STAFF EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS....CAME IN DISAPPOINTED THAT AN EVENT IN ATLANTA WAS CANCELLED THAT WE BROUGHT MY NINE YEAR TO FOR HIS BIRTHDAY. PERSON CHECKING ME IN SENT UP MILK AND COOKIES FOR HIM AND HIS FRIEND. THEY WERE SUPER EXCITED AND YOU KNOW WE ALL LIKE WHEN OUR CHILDREN ARE HAPPY. LOVED THE LOCATION. DID HAVE AN ISSUE WITH THE CLEANLINESS OF THE FLOOR....COULD HAVE BEEN VACUUMED A LITTLE BETTER.

This hotel will be a GREAT once they finish with the renovations. The rooms were bad and smelly, garbage under the bed, I found a bloody bandaid under one of the beds, the bathroom faucet handle came off, it was red stains on the floor it was a host of other problems with the room. the staff was okay but not very understanding. In less then 12hrs i had to change my room 3 times and this is not the Westin way.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Dominick Convenient hotel
Westin Peachtree most convenient to Americas Mart. Love the bedding and staff very courteous. However, July stay wasn't pleasant as air conditioning wasn't operating properly in my room. Either 64 degrees or 79 degrees so I was bundled up and couldn't sleep well. Four engineers were up to my room but said it was manuafacturer's faulty equipment. Front desk gave me $100 food credit but it was still unpleasant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mbnkwesi Overall Excellent, but had a few glitches
Loved the location, even though it was hard to find on the street level. Check-in was efficient, and clerk, a late 30's African-American male was friendly and helpful. The Starbucks attendent on Saturday morning was efficient but acted like she wished she wasn't at work. The concierge Saturday night was very friendly and helpful. The server in the lounge Saturday night was friendly and able to process the discount quickly even though she was busy. The server in the Cafe Sunday morning, was friendly but when I presented my card for discount with a credit card she only brought back the cc slip but not the not the recepit that showed the discount. When I asked about it she said that the 50% was taken off and then 18% was added, but it took a few more minutes to track her down to get the information. The food on the buffet was ok, though the eggs were a little hard and flavorless.

Rated 2 out of 5 by david321 My stay at Westin Atlanta
The hotel was beautiful and my room was perfect. The reason for my low rating was how ridiculously long it took to get checked in and checked out. After driving four hours to Atlanta, all I wanted was to get checked in and get some dinner. I did not expect to have to stand in line 20 minutes to get checked in. Can't you provide a self-check in service? I don't need to talk to a person - all I need is a room key! When it was time to check out, I needed to get on the road because of the freezing rain that was falling on Friday (Jan 25th). After waiting in line 5 minutes and seeing that it would be another 15-20 minutes to check out, I gave up. I needed a receipt, but just went to my car so I could start my trip home before the roads got too bad. I loved the hotel and the room, but will never stay in the Westin Atlanta again because of the horrible wait to get checked in and out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by JoeSmoker Several items need work
The staff was very friendly and helpful and the hotel room and facilities were nice. There were a few issues, though. Breakfast at the Cafe was very bland and the bacon in particular looked and tasted like charcoal. The indoor pool area looked very nice but it was not warm enough to stay in for very long. Finally, I smoke and the only designated smoking areas that I could find were at the front and at the parking entrance; both adjacent to the sidewalk right on the street. This allowed beggars to get right in my face. It felt unsafe because one in particular turned belligerent when I refused to give him money. I would not stay here again for this reason alone. I find it hard to believe that a property this large would not have a balcony above street level or equivalent restricted access location that could be offered for late night smoking since that has to be done outside now.

First thing I recognized is that coming into bottom from valet area needs updating...looks old...Second standard room hardly any moving room.. this is the smallest standard room I've been in at any Westin...There was in hair in shower in multiple places and on back of bathroom door before I used it, which tells me room was not cleaned well at all...Lucky I carry my lysol and other cleaners and did it myself

Rated 4 out of 5 by EMMR Clean and beautiful remodelling
The recently remodelled rooms are beautiful, clean, comfortable and well-equipped. The views are impressive. The staff are professional, pleasant and responsive. There are HVAC problems, especially in the meeting facilities. The food is OK, but nothing to write home about. Still, it is in a terrific central location and I felt well taken care of, so I would gladly stay there again if I found a good deal.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Will Should not be a Westin
I stay in SPG properties all around the world and am very familiar with the Westin brand. Unfortunately, this hotel lacks the quality of service I would expect. From not having the front desks staffed (including the SPG gold/platinum desk) on several occasions to being unable to provide a car or taxi to the airport with 24 hours of advanced notice, there is very little I can say deserves the name Westin.

I understand that your hotel was at capacity but it took 2 hours to get our room service breakfast. I have a son that was hungry, when I ordered I was quoted a 1 hour delivery time. Whe I called in 1 hour I was told that quote was incorrect, it would be an hour and a half. When I called back in an hour and a half I was told it was on the way. It arrived thirty minutes later, two hours is unexceptible!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Palmtree A hotel apart from the others
I travel frequently for business and personal reasons and rarely have time to write reviews but this Westin stood out from the crowd for several reasons:
*Digital saavy - advance email of hotel features, directions, that I could look at over the weekend on MY time.
*Consistency - Everything from hotel staff to the room to the amenities was excellent.
Thanks SPG - you will get my business again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LadyGray2780 Wonderful Xmas
Although the weather was bad Xmas, and we did not have a view of the city from the 65th floor, the overall stay made a wonderful Xmas. The heaven bad was amazing, my husband loved it so much that he now wants to buy one. The staff was excellent and very helpful in meeting all our needs. The weather did clear up and we were able to see the city about 5:30AM and watch the sunrise. The stay was wonderful.

