Arrived at LAX at 7:30pm. Waited 30 minutes for shuttle but nothing. called hotel at 30 minute mark...phone rang 20 times, no answer. Called hotel again at 35 minute mark...again 20+ rings no answer. Checked number to make sure I was dialing correctly, I was. Dialed again, 20+ rings no answer. Took a $20 cab to hotel which was 3 miles away. Waste of my money. Got to the hotel, long line (7+) checking in but no one in the Gold/Platinum line where I waited 20 minutes. Desk clerks kept checking in non-premium member for quite some time while I waited. When I did get checked in "Eddie" was helpful but no platinum upgrade. Not that they didn't have any upgraded rooms available, they just were not cleaned. If I wanted to wait 40 minutes I could have one. I complained to the desk manager and he shrugged his shoulders and said he would give me some extra Starwood points. Havent recieved them.

The room we stayed in was on the 10th floor. All in all a decent room, but we heard lots of noise. A crying baby all night long, and adults talking kept us up all night. Everytime someone walked by our door we could hear it. Decent location, just bring ear plugs. Staff wanted to know if we wanted to move. NO I just want to get the baby and the adults to understand they are in a hotel. I am in bed......

Our stay was nice. When we entered our room their was a musty smell; this was from the air conditioning. Our first night there we sat at the bar and the bartender was very nice and informative on surrounding beaches. The next morning we woke up early to dogs barking which we found out there was a dog kennel below the room; a bummer. Overall the hotel was great and the staff was very nice and helpful.

Everything was nice at the Hotel, with one exception. The airline delayed my baggage, and I got an email that it was delivered at Noon. When I got back at 4:30 pm, the bag was not in my room, and when I called, the staff could not locate it and said they would call me back. They did not call me back, so I called again about 1 hour later and after much prodding, they looked again and finally found it.

After trying for a day to get home from two southern California airports only to have my flight delayed overnight, it was a relief to walk into the fine Westin LAX and be greeted by a fine staff ready to serve. I don't like double beds but I was tired enough from the day to take what was available. I enjoyed a great late night dinner with matching service in the restaurant. Thank you for a fine stay.

The bathroom has no fan! Seriously? The furniture is old and tired ...not clean, especially couch. The pictures on the walls are literally coming apart....don't you have pics on the wall for people to LOOK at? Come on folks. And I itched for days after my visit. Dirty sheets? I WAS SHOCKED. but the lobby has high ceilings and marble and ten restaurant food was good. PS not enough service at the desk.

the hotel has no shuttle service to Hollywood Blvd which is a major tourist attraction..the hotel has no washer and dryer for the guests to do a quick load of laundry,it is not uncommon to not bring enough clean clothes for the trip. the hotel has no free internet service for guests who dont bring their own laptops. the hotel lobby and bar area were constantly cold.no soda pop machines in the hotel.

I stay at this hotel just for the convenience to the airport. The shuttle is not at all reliable. After almost a 30 minute wait my colleagues had to get a ride to the airport. Other hotels have very timely and reliable shuttles. Makes me question staying at this hotel in the future. When doorlman called to inquire where shuttle was they hung up on him. Location is nothing special. Ramone is great!

While the hotel is lovely to look at, we were disappointed in the housekeeping....we had to call for towels.....rooms were not made up even as late as 3:30 PM
the air conditioner system was not up to par....I was unable to comfortably sleep due to it being so warm.....even after i called to complain the circulation to the entire room was fair at best....some areas were cool and some really stuffy

I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and I have ALWAYS found the restaurant very deficient in service and in the quality of the food. One day a Buffet Breakfast was offered and the scrambled eggs (two choices) were dry and insipid. I found the scrambled eggs offered in the Executive Floor to be excellent.
The Daily Grill selection of entrees is not appealing, poor quality and pricy.

The front desk staff displayed prompt professionalism and respect at all times. The room itself was cosmetically stunning! Features that would have aided my stay include a mini fridge, and a microwave inside my room. Our family had to run back and for. With a sick child to the buffet in order to not miss breakfast. In addition items that could have been heated up later were no longer accessable or too far. The breakfast hours if longer would allow families more time such as 0600 to 1000, especially while paying over a hundred dollars per night. The cleanliness was superb and the view gorgeous. The choice of internet options seems sort of unfair. I have already spent over $160.00 for a room and then no wifi to stay in touch with my family or job seems like another tick mark. Also most places offer active duty free parking. Overall I would recommend this hotel to business travelers or singles.

As an SPG member AND SVN Owner i really got the short end of the stick. As an owner you have an expectation from Starwood Hotels and this one fell way short. the low point was waiting almost 2 hours for a bottle of water that should in the room prior to check-in. A broken phone and no bathrobes just added insult. Starwood prides themselves on providing a certain level of consistency and owner expect/demand nothing less. This hotel fell short of expectations. Our previous stays in Westin have have met if not exceeded our expectations. In our case we had an early flight to the east coast and just wanted to relax take a shower and get a quick coffee in our room before checking out at 430AM. Needless to say I am very disappointed especially because I expect more and always get more from your Westin line of hotels. Please get back to me and explain why we were not treated as owners at this hotel.

I was charged for breakfast (prepaid), facility was closed at 9:30, nobody mentioned the closure time while checking in.
I needed internet access that was supposed to be included in my package, needed access code. I called Operator numerous times, no answer for more than 30 minutes!, never had similar experience at any even road motels.
consequently I missed my important internet event.

The hotel is a busy one and used for primarily business travelers and airline employees. Everything functioned as intended and my room was generally comfortable. Check in and check out were efficient. Availability of coffee stand in the morning only was disappointing - would prefer to see it open all day, else you're required to go to the hotel restaurant or gift shop for any beverages.

