Overall excellent stay, the staff was friendly and helpful. The Valet Staff was great and always made sure I had water. Only disappointment was that the swimming pool was not working......too cold. They offered up their over hotel's pool, but was not practical. Overall not a big deal. Thank you very much.

From the valet, to the front desk, to the restaurant staff, they were all super polite and very engaging. It was a special weekend for my fiance and I and they took excellent care of us. We'll definitely be back in the future and will highly recommend the Westin Gaslmap to anyone traveling to SD!

the facility is excellent. HOWEVER if you are on the top floor (16) and have a room close to the elevators you are going to hear the elevator motors until the late night and then hear them again very early. I am a light sleeper and did not get more than 5 hours on a Thursday evening.

My bathroom door wouldn't close properly, no light in the closet (hard to see my clothes), the faucet water was either scalding hot or cold- no in between, and the window wasn't sealed well so I could here everything outside. Positives - nice bar and great food, clean hotel and good staff.

No complaints about the room or the staff, but we did feel there were things missing here that we have enjoyed at other Westin locations. TV kept cutting out and channels were limited and no in-house movie options. Deal breaker though was the $36 per day to park our car. We won't be back.

We stayed in two ajoining rooms as my elderly mother was with us. The hotel staff was very accomodating when we made the request for ajoining rooms, the rooms were very comfortable and the location is brillent. The bell staff were also very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

My boyfriend and I had a fantastic stay over Memorial Day. We were received by Dang at the Front Desk very late around 1am and he was extremely friendly and we felt welcomed instantly. Our check out, bar, and valet contacts were also very helpful. I'm sure we will be back!!

room was clean upon arrival. i wish the beds were bigger, 2 queens would have been much better than 2 doubles. highly reccommend the king bed if staying. Staff were helpful and nice. tv remote and tv needs updating.

The best part of any hotel experience is the interaction with the staff with which you come into contact. On every level and in every circumstance, the staff was helpful, polite and personable. They left me feeling that I was their first priority and what could be better than that.

The staff was wonderful. They were able to answer all of our questions and were very knowledgeable about the area and directed us on where to go and what to see. The room was clean and comfortable and the refrigerator was a nice surprise. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience.

I loved my stay at The Westin , when I arrived late in the evening much to my dismay " I " had not properly reserved my room , so my name was not in their system, BUT they quickly reserved me a room at the rate I had originally THOUGHT I had reserved !!! Very professional !!!

Very nice, updated property with a great location. Excellent concierge and bellmen. Very polite and helpful. The room, gym, lobby were consistent with what I expect, and why I choose to stay, at Westin properties.

Everything was great during our stay, but we want to mention Julian, the Concierge. She was amazing. Went above and beyond to check with us every day and make sure everything was to our liking and really taking care to please. Excellent front person for your hotel.

Rude and inexperienced staff. Overpriced for what it is. Do not care about their gold members. Room is loud and noisy , AC is very loud and room was hot and stuffy. Food is just average and isn't worth the price. More than half of the treadmills in the gym are not working.

Had to ask for room to be cleaned at 5 or 6pm. Very noisy at night. Rowdy young people in corridors en route to their rooms waking us up. Did not call security because their rooms were not adjacent to ours. Mentioned it at front desk the next morning. Not much sympathy!

Sophie at the front desk was awesome. As soon as I made eyecontact with her she immediately acknowledge me and asked how she could be of service. She gave me maps told me about local places to go and was accomodating with allowing me to check in early.

This is the second meeting our organization has held at the Westin Gaslamp. Both experiences have been excellent. The hotel staff works exceptionally well with one another and their open communication makes booking and holding a successful event easy.

Hotel located in a great locaion. We didn't have to rent a car. Was able to walk to all areas we wanted to see. Transit was easy to take too, as we took the transit to La Jolla. One block from hundreds of restraunts and nightlife. Great time

Right next door to Horton Plaza. This hotel is very kid friendly although I have none by niece and nephew visited us with their families. I was not upgraded to a suite which I have kind of become accustomed to but i got over it.

The room was beautiful, as was the view. Employees were very pleasant and helpful. We were there for a conference, and the rooms were very nicely set up, and the wine and cheese reception was great-- including fresh vegies and dried fruits.

Must say that the location is exceptional. But the condition of the room was below expectation. The air condition was making sound every time it kicked in. Also I could hear people talk next door which is very discomforting.

After checking in and requesting adjoining rooms if possible, we waited five hours for a phone call that never came. Eventually got our rooms right at dinner time after wasting the entire day.

I work in the high-tech industry, so it makes sense that I would notice the technical issues. I noticed a reservation desk that was unable to override obvious system problems, a guest services desk that was completely powerless to provide true service because their hands were "tied" by system limitations, and front desk clerks who too easily blamed the system when something went "wrong". The best customer service I received during my entire stay was from the valets who parked my car. They offered a personal greeting right upon arrival and since you do not tip upon arrival, it seemed honestly welcoming. Unlike the front desk, they were attentive to all guests, not just your "preferred" guests. They offered helpful directions with impromptu restaurant advice while the concierge was completely unapproachable. They said hello with a real smile. They hustled and took pride in doing a good job. If someone from the hotel is reading this, I think in the near future the valet staff will be providing the rest of the hotel staff training on the real meaning of hospitality.

I was visiting San Diego with my wife after 22 years. The first time it was on our honeymoon in 1991.
My wife remarked that this visit was even better this time, thanks to the Staff at Westin Gaslamp Quarter!

Room was clean, generally comfortable. Lack of hot water was annoying. Pillows were small and lumpy. Lobby very nice and comfortable, location is excelent. Staff very friendly. Valet service excellent.
