Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable, busy, beautiful hotel We stayed 8 nights here on vacation and had a lot of trouble booking through SPG. No fault of the hotel. Hotel is beautiful, room was pretty quiet given a loud city street below. Housekeeping was wonderful when we needed them. SPG recognition was non existent and front desk was always so busy and understaffed that we cringed if we had to stop there for anything. Upon check out, thee were 7 people in line, 2 people working and nobody working the SPG Gold member line so people were coming over from that line and cutting directly in front of us to check out so we, along with everyone else in line got pretty upset. We gave up and did not check out but dropped our keys. we have never received an itemized statement either under our door or emailed to us so we have to wait for the credit card statement to arrive and phone at that time if we need to. Don't expect any extras if you are an SPG member. It's too busy here for anyone to really care. But, we would recommend the hotel as it is comfortable and the support staff was available for us. It's not the fault of the front desk, it just needs people back there actually working. 2 people working at a 7:30 a.m. check out when people need to get to meetings and on airplanes just doesn't work. When I arrived in the evening I was told they didn't have a city view room available but they would check for the next days. The front desk did follow up with me the next day and were able to get us into the room we paid for. the room I wanted. July 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by In the heart of SF, they have my heart. The Westin St. Francis has been such an amazing establishment to visit. I have been blessed to be able to stay in such a historic yet elegant hotel. The history and the marvels that the hotel has foregone is beyond breathtaking. FD service could not have been any more helpful and accommodating. I have been to many places, and this is truly one of the best that I have been to. Seamless check in, wonderful room and amenities, and helpful staff everywhere you turn. July 18, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Horrible Customer Service Stayed at the Westin St. Francis over Fourth of July weekend, and had to leave a day early due to a family emergency. We prepaid, and asked if we could have the last day refunded. The helpful gentleman that checked us out said he would process it, but to give it 3 days. I called and emailed after 3 days due to no refund,and as of July 17th I have still yet to receive any response. When calling I get the run around of whom I need to speak to. When emailing the associate is out of town, and the associate covering for her does not answer or reply as well. July 17, 2016

Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointing experience I was generally disappointed by this hotel, especially for the price I paid. It's admittedly in a great location, but the quality of the rooms is way lower than I would expect from Westin and for the price. The first room I was given didn't have a working shower, but the front desk was quick to give me a new room. Both rooms, however, had windows that faced directly into other rooms (and were so close that I couldn't open the blinds at all). The second room I was given also had a very musty smell. Both rooms had bathrooms with really unappealing fluorescent lighting and very minimal counter space (barely had room for my toothbrush, contacts case, and makeup bag). In my second room, the bed literally does not face the TV at all- it's almost entirely perpendicular to the TV so you're watching from a ridiculous angle. On the positive side: beds are very comfortable and the shower head is great. If you have a choice though, stay at the W... June 7, 2016
