the sheets had holes and my toe got caught and ripped. The towels were thread bare and had holes in them too. Very disappointed in the quality of lines overall. We opted to go "Green" but should have had sheets changed. After being out all day and tired, when we reached the hotel there was a high school prom going on. we had to wait 15 minutes to get into the elavator! we used the elevators several time that evening based on our evening activites and the wait was about the same.

Great location etc
Internet, wifi.... wow, you will loose lots of precious time taking your laptop to lobby, log on there and later go back to room.
Each time it takes minutes, lots of minutes to log in again and again, VERY frustrating !

We stayed in two ajoining rooms as my elderly mother was with us. The hotel staff was very accomodating when we made the request for ajoining rooms, the rooms were very comfortable and the location is brillent. The bell staff were also very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

This was our second stay in the Gaslamp Quarter, first at Westin. I was very impressed by the initial impression when we arrived. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. Compared to our initial stay in the Gaslamp Quarter, the street noise was negligible (with the exception of two late nights/early mornings where music played overly loudly out in the front area of the hotel, never could figure out who/why). The first night was amazingly quiet. The beds were as comfortable as I have ever slept in. The housekeeping staff kept the rooms in a high level of cleanliness. The stay at Westin was extremely enjoyable and will look to this hotel both on our next trip to San Diego and other locales in which we visit.

At the arrival of our week stay a very nice young man approached us to take our luggage. Upon checking in the young lady did not smile and proceeded with our check in. The check in process took about 10 minutes and the staff person could not explain to us why our debit cards had to have a hold of $700 for one room $200 for another and $500 for the 3rd room. Neither did she contact a manager for assistance. Although she swiped one of our personal cards and then "replaced" it with the company card. There was still a $700 hold on the personal card for 3 days!!
This Hotel does not have free wi-fi. We were here on a business trip and we were not about to pay 9.99 per night for wi fi.
For the amount that is charged to stay at this hotel, I was completely baffled with the customer serivece. All staff were unapproachable and rude.
Upon my departure while I was checking out the young lady asked about my stay. I said it was HORRIBLE. She said nothing and just have me my options for a receipt.
With our luggage we headed the the restaurant and decided to have a large breakfast before our long flight home. The waiter, Roberto (I think was his name) asked if were leaving and we said yes, he asked about our stay and I told him it was HORRIBLE! He apologized and after we ate he said the breakfast was on them! At least when we left Roberto made us feel somewhat good for our stay.

Our Conference was held at this hotel, but we will be staying somewhere other than the Westin in San Diego.

The hotel had an amazing face lift recently and looks beautiful but little things were not updated like the AC system. After along day not being able to sleep because of the roar of the AC on a 90+ degree day is a little difficult to stomach. The lobby, room, and gym were all beautiful but if you can't sleep comfortably kinda defeats the purpose of staying at a Westin.

Hotel located in a great locaion. We didn't have to rent a car. Was able to walk to all areas we wanted to see. Transit was easy to take too, as we took the transit to La Jolla. One block from hundreds of restraunts and nightlife. Great time
