On our recent stay we ran into a little snag with the money available to us because of the deposit I forgot to account for. That was merely the beginning of everything. During our stay, only three staff members felt as though they genuinely cared for us while we were there. Needless to say, we switched hotels the very next morning. The overall attitude made us feel unwelcome as guests.

hotel is at great location since it is just off the I-95. It is pretty quiet in weekdays and weekends unless there is an event during weekend.
Though, this hotel does not have full restaurant on weeknights. I noticed they closed simply b/c it is too quiet.
Also, this hotel needs to increase number and size of suites for upgrades for the returning/ platinum member guests.

What can you ask for...heavenly bed,
dual shower head, attentive staff, friendliest bartender, Edwin..... and,
even the kitchen staff compromised. I took a bag of spinach, okra and arugula and asked them to whip me up a nice stir fry and they obliged! I was in heaven! My sister and I didn't want to leave the place!
Westin....great job!!! We will definitely return!

I was looking for a hotel that offered a location close to the airport but also within comfortable driving distance from attractions. I got both. My room was a much needed welcome from two long flights. The shower put me in a restful mood and the bed, oh the bed: Heavenly. The staff was attentive and courteous. I plan on staying here again in the next few months.

The hotel room was nice and comfy until I saw all the ants in the bathroom. The carpet in the room is dark so I couldn't see them there. The ants were every where in the bathroom, crawling on my feet as I was getting ready to leave the hotel. I mentioned this to the front desk clerk and she offered to give me points on my SPG. The 5th floor room was quiet.

I've stayed at a number of Westin hotels. This did not meet my expectations. A real problem exists with the heating system. The engineer tried to solve it, but to no avail. (We were there during a cold snap.) Housekeeping staff arrived at about 5 pm.This seems very late in the day. Beds comfortable; T-V worked, etc. Restaurant & room service were OK+

I wrote a review of this place in the past and honestly they did a much needed turn around. Everyone was so nice. They upgraded me and now offer 50% off food and beverage for PLAT members. I only wish I could have stayed another night but they were sold out. Room service was delicious and the food actually came hot! - imagine that. WELL DONE WESTIN!

I have stayed at the Westin in Fort Lauderdale at least a dozen times over the past few years for business and always have a consistent and pleasurable experience. My only complaint related to my recent stay was that they changed the toiletry items from the typical Westin "white tea" scented toiletries to some other off-brand. My wife was NOT HAPPY!

My husband and I stayed at this property over the weekend for one night on our way to Miami and will not be staying here again. We unfortunately found a dead cockroach in our bathtub. When we spoke to the front desk agent she just said "sorry" and didn't offer any sort of service recovery. Very unsatisfied with this property. Do not recommend.

I thought the overall cleanliness of the hotel was great but every time I entered the bathroom I would get an allergy attack. I am not sure what the issue was but I would sneeze uncontrollably and my eyes would itch and water. Also the room provided coffee with no sugar and it took an hour to get sugar. Also room service food was not tasty.

The beds were very comfortable and rooms were very quiet! Only thing we didn't care for was the shower. The giant shower heads LOOK impressive, but they didn't cover everything. Front desk clerks were very nice and helpful. Clean hotel! Wish there were more restaurants, etc close to this hotel...but wasn't too big of an issue.

One day the room was not cleaned at all. When we requested new towels, etc., they left the towels on the floor in front of the door!!
One day elevator was not working. Eventually, they took us to our floor by using service elevator, However, while we were waiting for the elevator for a while, there was no help or explaination.

I stayed in the hotel in December 2012 for 1 night. It is nice hotel, but rather basic. Our stay was spoiled a bit by non-functioning AC/heating system and facing temprerature of 64 degrees that could not be adjusted. We were promised a heater that never came... Shame, the room was quite decent and comfortable otherwise.

I just had another great stay at the Westin Ft. Lauderdale.
Check-in was quick, my room was extra large and even had a sitting area, in a rounded alcove.
The hotel is clean, quiet and right off I-95 which can get you anywhere in South Florida.
I highly recommend this hotel to any visitor in the South Florida area.

Room was excellent, as expected. Large, clean, and updated. Problem was the room next door had a party until 2am. Front desk was called several times but nothing was done. It's very difficult to get to get a decent night's sleep when every couple minutes you hear 5 or 6 people roaring with laughter, or screaming....

We stayed at the Westin prior to going on a cruise along with 2 other couples. The rooms were very nice. They were clean and nicely decorated. The pool area was also well maintained. We enjoyed our stay and would return. We would also recommend for short stay. Not a lot nearby. You really need to have a car.

