Rated 3 out of 5 by A little disappointed in serivce room and food were excelllent As a starwood employees I was a little disappointed. The front desk agents were wonderful experience on checking in. Then I had 2 incidents with calling down for service - and neither request was fulfilled. But what offended me most was the tone used by teh server from our breakfast. We asked that he charge each rm - when one could not be chg he stood in the lobby and was very stern and rude to my guest and then to me and seemed to be surprised. May 5, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Business Trip I found this hotel to be clean. My heavenly bed great. I was attending a corporate event and our meals were fresh with great choices. I did however find the staff unattentive, with no or little warmth. No one said hello or engaged in any conversation in 3 days. This hotel is in need of renovation. Not the local peoples doing. I did visit the small bar and would share the same comments- food good , staff not July 10, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Paid full price for no AC. We arrived around midnight and went to bed just to find out in the middle of the night that the AC was not cooling well at all. Also evry couple of hours the air handler was making noise. When I told the staff in the morning it was like not a big deal we'll get to it.So long story short I paid full price for a room with no AC. Not very pleased. August 12, 2014

They offer complimentary water with the fresh fruits and nuts snacks in the lobby entrance. They offer complimentary parking. Definitely we are planning our next trip back to the same hotel. Rated 4 out of 5 by The hotel is lovely! I was a little disappointed when we arrived we were told a room with a king bed was not available. When the reservation was made a king was requested. WE were told that because we pre reserved via Orbitz as a package they are never guaranteed. I don't think we should be penalized for this. The next day we got a king bed, but we were inconvenience had to unpack and pack up in one day. July 13, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Tired Princess This is a tired property not worthy of the Westin name. A worn out princess that has seen better days. Even Scarlet O'Hara can't turn the curtains into a dress. If you literately enjoy hearing everything that goes on in the hallway and thin thread bare sheets and hard as rock past their prime towels are your thing. You are welcome to visit not to mention that you can literally hear the I-95 traffic hum in your room. Beep beep! January 29, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Room needs redo I have stayed at this hotel several times due to location on business. I had Exec Suite and was very surprised, the bathtub in 1103 has huge stain on wall in tub, the tub was cracked at end. The rooms really need a redo, it is just not up to Westin brand standards on the rooms compared to other Westins. August 12, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by My Review Overall, my stay at this hotel was good. Bartender was great...very professional, cordial, and attentive. The staff at the front desk (check in = Grace; Check Out = Lonia, and Jascinth) were all great. The check out staff even went above and beyond to help compensate for an issue with my room. Rated 4 out of 5 by Strong Location Slightly below average compared to other Westins. Check-in staff not very warm, friendly or accommodating, albeit very efficient. In my room, the Bathroom Fan and 1 of the 2 electrical outlets did NOT Work. I told the Desk person when I checked out but didn't really seem to care about my inconvenience at all. Didn't even apologize. ALSO, bathroom, although very nicely done, was way too small and cramped. December 2, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Staff is superb!!! This location in Ft. Lauderdale is top notch. The staff recognized my SPG status and promptly awarded me my gift and upgraded my family and I to a suite. Self parking is free and the location to the beach is about 15 minutes. This was my second stay at this location and both have been a pleasurable experience. Kudos to the staff. i will definitely recommend to my friends and family. June 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Business Hotel I stayed at this hotel while I was in town on a business trip. I was pleased with the level of service and attention that I received on this stay. The room was clean and well- maintained, the hotel was updated and the staff was friendly. On another note hotel-restaurant cuisine, in my experience, is notoriously horrible. This was not my experience at this hotel. I am craving the salmon dish right now. October 28, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simple Elegance I won't mention any negatives, because the staff was SO responsive to any of the few issues I had. The last time I had vacation service this responsive and so eager to please was when I was on a cruise. Comfortable, safe, convenient to everything, our 4-day stay only consumed a half tank of gas in our rental car. Close enough for night life/city life, yet far enough out for peace and quiet. Rated 4 out of 5 by Location & Comfort As a platinum SPG many times over, seen many hotels....Heavenly beds, rooms are a bit dated and need remodeling. Definitely stay here for the comfort and location. Silly issue this stay (been here before) - took over an hour and finally a call to the manager to obtain a bottle of hair conditioner for my daughter's hair...Service Express was service delay. Rated 2 out of 5 by Not getting what your expecting Both online and over the phone I was told I would get a suit with a king bed and a queen sized pull out couch, and that the pull out bed would be very comfortable, but when I arrived at the hotel with four people, there was no pull out couch and we had to cram to roll away beds into a small room. Very crowded and uncomfortable. I paid for a room that fit two, and only got a room that fit four. April 15, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by HOT ROOM This was our second time staying at this hotel in two months…The rooms were extremely HOT the AC did not work from an apparent power outage the night before. Also, the bathroom tub continuously ran all night. The hotel staff tried to accommodate as best as they could. August 11, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Cold Shoulder I stayed at this property on Christmas Day between family commitments. On arrival, the person at the front desk never bothered to look up from her book, let alone welcome me to the hotel. I did not expect a hug and a present, but an acknowledgement of the day would have been nice. The next morning, albeit early, was no better. I have never faced such rude service at a Westin property before. February 25, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Poor Customer Service I stayed at this hotel in January. In March a charge showed up on my credit card. I called and called and let messages for a staff member to explain to me what the charge was for. No one called back. I kept calling, they forwarded me to "accounting," I got only voice mail. I was not able to get anyone on the phone. The only way I got an answer was by bringing Starwood corporate on the phone. March 12, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Excellent staff, but lacks some basic ammenities Microwave/fridge 'available upon request, if available' means there are apparently only five on site. Really a fail as far as we are concerned. On the other hand, the room was nice, clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We appreciated not having to have cleaning each day. Pool and gym were clean and well maintained. July 21, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by The Hotel has wonderful staff Overall our stay was comfortable and the staff was great. Rooms were nice but we were disappointed that the beds (even tho comfortable) were not queen size which would have provided more restful nights. The elevator situation is poor with long waits which made meeting times, etc. iffy. However, the hotel is very pretty and the pool facility with food service was great. May 28, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Comfortable, but general attitude needs improvement On our recent stay we ran into a little snag with the money available to us because of the deposit I forgot to account for. That was merely the beginning of everything. During our stay, only three staff members felt as though they genuinely cared for us while we were there. Needless to say, we switched hotels the very next morning. The overall attitude made us feel unwelcome as guests. June 9, 2012

