It never amazes me how the Westin St Francis always meets my expectations. Everyone is nice and the rooms are alway great and I always get the rooms facing the Square like i request. Thank you for such a nice visit.

The room was old, needed painting, old carpet, elevators didn't work well, cable went out over and over, bathroom needs painting, wallpaper. Do not like the new shower heads with the rain water. The old double heads were fantastic.

We had a room next to the lift shaft which made our stay extremely noisy . I would have expected a hotel of the Westin level to have covered off simple things like this .
Sound proving rooms next to noisy areas is relatively simple

Thanks for a great stay. The check in gentlman on crutches was professional and attentive. Room was very nice and provided all that was needed. Elevators were extremely responsive with 5-10 seconds! Thanks for a great experience.

I dont care what the view is - how nice the people are or how big your room is - when you need hot water - you should get hot water......

This was our first time staying at the Westin St Francis and we were very excited. However, a few things happened that were very unfortunate.
1. We took my daughter to SF for her birthday and decided to stay at the Westin, we asked for bottle of champagne to be delivered at 5pm in our room so we scheduled our entire day around that and room service didn't bring up til 6:15pm so the surprise and our schedule didn't work out.
2. We stayed 4 days 3 nights and our room was only cleaned 1 day. After long days walking around the entire city, coming back to a clean room is always nice. Didn't happen.
3. On our last day the bell man didn't load one piece of luggage on our shuttle and we didn't realize this until we got to the OAK airport. No fun when that happens.
I think we had high expectations and Westin didn't come that close. We are not high maintenance guests by any means but had to let you guys know some feedback to better improve that location. We paid a premium to stay at Westin and expect a certain level of service and it didn't happen during this stay.

When we were checking in it was chaos and the lines long, there was 1 person at the front desk and there a great many people angry...there was no one at the Gold and Platnium line until Joy came out to help, she saved the day!!

my room was not cleaned until 4:00 I asked two housekeepers that were cleaning other rooms if I could be next. They both said they would call it in that was at 3:00. Room serve was great on time and good food.

Don't stay in the old section -- the furniture is from the Eisenhower Admin days. The halls are wide but the room was spartan and old.
Heavenly bed was nice
Really -- for the same price pick the W, Palace or St Regis........

The rooms and hotel overall seems in dire need of a renovation, and the staff have a slightly snobbish attitude towards guests (even as a long-time platinum member).
Only saving grace is the excellent location of this hotel.

Great location, well trained staff, wonderful housekeeping. Rooms in old/historic wing are well kept but views are mostly of brick walls next door. Elevators are a major struggle, though signs indicate upgrades are coming.

While the staff at the St. Francis is top-drawer the rooms even in the newer section are sorely in need of updating and refreshing. The rooms in the "historic" section need complete renovation.
Great location; but tired.

Hotel security could not control noise. Kids running in halls @ 3 AM. Terrible night, no sleep. Would not recommend this hotel when it has an event for young people going on. I stayed on 12/21 and had the worse stay ever.

The overall stay was just incredible with specatular views and extremely comfortable. Our only blemish was the maid service knocked and asked us questions about our check out even though we had the Do Not Disturb sign up

The doors and hardware are THE loudest of any hotel I've ever stayed in --- and I travel 2-3 times each month. I was awakened and disturbed each time a door in close proximity was closed. Great location in Union Square.

It was a nightmare getting to the hotel. It took over 2 hours to get from the Presidio to the St. Francis. The hotel itself was as rated above. Had I been aware there would be a problem I would have planned differently.

The desk clerk dealt with some minor problems courteously and efficiently. The room was spacious and clean. At every corner of the hotel there is historic art and architecture. The location is amazing!

We enjoyed the Westin St Francis and its convenience to all of the sites. The staff was friendly and the tower rooms were comfortable. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

Very patient and helpful reservations and front desk staff. Immediate assistance with business center needs. Very comfortable beds. Room service very efficient. Air conditioning mediocre. Minibar service poor.

When I got into the room there was vomit on the floor. Still wet with some carpet cleaner over top of it. All nice and yellow. I called downstairs to say there was vomit on the floor and they didn't care. Awful!

Stayed at the Westin Union Square on the tower side. Room was average, nothing special. The room felt a little dated. Windows definitely needed cleaning though. The best attribute of the hotel is the location.

I was not upgraded despite my gold status. Not even a free bottle of water. And my reservation was for the landmark building but I was placed in the tower. Very dissappointing, probably last time i stay there

Great getaway for mom and three 18 year old girls! Impressive, friendly, clean, safe. Cable car access to wharf, walking distance to Union Square, Market Street, Polk St. restaurants (loved Brenda's creole).

We are a family of five and we love our stay at the hotel. The rooms were large and clean, with comfortable beds. We used the concierge a lot and they were extremely helpful. We would recommend it any time!

The location of the Westin, St. Francis is in a terrific location for holiday shopping and eating locations. The Westin is truly a first class luxury establishment, above any other hotel in San Francisco.

I have stayed in this hotel since i was 12 yrs old. and i still think it's a great hotel. i do think since this is 2013 the internet should be free. It's like putting quarters into the tv to watch it.

Desk clerk upgraded us to a beautiful Junior suite overlooking Union Square when she heard it was my birthday. The room was gorgeous! Breakfast in the Oak Room was excellent.

Just about every trip to SF foe includes staying at the St. Francis. Although I prefer the old building they gave us a very nice room in the new one and everyone is always so nice. Thank you St Francis.
