I pre-paid and booked a city view room. When I arrived in the evening I was told they didn't have a city view room available but they would check for the next days. The front desk did follow up with me the next day and were able to get us into the room we paid for. the room I wanted.

The Westin St. Francis has been such an amazing establishment to visit. I have been blessed to be able to stay in such a historic yet elegant hotel. The history and the marvels that the hotel has foregone is beyond breathtaking.
FD service could not have been any more helpful and accommodating. I have been to many places, and this is truly one of the best that I have been to. Seamless check in, wonderful room and amenities, and helpful staff everywhere you turn.

Stayed at the Westin St. Francis over Fourth of July weekend, and had to leave a day early due to a family emergency. We prepaid, and asked if we could have the last day refunded. The helpful gentleman that checked us out said he would process it, but to give it 3 days. I called and emailed after 3 days due to no refund,and as of July 17th I have still yet to receive any response. When calling I get the run around of whom I need to speak to. When emailing the associate is out of town, and the associate covering for her does not answer or reply as well.

Great location, clean and good size rooms. Bed was hard; I am not sure what part of the bed was heavenly. Staff was very attentive. Definitely would stay here again.

What an awful experience. Heather in guest services beyond rude and the food was so bad. What a terrible experience. Never again.

Nice overall property and good location. Rooms are modern and comfortable. I did have a few struggles with the water temperature for showering and my in closet safe did not work when I arrived, but everything else was fine.

I was generally disappointed by this hotel, especially for the price I paid. It's admittedly in a great location, but the quality of the rooms is way lower than I would expect from Westin and for the price. The first room I was given didn't have a working shower, but the front desk was quick to give me a new room. Both rooms, however, had windows that faced directly into other rooms (and were so close that I couldn't open the blinds at all). The second room I was given also had a very musty smell. Both rooms had bathrooms with really unappealing fluorescent lighting and very minimal counter space (barely had room for my toothbrush, contacts case, and makeup bag). In my second room, the bed literally does not face the TV at all- it's almost entirely perpendicular to the TV so you're watching from a ridiculous angle. On the positive side: beds are very comfortable and the shower head is great. If you have a choice though, stay at the W...

Overall experience was just Good to OK.
As I have been seeing it as an trend. It seems that Westin hotel has old facility, and it felt this hotel was a bit outdated.
As it was in SF Downtown, and Westing Brand. I was expecting more, but it has only delivered the average hotel facility level.
The stuff were friendly, and awesome. But I would recommend to go for W hotel or other places.
