Rated 2 out of 5 by Sara24 Still awaiting response to my concerns
The main issues I had with my business stay in late June were: construction noise after midnight (on a week night), apathetic staff when I voiced my concerns/requested relief from the construction noise, and loss of water from the shower/brown water coming out of the sink. I was in a renovated room and once I switched to a non-renovated room had no further issues. I sent a written letter to the hotel 1 month ago with full details of my stay and have not yet been contacted, which is quite disappointing.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Frog Not a good experience
We stayed at the Westin for a work event. The hotel was clean and the staff that we interacted with was very pleasant. The problem I saw, is that they didn't have enough staff to cover the amount of people that were staying in the hotel. Most times it took 30 minutes to get on the elevator. The valet parking was full and we were directed to park at their over flow deck and our vehicle was broken into. At this time, they have made no gesture to help in that matter stating that "that was not their lot".

Rated 3 out of 5 by LS12 Certainly the least desirable Westin I have stayed in.
While the staff provided excellent service, I was disappointed with the room and the hallway directly outside the room. There were rolling shelved carts of towels and a used tray of food sitting in the hallway all night. The room was clean and provided the necessary amenities but had one of the smallest bathrooms I have ever had in a hotel of this caliber. The bed sheets were rough and scratchy though the bed itself was comfortable. However, the views of the city outside the window were very nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Cathryn Dragon*Con - Great!
Once again, the Westin passed through Dragon*Con with flying colours. Each year, over Labor Day weekend, the nerdiest-of-the-nerds take over downtown Atlanta and fill every conference room, ballroom, and hallway with costumed geeks raving to see their favorite actors, writers, and artists. We fill each hotel to capacity, and the Westin responded marvelously - our room was kept tidy and stocked, their staff maintained wonderful and helpful attitudes, and we definitely recommend them for the future.

Rated 3 out of 5 by momb a tough week for a Passion Conference
Arrived at 3:30pm and weer told that our 5 rooms would not be ready until 9pm. 2 adults missed the first conference due to this. When trying to go to our rooms later that night, waited for the elevator for 30 minutes, and finally took the stairs - 19 floors up. No help or assistance at elevators or anywhere else by staff. Reservation desk was rude when we asked for an extra key. Busboy enjoyed sticking his foot in the door on our arrival so that the turning door would stop and people were hitting their heads on the glass. Evidently remodeling was going on upstairs, because we awoke to noise that sounded like heavy hammering each morning. Overall, not a good experience. The only plus was that the rooms were lovely and the hotel as well. Staff was not friendly nor helpful. Will not be back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by BamaBlew Great Hotel SPG benefits absent
As an SPG member, I expected to get better room selection. We were placed right by the ice machine and on a floor with lots of noisy guests. Someone who takes the time to join a hotel chain's membership rewards program, should be given certain benefits. One of which should be preferential room assignment. We shouldn't have to REQUEST these things either. That said, the Heavenly beds, bathroom, amenities were first class as usual. We love the uniqueness of the Peachtree Plaza--and the convenience.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Horses1 Hard to sleep
Having stayed at this Westin many times , I was shocked that the bed was as hard as a rock! Very little sleep as a result. Also, not being able to control the fan on the AC was a nightmare. It would randomly kick into HI and make a LOT of noise , then shut off. Guests used to be able to control the fan, but try as we might, there was no controlling it. The shower was GRAND, and the bathroom lighting was very good. Hope the next time I am there on business, these issues will be resolved.

The customer service at the front desk was superb! I was asked with enthusiasm if my wife and where staying for a special occasion. I told the rep. Yes our 5 year anniversary. The rep. Responded by saying I am going to find you the best room and give you and your wife a complimentary bottle of wine. When my wife and I opened the door of our room we were blown away! The renovation and view of this room where incredible! Thank you so Westin Sun Dial for making my wife and I anniversary so special!

Rated 5 out of 5 by TahlenaSun Best hotel experience I've ever had!
Stayed on the 57th floor & the view of Atlanta was breathtaking. The heavenly bed & heavenly shower were wonderful. The location of this hotel couldn't be any better. We were steps away from every thing we had planned to do in Atlanta, (CNN studio tour, Coca Cola tour, Aquarium). Oh, and I absolutely loved having a Starbucks in the lobby. This was by far the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. I will choose the Westin every time I come back to Atlanta.

