Feel they should have comped these folks dinners. The floor of the tub is extremely slippery...hope you do not have a slip and fall incident. Otherwise the hotel was very clean and comfortable and the service people very accommodating and pleasant.

I had a brief but comfortable stay at this Westin. I enjoyed the comfortable room, and the fact that the room had a bathtub.
I had very enjoyable breakfast in the lobby restaurant with my Grandson. Service and Food were of the highest quality.Thank you

Since the Long Beach downtown area was renovated several years ago, it has been a favorite place of mine. There are great restaurants and entertainment spots. The Westin has the perfect location for easy walking access to the Promenade & Pine Ave as well as Shoreline area (including beach). The Westin & downtown Long Beach never fail to deliver a fantastic experience.

During my stay, I have noticed that coffee cups and milk jars had a lot of coffee/tea stains and not properly cleaned .
Also spoons that were placed on the buffet for granola, muesli and porridge were not clean and had stains. This is not the standard I expect from the Westin Hotel and this aspect definitely needs improvement.

Very nice room with comfortable bed comlete with down pillows and high quality linens. THe thick robe was another nice addition as was Starbucks coffeee in the room. None of that flavorless brown water most hotels provide.
Only downside was room doors with automatic latching which ensured the night was filled with door slamming as people just dropped their doors shut.

The Hotel had everything a person could ask for. The staff was very nice and helped me out on anything that I needed. The rooms were very comfortable and fairly clean. One problem I did have was the bath tub was not clean, but everything else was spotless. Thank you Westin for your Warm Welcome.

We stayed here to see a concert across the street. The day shift personnel was awesome, the night personnel was the worse. They would not/could not recommend a local place to eat after the concert , they made my wife & I feel foolish because we were asking the bellhop and front desk for help. The Rock Bottom Brewer two blocks down the road was the answer.

Our family really enjoyed our stay...Jessica at the front desk was very helpful and sensitive to our needs. Jay, and the rest of the breakfast staff, at the Grill were great...gave us tips on what to do in the area, and was kind to our entire family.

GREAT service from the bell desk/concierge.
Room Service was prompt and delish.
The staff at the bar basically ignored me sitting right at the bar for 10 minutes. A regular came in and handed his empty cup to a bartender and asked for a fill up. I said, "hey wait a minute Kenny, I have been sitting here for 10 minutes how about you get me my first drink before filling up your friend."
I had breakfast delivered on Sunday morning. We left some to finish after my daughter competed in the ballroom. But although more that half was left, the tray was taken out of the room before we returned. We had not yet checked out. I told the front desk staff. They said sorry but I would have liked some fruit and danish instead.
Also, security was called to a room near mine at 4:24 am after hours of loud behavior. There was lots of swearing and yelling. My daughter was scared. I got a terrible night's sleep. I think that the staff should initiate an apology to the neighboring rooms to acknowledge the inconvenience of the situation.
I feel that the Westin should take the initiative to make sure the guest has a great stay. I don't know that I would pay to come back to this Westin.

The beds were like rocks. I would wake up during the night with my hip hurting and I am not heavy. We've stayed in lots of Westins in the past and have loved their beds. These were terrible. The handicap room was so small there was no room to park my husband's wheelchair. The lighting in the room was terrible. The bathroom floor had a dramatic downward slope as you walk out and both my husband and I almost fell the first time we walked out. I hit the door getting a bruise on my arm. Fortunately my husband had his canes to steady himself. The TV didn't work. We had to call the engineer each time to fix it so we could watch it. The elevator doors didn't have sensors and both my husband and I were crushed when the doors closed at different times. The restaurant was generally bad. We had one great server who made sure our order came up right and that was the only meal that was good. We finally had to go off property to eat our meals. There was one really good bellman who helped us and did what he could to make our stay bearable. I would never stay at this hotel or recommend anyone else stay there either.

This was my first time at Westin Long Beach, overall a great hotel just felt my double room was to tight wish it was just a bit larger, and maybe consider increasing the menu choices after midnight, maybe it was me but I wish I could have ordered a burger when I get the munchies other than that this was a great stay

The Westin Long Beach has no recognition for top tier SPG Platinum members. I was at this hotel a few weeks ago and the hotel could not accommodate my request for a 1 King Bed. In addition, I was stuck with a broken A/C that would not cool fast enough and a terrible view. Stay away.

The lady in guest services was very helpful finding a massage therapist for me on a Sunday. I was in a lot of pain due to a shoulder injury.The beds are so comfortable
The hotel is in a great location, lots of cool stores to visit, great restaurants. I will definitely stay here again.

I stay at The Westin Long Beach 2 nights every week. The staff always recognizes me by name and treats me with professionalism and warmth. I would recommend this hotel for any person regardless of whether they are a frequent guest of Long Beach, a business traveler or a first time traveler.

i like the convenience of having the budget car rental people there. i've used it each time i've stayed at the westin LBC. in addition, this location is within walking distance to a neighborhood retail section off long beach blvd. (wal-mart, big 5 sporting goods, fresh & easy).

All of the staff at the hotel were great especiall the Front Desk Manager.
She went above and beyond and she certainly exceeded our expectations.
Overall our stay was very memorable. By the way the breakfast was very good.
I would definitely return to the hotel.

Good clean room, comfortable bed, good staff. The one shortfall is the food and restaurant. Friendly wait staff except the guy who appears to be the head (kind of stocky with glasses)...rude and not very nice. Otherwise, enjoy the stay

Located in the heart of Long Beach, in walking distance of lots of restaurants, harbor, Queen Mary, etc. Very comfortable room with great view of harbor. My only complaint: first floor lobby and third floor ballroom were too chilly!

The desk clerk did not recognize that I am a starwood member. I had to tell him. I also told him that I was paying for 2 rooms. The other person had already checked in. He said that he saw that on my record.
At almost 9pm (almost 11pm) in my time zone, I get a call from the front desk saying I have to come down and pay for the other room tonight. I explained that I had already taken care of it. I was told that I had not taken care of it. I had been up since 4am traveling and was already in bed. I told her it was not a good time. She said it had to be done tonight. When I got downstairs, the same man that had checked me in was there. He apologized. That really didn't help. He should have taken care of it when I checked in.
I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during a business conference. Though we felt we were rushed out of our car when we arrived, our stay was good. The bellmen were very nice and accomodating. They gave us directions and recommendations to the many nice restaurants in the area.
My reservation included Breakfast each morning. Don't know if that is standard or if it was taken care of by the conference we attended. Their buffet breakfast is wonderful! Very well done. A bit pricey for me and don't know if I would eat there and pay for it every morning.

I had never been to Long Beach and the Westin staff welcomed me to a lovely and relaxing hotel for my two night stay. They were especially pleasant to my small, well-behaved puppy, who also loved the hotel.

Everything about my stay was excellent, and the staff was outstanding. The customer really does come first at the Westin. One silly example (but worth noting); I love coffee, and at the end of my breakfast I happen to mention to my wiater that I was going to a looong meeting and he asked me if I wanted a coffee to go....no charge; he just did ti. A samll gesture but a BIG thanksf from me!!