At check in there was no recognition of SPG gold member, had 8 year old and was not given kid amenity as listed, room was on corner in the street with lots of noise, overcharged for internet that we never used, asked for rollaway and then was called 3 times after we had fallen asleep to see if it arrived, parking ticket did not work so we had to go back to front desk to get new ticket

This is an airport hotel built some time ago, and you feel it around the edges: it’s rather worn, the rooms a bit dated (I was getting a strong 70s vibe). But the sound proofing is excellent, the beds comfortable, and it does what it’s supposed to do, i.e., provide you with a place to sleep before you head somewhere else. Perfectly acceptable, and the customer service was very good.

The management was not caring enough to incident that happened to me while on my stay at your hotel. I will be calling corporate office about the incident. The hot tub at night was cold, they ask you if you want to opt out of housekeeping and receive a $5 voucher eveverynight of your stay were you can use anywhere in the hotel, not true ! Parking is too expensive for guests there.

Stayed here for a one day layover in LA on our way to New Zealand. They charge $25 for overnight parking plus tax. They also charge for Wi-Fi and only free Wi-Fi that I they have is in the lobby which is useless if you're staying there. Charging money for every single amenity and A high amount at that really left a bad taste in my mouth. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

We have stayed at the Westin LAX 3 or 4 times. Each time it gets better. This hotel is ideally located near the airport and many freeways making access to any part of the LA area easy. The addition of the Daily Grill restaurant is a plus that offers dining at your convenience. The workout facility has up to date equipment. Rooms are comfortable, clean and roomy enough for two.

When I book at the Westin, I expect excellence. Usually, they come through. This time was different. We arrived at the hotel late due to a flight delay. We asked for a crib for our 7 month old and it took 45 minutes for them to bring it up. Poor little Hudson ended up sleeping on the floor. The worst of it though was that our bathroom sink was filthy... hair and dirt caked to the side of it. I thought it would be a quick fix and turned the water on to wash it away and the drain was clogged. Since it was so late and we were only staying one night, we just cleaned up and brushed our teeth in the tub! When I checked out the next morning, I was expecting some sort of compensation for our troubles and while the gentleman was very nice, all we got was an "I'm sorry." I have always thought of the Westin as one of the nicest hotels with the best customer service. Now I'm not so sure we will be staying there again. :(

The hotel and staff are average, with the exception of their managers who are not in my opinion. A hotel emplyee (unknown as security never responded to me) tried to enter my room without permission or notice, slamming the door open against the flip lock. The employee ignored me, security did not respond and the manager told me not to worry about it. Will not stay here again.

On February 7 thru 10 I flew to LA for a long weekend with a friend and to visit two of my college classmates. My stay at the Westin was wonderful. The staff that was there when I visited 3 years ago remembered me and they made me feel so welcome. When my classmates came over, they to said," that they felt welcome". The room was comfortable, quite and the food was great.

Great room, hotel ameniities gym ,etc very good. Lounge area is relaxing. I attended a conference at this site. The theater, meeting rooms and availability to get to Manhatten beach and shops for $5.00 round trip with bus passing by each half hour allowed us to get out and see some of LA.
Food was good although a bit pricey, but hey this is LA. I would stay there again.

I liked so many things about this hotel with one major exception -- the shower. Women, if you think you are going to be able to rinse a full head of hair while shampooing, you are seriously misled. Actually I would go so far as to say the bath combined a workout feature with the shower. I spent a great deal of effort running in the tub trying to catch the droplets as they dripped from the large and lovely showerhead. There was not enough water to keep my whole body wet at the same time! Unfortunately there is no shower or locker room in the fitness area which might have served as an alternative. In all other respects, this is a fine hotel and a good value. The restaurant is good; the bed was comfortable; the shuttle to the airport is convenient and punctual. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. The rooms are pleasant, nicely furnished, and even include a window that opens! Now if they only improve the shower...

Most everything was fine, but the temperature of the common area facility on Friday evening was extremely uncomfortable because of how cold it was. The room was nice and the menu was good, but everyone was noting how uncomfortable it was --yet it took until the next day to really adjust reasonably.
Concierge was very helpful with transportation needs on Saturday.

SPG status was NOT recognized upon check-in. I asked for an upgrade and was told the hotel was sold out. I also had to ask for Club access and was initially said it wasn't available, until I said I was a Platinum member, then it was given to me. Concierge Noe was fantastic and helped us with car service and restaurant suggestions. Pool didn't have enough towels.

Booked the Westin has we had rented a car at Thrifty Car Rental which is right across the street. Everything from checkin to checkout was great. I think it is very reasonably priced given it's location and it's amenities. Only issue is having to pay for computer time and also the printing of our boarding passes.
We will certainly stay here again if we are in LA.

I visited this hotel and the guy (leon) checked me and my husband in was so helpful and super nice, he did anything and everything to make our trip fabulous. I don't meet customer service agents like him everyday so he kinda made my day by providing us the best he customer service, hotel and room itself was great , we had no issues at all and felt like home.

I expected more from Westin, this airport hotel is in need of a complete makeover. Plastic cups in the bathroom and guest room ? Paper cups with the coffee machine ? Hand shower left in the on position resulting in bath towels getting a good spraying when the shower is turned on ?
On the plus side the bed was comfortable & front desk staff were excellent.

I am very fond of Westin hotels but had several problems during my short stay at the LAX Westin. The rooms are in need of rennovation and I had problems with package delivery as well as reservations in the Grill restaurant. My experience was not indicative of the quality I expect with the Westin brand. Access to the club lounge was not worth the extra cost.