Rated 3 out of 5 by PeachDrop2012 Unprepared for the crazy New Year's Crowd?
Due to the huge influx of people for NYE, the staff service was spotty at this older, but well kept hotel with amazing views of the City. The rooms were recently renovated, but ours lacked a remote control for the TV (that was never delivered when we asked for one at the front desk). The Sundial restuarant was outstanding, but little things like the room phone not working and taking 20 minutes to find an elevator that wasn't full to check out of the hotel made the stay a little frustrating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dede47 Wonderful hotel
The only thing about this hotel that needs to be worked on, is the bathroom. Our bathroom drain was rusty and the tile around the tub looked like mold was growing in the grout. Fantastic employees, easy access around hotel, and very comfortable bedding.

Rated 4 out of 5 by alcd Stayed for a large conference
The Westin is a beautiful hotel and about 7 blocks from Phillips Arena/GWCC (within walking distance). The rooms are nice and the beds are super comfy. It was clean and mostly well-staffed. I was in town for a large conference, so the hotel was crowded. I did encounter several helpful employees; however, several of my travel mates (including myself) experienced issues with billing. I imagine this was due to having multiple people in a room that all wanted to pay their portion of the bill.

Rated 3 out of 5 by byronkl A little disappointing for a Westin
I was unimpressed with the hotel. Nothing terrible, but certainly the hotel didn't rise to the level of service one would expect. For example; I had to run into the hotel lobby for a minute - literally - and asked the valet not to move my car. He of course did and when I came out, my car was gone and they couldn't find it. It took over 15:00 to find my car in the garage. But what was most frustrating was that one person after another - the valet, the cashier, another valet, and another all kind of shrugged their shoulders and said they didn't know where it was.
Another disappointing feature was the restaurant. $22 for a breakfast buffet, and the food was cold? The eggs, pancakes, potatoes, etc. were obviously out for an hour or more. It would have been a poor breakfast at Denny's, but at a Westin

Rated 1 out of 5 by FrankB Surprisingly bad.
Because of gold status, I got "upgraded" to a larger room when I checked in that smelled like mold. Front desk said they will reaccomodate me in a minute. After 20 minute wait, I called them, they didnt even apologize, they moved us from floor 65 to floor 17 into a smaller room for disabled people. In the middle of taking a shower, I discovered there are no shampoos. I got out to contact front desk, grabbed a towel that had brown stains all over it. Over all, the worst stay in any hotel.

Rated 3 out of 5 by allen61 Disappointing Stay
I will say that the best part of our stay was our check-in. The employee was as courteous as any I've experienced and made us feel as if we were the only one's she had to care for. Unfortunately, we checked in at 1530 (I assume your peak check-in time) but there were only 2 people working the desk! This made for a very slow time of it. We requested a fan for our room but didn't receive it until after 3 more calls and 6 hours. The coffee maker in our room didn't work. Further, there was no room cleaning performed on Saturday even though we were out of room for >6 hours (1030-1630). Then on Sunday, our son had no hot water to wash with in his room. The valet service also seemed to be understaffed as each time we got our car it took an excessive amount of time. All and all, not a very good experience.

Rated 3 out of 5 by jack1260 Wasnt what we expected
We arrived and the staff was helpful. Overall we were not satisfied with the room. The bathroom was dark and small. The room was outdated carpets dark not at all like the photos shown. We had to travel to different floors to get ice because the ice machine on our floor wasnt working. I was really spoiled by visiting the Westin near our home in Charlotte NC. It is beautiful, bright, clean and when we walked in this room it was nothing at all like what we were use to from the Westin. Parking is horrific and staff need to explain better about your options of parking. We parked in the deck only to find out that u dont have access to in and out unless you pay each time. This was explained to us after we asked and had to pay to get car out of the parking deck and pay another fee to have irt Valet parked.

Rated 1 out of 5 by juliedbo customer service was very lacking this trip!!!!!
I have stayed at the westing many times for the markets. This weekend was my worst experience ever. We arrived in our room to wet carpet. After an hour and a half someone finally came and had no idea why the carpet was wet. We called for extra towels and NEVER received them after 3 calls. The day we were checking out we called for luggage assistance. After waiting for 40 minutes, we carried our own luggage out. The convenience to the market is GREAT, but it is not a necessity.