My company uses this hotel many times throughout the year. It is convenient and has facilities we need for our events. The staff is outstanding. My only suggestion is that they update the workout room. It is old, equipment is malfunctioning and ventilation is not good. Outside of that, the hotel is good.

The property is physically very attractive, from the lobby, dining area, to the swimming pool and tropical surround. We loved the hotel clean room, comfortable bed. The staff very polite and helpful. Dinner at the restaurant was enjoyable and the full breakfast which was included was delicious.

This hotel was wonderful. Check-in time was quick. Arrived in my room and it was a bit warm, called downstairs and they had maintenance guy at my room within 10-15 min. He also, left a fan to get the room cool quickly. Rooms were very clean. The bed were so.... soft and comfy.

I've stayed at this Westin a few times - usually just for one-nighters. The location is really the only negative although its pretty convenient there isn't much around it.
It's clean, rooms are very nice and they are extra-recognizing of the Starwood status.

Very disappointed that you were unable to meet my request on my arrival regarding to room type. Further, agent at the front desk (maria) was not knowlegable regarding to the status of rooms and really unable to help me at all until I almost got annoyed by her reaction

The front desk staff and the room service staff is excellent; they always try to do the best for you. On the other hand, the cleaning staff are very lazy about making beds, and cleaning the rooms. It seems they do only as little as necessary so your room looks decent.

The staff were friendly and responsive and the conference facilities were nice. However, the room, restaurant and fitness facility were far from suitable for a 5 day conference. The shower was hard to work and leaked noisily for hours after using it. Toilet was weak and would easily overflow. The channels were very limited on the TV and the walls are abnormally thin even for a hotel. There is only one restaurant with a limited menu and no others in safe walking distance without crossing a major 4 lane road. The fitness facility was very small for a hotel that size in 2012. Good thing most of the guests were lazy that week and did not use it or else it would have been crowded with more than 10 people. There are a decent amount of treadmills but only a few elliptical machines and very limited resistance equipment. These things are not that big of a deal for an overnight business trip but became very annoying over the course of 5 days. I would not recommend this hotel for a business conference or any stay more than 2 days.

Welcoming reception desk.Lovely spacious room. Pleasant pool area. Conve nient location for easy access to I-95.
Disappointed with lack of coffee /breakfast counter for those who want quick breakfast fare on the run.

We enjoyed our stay. We arrived late on a Friday for a long weekend stay. The hotel is convenient to Pompano, Lauderdale by the Sea and Ft. Lauderdale. The Hotel was busy with Cruise travellers coming and going. The hotel had nice fitness facilities including a sauna in the fitness locker room. The pool was nice as well. We did not eat in the dining room or have a drink at the bar but the facilties were nice and popular with guests. We had booked a junior suite and were placed on a preferred floor. The room was large, with two beds and a large sitting area.The windows went the whole length of the room. There was a coffee maker, fridge (hidden in the bureau) and a writing desk (though oddly no paper or pen to write with). Everything was very pleasant from the lobby to the rooms though here and there, there were some small issues. The Hotel is right along Interstate 95 and some contant noise issues. Can't complain for our needs though. Very happy with our stay. Staff was pleasant and helpful. We stayed away when the cruisers were about!

I have stayed at this Hotel a. Number of times and was very surprised during my recent stay! The room was dirty, housekeeping was sadly lacking and that was evidenced even in the room that I moved to.
Definitely was not worth the points redemption.

I have stayed at this hotel about 15 times in the past 12 months. Rooms are always clean and quiet, font desk is very good, the on site food is well above average with average service. I keep coming back because of the rooms and front desk service.

I didn't have any complaints about the room. The bed was clean and very comfortable. They also have very nice toiletries and complimentary Starbucks coffee to go with the in-room coffee maker. The room was kept very cool and at a nice temperature.

Right next to I-95, visible and easy to find from afar even if you get lost. Staff was welcoming and informative. Our stay was too short so we never used the pool/spa nor the fitness center but we hope to be there again and enjoy the amenities.

I had to keep reminding myself that I was at a Westin. From the front desk to house keeping, the staff was down right rude. The gentleman at the front desk said very little to myself and other customers I watched him interact with. Customer requests were met with just a "No". He didn't even try accommodate requests. On Friday evening we were at the pool with several other groups of people. There were no clean pool towels available (there were plenty of dirty ones laying around). We went to the front desk to request some. After 30 mins with no towels I went to the front desk again. After waiting another 30 minutes we walked through the lobby to our room soaking wet! I then called housekeeping for 4 towels and set the timer. After an hour I decided to call again. I was told they were delivered to the pool and she acted like I never requested them in the room. 2 towels finally arrived 10 minutes later. We were never recognized as Starwood members. We had to ask for free wi-fi. I would not recommend this hotel if you are looking for Westin quality!!