Always great value, the rooms are spacious, well laid out, comfortable and quiet. The room service has a bit more "life" to it than the usual fare in other hotels, with some fairly unique items... glad to see that they are trying to change things up a bit. June 25, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not up to Starwood Standards Many rooms not ready for check in upon arrival at 3pm on a Sunday. Elevators not in service for a day and a half. Guests had to use service elevator that required you to walk through the service/kitchen areas with trash and garbage. My understanding is that this hotel has had numerous issues with the elevators.Room had a chewed piece of chocolate on the floor when i checked in. February 27, 2014

Finally late in the evening after my thrid call someone from the front desk called and advised that the engineer needed a part to fix the problem and offered to move me to another room. A part? come on you should have every part you need to fix a thermostat or not rent out the room! May 14, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Improvement Needed! I stayed at this hotel regularly. The front reception staff especially Lynn the business travel manager were helpful and courteous. The restaurant waiting staff and the egg station chef brought me fresh baked croissant everyday. Good and commendable service. Not so much on maintenance and upkeeping of the property. Inside the shiny glass exterior wall is under-lit interior, old cabinet/furniture and faded wall paper. The equipments in the small and windowless gym were old. There was very little counter space in the always dark bathroom. On this last stay, I complained 3 times on a leaker bathtub and shower faucet and still not able to get it fixed. All the engineer had dome was to further tighten it up with a wrench. That would never work. Guess what, people need to open it! Tightening only make it difficult to pen the shower. What about replacing the cartridge/washer? Eventually I gave up and use ear plug to escape the annoying water dripping sound. I rate this property below average. July 19, 2014

Rated 3 out of 5 by this hotel is quiet hotel is at great location since it is just off the I-95. It is pretty quiet in weekdays and weekends unless there is an event during weekend. Though, this hotel does not have full restaurant on weeknights. I noticed they closed simply b/c it is too quiet. Also, this hotel needs to increase number and size of suites for upgrades for the returning/ platinum member guests. November 3, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Close but not quite I love Westin. It is my hotel of choice when I travel. The facility, the rooms, the service - all good/great without being pretentious. Ok, love maybe too strong but definitely strong like. This hotel was close but not quite what I expected from a Westin. The service was there. I was upgraded to a suite when I checked in (nice!). But, the AC didn't quite work. It said 60 on the thermostat but it wasn't anywhere close to 60. I would wake up at night feeling hot and have to throw off the covers. I called twice about it. Each time I asked for an update to be left for me, but there wasn't an update. Once I had unpacked, I wasn't going to repack and unpack for another room, so I just dealt with it. There was a small bar area in the room, but no mini-fridge, microwave oven, dishes/glasses, etc. So, why have it? Seemed like a waste. The Wifi, while free, was slow. Tough to watch Netflix in the room. Ugh. Main reason I stayed there was it was a Westin and it was close to the place I had to do business. July 19, 2014

Rated 4 out of 5 by All good but bar Waiting on a business colleague - grab a mixed drink at 6:00pm and they charged be $15 - crazy ... . Breakfast is always consistent here - but need to do better at the lounge/bar. Ladies checking in were very nice. August 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Home away from home What can you ask for...heavenly bed, dual shower head, attentive staff, friendliest bartender, Edwin..... and, even the kitchen staff compromised. I took a bag of spinach, okra and arugula and asked them to whip me up a nice stir fry and they obliged! I was in heaven! My sister and I didn't want to leave the place! Westin....great job!!! We will definitely return! August 25, 2012
