Rated 1 out of 5 by TJ1971 Worst Service of Any Hotel
I'm a big fan of Westin properties, and I have to say my stay at this hotel was incredibly disappointing (four of my colleagues staying at the same property also agree). While the lobby, bar and food quality met expectations of a good hotel, the service was extremely poor. From having to park our own car in valet (valet personnel couldn't be found on more than one occasion), to refusal of water service as well as room refresh in conference suites, the stay was more than frustrating.
Room quality was also poor. All wood surfaces (night stands, desks and conference tables) were peeling and in disrepair, towel bars were pulling from the wall, temperature of the room was poor and couldn't be adjusted, water pressure was very poor, and water temperature in the shower allowed for a lukewarm experience at best. Additionally, towels and sheets were dingy and stained.
I've stayed at this property in the past and was satisfied -- I can only assume there has been a management change for the worse. Staff was not helpful or friendly (lack of please and thank you), and service in the restaurant was very slow.
Overall, I would recommend Westin, but definitely not this location. Very disappointing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jrains2013 Needs a New Housekeeping Manager
I am not a every week business traveler so some of the reviews that talk about the update needs are warranted but those things didn't bother me as much as someone who travels all the time. I do take several business trips a year so I feel as though I am a bit more discerning than the average leisure traveler. I will say however that my biggest complaint is with the housekeeping staff. The room was not filthy but certainly not the cleanest I have ever seen. On our first morning at the hotel, the housekeeper knocked once and then proceeded to walk into our room before we were awake. Her music in her headphones were playing loudly so she did not hear us say not to come in. We told her to come back later. Then we showered and left for the day. We returned after 10:00PM that night to find the room exactly as we had left it. Beds unmade, trash not emptied, coffee not restocked, dirty towels still on the floor. I called the PBX operator and she was very pleasant. Of course both she (and the front desk attendant who talked to me afterwards) tried to convince me this never happens and asked if I had put a DND sign on the door. I assured them I hadn't and told them what had happened that morning with the housekeeper. I also told them I had read the hotel reviews and know this is not a freak accident but occurs a lot. I was given free breakfast coupons for my trouble.
This hotel needs to fire their housekeeping manager and get someone who will make sure simple things (and complex things as well) get done.
I will say the PBX and Front Staff were very kind and helpful.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Onewink Has potential
Upon arrival I pulled up in front and checked in without issue. I then requested a luggage cart and what a mistake that was. They keep them locked up in a room so you have to request them. One of the gentleman inside brought one out to me inside of the hotel and then asked how long I needed it. Really? I responded that I was going to unload my car, bring my bags to the room and return it to the lobby. He then let go of the cart. As I wheeled out to my car I was literally attacked by the luggage handlers. I did not need any assistance just the cart but they persisted and harassed me! They said that I could not take the cart out of the front area and that I needed to pull my car around to unload. Mind you it was a holiday weekend plus there were 2 weddings going on so I barely got a parking in the parking lots covered area. After we haggled for a few minutes he followed me to my car with the cart! Really? He then basically jumped in front of me and began taking my stuff out of the car even though I clearly told him I did not need assistance. This was pretty aggravating to me, like being harassed at a car dealership. Long story short he basically busted into the room and as I unloaded my stuff he waited with his hand out for a tip. ). I am not sure why the luggage handlers are so aggressive but that was an immediate turn off (more on them at the end). Not a good way to start my long weekend. The room was nice and spacious but could use a little updating. The only real issue I had with the room it that right in front of the A/C vent there was a wet spot on the floor ( I guessed condensation). The front desk staff was great always being courteous and helpful. They accommodated my late checkout request with no problem. The food was the bar and restaurant was good. The room had a lakeside view and the grounds were very nicely kept. Upon checkout I ran into another incident with the luggage handlers! They were all busy and away from there station when I went to checkout. After waiting about 5 minutes I asked the concierge if I could have a cart for check. He gave it to me with no problem. However, as I wheeled it to the elevator to go to my room I passed 3 separate luggage handlers whom each stopped me and asked where I got the cart from. I told them from the concierge and kept it moving. As The elevator opened the last of the 3 asked again and I gave the same response. I also added that they pretty tight on the cart usage and his response was “gotta make that money”. I understand that tips are important but clearly the customer needs to be focus not the $$ to be made. For those that don’t need assistance can we please have the cart and be left alone? Overall the stay was pleasant, just need to get those handlers in order.
