The hotel staff were excellent, helpful and very friendly. The room had peeling paint on ceiling, black fungus on the grout in shower and carpet throughout could've used cleaning. The food was excellent

I have stayed at many hotels, the Food and Beverage staff are great. The food in the restaurant has a very minimal selection. The rooms are in desperate need of upkeep. General wear and tear things.

I have stayed at this hotel plenty of times and each time it seams as if they are getting progressively worse. This hotel is no where near the SPG standard or the Westin standard for that matter.

the hall lighting, the room lighting, the general cleanliness was poor. Gives the impression of a motel, not a hotel. Wallpaper was peeling in some hallways. disappointing for a Westin property.

Everything was solid, comfortable, good long island ice tea at the bar. My room temp was 82 degrees when i checked in at 9PM, so the room needed an hour to cool off, so I hung out at the bar.

The hotel lobby is new and attractive, but once you leave the lobby the hotel shows signs of wear and tear.
The staff however more than made up for this. Efficient and very friendly staff.

Close to SFO, 20 minute shuttle service. Access to the Bayshore Trail is convenient, which is a nice walk while watching airliner operations--takeoffs, landings, etc.--birds, and people.

I was disappointed the TV channels did not work for my stay - CNN, TNT and a few others.
But overall, the staff were GREAT! Thanks Western - Work on the TV channels ( 467 is the room).

Outstanding help from Mark at the front desk and from Vicki the catering manager. Vicki was wonderful to work with when planning our brunch. Also to Sue from the wait staff in catering.

Most people stay here purely out of convenience - it's close to the airport. No facilities in walking distance. Small restaurant with limited menu and most tv channels say "no signal"

It is definitely more functional for folks that simply use this hotel as a base for meetings. Not the best of the Westins hotels. There are much better.
Parking is very expensive.

My stay of the night of 11/30 was OK. When I arrived my room was about 96 degrees, VERY hot, and I couldn't get the thermostat to work. I called the front desk and asked for the engineer to fix. The front desk said someone was coming right up in a few minutes. After 15 minutes I could not stand the heat (no room service dinner for me) so I left the room and walked to the front desk to let them know.
They did ask if I wanted another room. Since I had unpacked I decided to just go out for dinner and hope that the room was cool when I returned.
I returned to the room about an hour later and the room had mostly cooled off. Too warm to sleep, but cooler. After watching a show, the room was finally cool enough to sleep.
As a Starwood preferred guest, I stay at Westin's quite often. However, this was a first "difficult" stay for me.
I am thankful that after speaking to the front desk in person, the engineer was able to repair the a/c unit. And I would expect this kind of experience is rare for Westin Hotels.
Other than the HOT arrival, the rest of my stay was comfortable and up to Westin quality standards.

everyone went out of their way to assist. we had very noisy neighbors, barking dogs, screaming kids and the staff must have sent up duct tape as we heard nothing after our call.

For a Westin, this hotel is stuck in the 1980's and requires major renovations and clean up.
Not worth the money and/or points!
Only good thing is the proximity to the airport.

Extremely convienent to the airport. We had a fantastic dinner at the hotel and my wife and I loved the heavenly mattress. Not to mention a fantastic shower head in the shower.

Checkin- got in late and was dog tired. Appreciated the very quick check-in.
Breakfast- you charge a lot for limited buffet. Consider expanding or adjusting cost.

My stay was only for a night. The hotel was far better than any airport location hotel that I have ever stayed in. Great amenities and a lively bar and restaurant.

This Westin is well situated for staying between connections at t SFO.
Lack of SPG Lounge is the drawback.

We arrived late and tired. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The hotel has free shuttle to/from SFO.

If you stay at this hotel beware! I travel for work and pleasure 4+ times a year and I have never checked into a hotel that requires the full amount of my stay along with $50.00 a day incidentals (if you stay 8 days they require an additional $400.00 at the time of check-in).
During my stay, the group I was with traveled into downtown San Fransisco. The conceriege services couldn't provide us with accurate amounts to get to/from hotel to downtown. Everytime it was discussed the amount would change (went up in price).
Also, I particapted in the Green Program where you can choose to reuse linens/towels; beware this also means that housekeeping will skip your room and not clean/restock toiletries/make your bed.
This hotel is convienent for location to the airport, but 45 minutes from downtown San Fransisco.
The hotels pool and hot tub were nice, although the area inside the pool area was the coldest place in the hotel.
If you plan to work out in the fitness center, remember to bring your own clothing. The Westin offers $5.00 rental of workout clothes but if you need to order clothing that is 4 sizes bigger than what you normally wear.