Rated 2 out of 5 by TMCG Less than accomodating
During my recent stay, I left behind personal items. When I called to have the items sent to me, I was put through a lengthy process in order to have my items returned. After providing my credit card and request to have the items returned, I asked to have them sent immediately. The hotel security ( Kevin) sent the items three days after he promised them. I am highly disappointed with the LACK of customer service provided by this particular hotel Not what I am accustomed to at a Westin.

Rated 2 out of 5 by redneckwoman Beware - renovations!
We were not told prior to/at booking/at check-in that there are renovations going on at the hotel. After a long drive that morning, we checked-in at 3pm and needed to sleep. There was constant drilling above our room - it was so noisy. I called reception, but they said all rooms could hear the noise. They did not have any lower rooms (which may have been quieter) available. Not a restful stay! I was given extra starpoints on check out as compensation, but not enough to be of any value.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Spiritark Needs an overhaul/refurbishment
What you will note across various corners of the Westin Peachtree can probably be summed into one word, 'Old'. I think the room furnishing does need a little revamp, as do the bathroom tiles, carpets and more. Even the sky bar was a bit of a disappointment in terms of both service and ambience.
That said, the hotel's location is really good if you are travelling for business around the vicinity, though I must say that there isn't a good selection of food around the area late at night.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Husbandofahappywife Great Choice for 10th Anniversary!!
I surprised my wife by booking a room and dinner (at the Sun Dial) for our 10th anniversary. The staff was EXCELLENT!! Susan, who took our reservation was able to work out a higher floor and a couple of other perks once she found out the occassion. Bentley, who checked us in, was the model of great customer service! Eddie the bellman and Erick the vallet both made sure we were taken care of! The view, oh the view! We were on the 58th floor overlooking the CNN Center, GA Dome, Phillips Arena, Centennial Park, the GA Aquariam and more (5803 if you're interested). So on a peanut budget, we had a cashew anniversary :) The restaurant was pricey, the lounge and bar was pricey, the live music was great!! I definitely recommend this hotel for a special occassion. BTW, we live in Marietta, GA so 20 min drive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Monkey63 The Sun Dial view is spectacular!
The hotel was beautiful. The view from the Sun Dial was amazing! The food was OK. Not enough bar tenders. The staff members were very friendly and helpful. I was there for a company banquet and some of the guest had to pay $20 to park across the street because the hotel parking lot was full. One lady missed the banquet because she could not find a parking space. Hopefully this was due to the number of cheerleaders in town for a competition. I would definitely stay here again though.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MrB1 Two problems
I enjoyed the new room for my 44 day stay.
There were two problems that should be addressed. The first being the hallway acoustics. Being a round concrete building. Everything could be heard while in my room. From the continuous sound of the elevators, to any person in the hallway. The second problem where the room keys that continually didn't work. Very frustrating when returning with handfuls of laundry or other items. The front desk was well aware of the problem. Please fix it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anita712 Service above and beyond expectations
I was hesitant to reserve a room after reading some comments, but I do not regret my decision to stay at the Peachtree Plaza! Even though the hotel is currently being renovated, the staff was quick to ask that if we have any issues, to please let them know. The valet service was beyond belief. The gift shop and other ammenities were not over priced. There were a couple of family reunions which created constant chaos in the elevators and lobby, but otherwise the stay was wonderful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by jccco a couple of things
We were booked into a handicap room, not very appealing. changed to another , this near the elevators which whined all night. We left our credit card at the restaurant and called down to have it sent to Security who then phoned us 2x @ 2:45 a.m. Otherwise all was fine...except for the noisy guests in the hall late on Sat. night...

The view from my room was spectacular. The bed was very comfortable and the shower had very good water pressure. The hotel had many amenities. With the exception of a very rude housekeeper, my stay was very enjoyable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by grandma The service at the Westin was impeccable.
The service and the staff were exemplary. The room and especially the bathroom were very small, although it was very clean. The elevators were confusing. I thought the cafe was way too expensive! They ran out of parking and we had to park next door, which turned out to be a good thing, since parking at the hotel was $20 a night! and the parking garage was only $5. When you pay for this nice of a hotel, parking should be included, and there should be enough for all of the guests.
