Beautiful Hotel close to everything. But, we had no hot water at 9am on 12/07/2013. I called and they called back an hour later and said we would have hot water in next 10 minutes. Wife took cold shower and me and the little girls didn't get a shower. We had to leave as we had some obligations. Also when wife took cold shower it wouldn't drain (gross). Standing in dirty water. Last upon arrival I had to call housekeeping to pick up a pair of dirty socks left by previous guest. I refused to pick them up as you don't know whats on them. I love the hotel. Its beautiful but my family had a bad experience. Hopefully Starwood makes it right.

I signed up for the green program at check in. the way it was explained was the towels would not be replaced in exchanged for a $5 coupon. That sounds great. But it turned out the Green Program means they don't come clean your room AT ALL, not just not changing the towels. If I had known that I wouldn't signed up. I had garbage and left over food that just sat there in the bins.At least the program should mean you still come remove the garbage and tidy up the room. Needless to say, the second night I cancelled my Green program and went back to the full services..

Rated 2 out of 5 by Bob1939 Very disappointed
My first encounter at the front desk was unpleasant. I was told I was not expected. I gave my confirmation number which they said listed someone else. Luckily I had the message from the Westin with my name and confirmation number on my phone. Such can happen, but the lady at the desk was unpleasant about it -totally unsympathetic (at the end of her shift?) When we want to check out there was a long slow line and only one check out clerk. Luckily the concierge told me I did not need to check out. ( I had not received a bill under my door.) Car pickup was slow slow and disorganized. Escalator not working. Elevators slow or not working. etc. etc
We usually stay at the ___ - ___ across the street.- you could learn a lot from them! We hope not to be back at the Westin. (The reservation was made for us by our organization.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by TimCandy Magnificent stay
Westin went above and beyond to make our first stay with their hotel very memorable. We were greeted with a smile we were provided with amenities that we did not expect, and we were treated with the greatest of courtesies from the staff. We will recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking and we will return as soon as possible.

My floor was full of Auburn fans so Saturday night was loud.
The room was small but nice. The bed was comfortable and I liked being "green" and keeping the cleaning staff out of the room.
However, be careful of the "Complimentary Water." It costs $4.32 a bottle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Russell48 Hotel Staff were wonderful
The hotel staff were very curteous and always had a smile and were prompt when asked for service. They helped with transportation back to the airport, delivered extra coffee to the room, gave directions to local restaurant, and even printed out my boarding pass for my flight home.

Rated 3 out of 5 by AgentSP Good views and exterior design
I had high hopes for this hotel while travelling for work, but after having stayed for 3 nights so far, I'm less than pleased.
*Extensive construction work going on in the lobby.
I understand the work has to go on, but at least make signage more visible or apparent on where locations are for reception, elevators, restaurants, etc. Also, would it be so bad to offer some amenities for the inconvenience of construction work and the lack of the "Westin experience" due to it? Even something as simple as free wi-fi would go a long way to ease the issue
*High-pitched whining sound on floor 47 (and possibly others)
This sound at first sounded like a vacuum cleaner but after it persisted for the first 2 days, it was apparent that it was something in the central column or electrical closet of the building that was making the noise. On my first 2 nights on floor 47, it was sometimes audible even with the TV on. On my 3rd night on floor 43, it's not as audible but still noticeable when it's quiet.
*Self-park garage is among the worst I've ever seen
Space for 7-10 cars per "floor", two-way ramps that are in no way sized to allow 2 cars to pass at the same time, very dirty and run-down floors, extremely run down stairwells, and of course, no elevators at all.
*Lack of the signature Westin scent
Not a big deal, but I always looked forward to the Westin signature aroma. Also seems like the toiletries have been changed so that there is no Heavenly body wash, just bar soap.

Rated 2 out of 5 by SM4506 Expensive room with costly extras
I would expect that for the price I paid that internet would be included. It was an additional $15/day charge! Very inconvenient. In addition, there was a refrigerator in the room, but you could not use it unless you paid extra! Again, those types of things should be included in the price for the room. I would warn business travelers of these additional expenses.