Rated 4 out of 5 by IS96 Wonderful hotel - BUT request a room away from the ice marchine!
Lovely room, great location, super facility, BUT hotel was at capacity and our room was across from the VERY LOUD ice machine - the constant hum was unbearable and the ice dropping actually woke us up! First night, they had turned it off and everything was fine, second night someone turned it back on & it woke us during the night! Finally able to change rooms and the balance of the stay was wonderful!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Wilbur Room renovated
I stay at this property 2-3 times per year, and have had some terrible experiences at this facility. Finally got a renovated room for the first time and it was nice and clean. Overall the place still needs overhauling, but I am sure they are working on it. Had trouble with room keys as usual during this stay and had to call front desk twice. Television problems first night, but OK by the next morning.

Tried to check-in at 8:30 pm and was met with a line of 25+ conventioneers checking in as well... only 2 front desk people working at the time....same crap in the am when checking out ...only this time it was ONE person working. did not receive a card for the 500 points to be eco-friendly but the room/bath still was not cleaned. had to tell front desk to add my points...not sure that happened either.

Rated 5 out of 5 by photoJim Night time views of Atlanta skyline are beathtaking.
This hotel is one of the tallest buildings in the Atlanta skyline. The night time room views are quite impressive BUT the 72nd floor has a observation deck that gives you a vantage point that you'll never forget. The only factor that wasn't optimal about this facility is the room size seems smaller than average. The building is round and the rooms are wedge shaped. Overall, an exceptional experience.

I was told to come back 3 times when trying to pay for my last night. At check-in I was unsure if we would be staying for the final night but later decided to stay. Every time I tried to pay for it I was told to come back later. This really got to the point of being ridiculous. They did try to make it up by sending a gift basket to the room but I just wish they had done their jobs to begin with.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LoisJ Great stay at IWF
I've stayed in this hotel twice for IWF & both times it was great. The hotel is modern, clean, & comfortable. The MARTA is easy to travel to/from airport. The hotel is within walking distance of the conference center, the aquarium, Olympic park, & great restaurants. The beds are 'heavenly'. Ask for one of the new renovated rooms. Staff was friendly & helpful. Starbucks in the lobby is always a plus.

Rated 2 out of 5 by BdNick 5 star hotel with 1 star service
It is a luxurious hotel with bad service. The check in counter was rude, I had the cleaning service walk in on me without knocking, people knocking on my door two hours before check out to ask me do I plan on staying another night and valet lost my car. The room was nice and clean. We had a beautiful view of the city.

Rated 5 out of 5 by torsca Friendly staff, nice location
I really enjoyed my stay at the Westin. Was here for a conference, and it's in an easy to access location (right off the MARTA, which is 20 minutes to the airport). All of the staff I encountered were more than great. The only thing was that the pool is not a pool for lap swimming (too small, and it was split into two smaller halves with a lane divider), and the water was pretty muggy.

Rated 2 out of 5 by frustrated You have to be kidding!?
Although I appreciate the upgrade to a suite, having just one room with the combination of a working phone and wifi that's better than "fair" or "good" is more important to me. Given the wifi issues, it would considerate of you to provide wired connections (not just wires that connect to nothing).
Overall, one of the most aggravating and time-wasting stays I've ever experienced at an SPG property.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Cla28 Self Park vs. Valet Parking
The parking garage is extremely narrow and eerie for a female traveler arriving at 11p.m. and having to park on the 7th level but drag luggage down to the 3rd level to enter the hotel(no elevator in garage). Tip: Choose valet parking over self parking at this location.

Rated 3 out of 5 by DBMI Small details missing
Blinking message light on phone was not turned off when requested; staff member said he would do so, but it never happened. The fluorescent light in the bathroom flickered. This could be dangerous for persons with seizure disorders. We could not turn the AC back on after we had turned it off because of the noise.
Dining in the hotel was inconvenient.
Exercise facilities were great!

Rated 1 out of 5 by Banker This hotel has serious issues
I have been by disappointed with my stay in this hotel. First, the tap water tasted awful when I checked in. However, upon calling Service Express, the engineer came up with several bottles of bottled water, and after testing the tap water, told me that there was no malfunction, but it was the taste of tap water in Atlanta. Second, my room was extremely cold, and when I raised the temperature, the fan noise was so loud I could not sleep. Third, I requested in the morning for my room to be cleaned before 3 pm when I was returning. When I returned, my room was not cleaned. Fourth, I tried to phone Service Express to complain about my room not being cleaned, but the phone was not working in the room. I had to use my cell phone to call the hotel through the external switchboard. The switchboard told me that they would call me back to test my phone, and me hour later, no one has called me back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JWR1 Dog Barking
I stayed in room 6411 on June 21 and 22. I complained three times Friday night about a barking dog in 6410. They sent security up and he heard the dog. I thought it was handled but the dog continued to bark until 2AM. I called and held the phone up for the operator to hear and verify my complaint. I finally went to sleep and hoped that they would check out the next day. The barking continued Saturday night but I did not complain because it did not do any good the first three times. I talked to an assistant manager Saturday morning besides calling and thought that Saturday evening would be a pleasant evening. I was told that pets are supposed to be on the 20 and 21st floors only so I thought that they would be moved on Saturday. Very disappointed. I will continue to stay at other SPG locations but not this one and will go through the proper channels to inform other travelers of my unsatisfactory stay.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JRA66 Great hotel - needs to be cleaner
Loved the hotel, its location, the uniqueness of the round building and the view. But for the quality of hotel and the price, it was the dirtiest room I have ever stayed in. And I travel a lot. The bathroom looked as though it had not been cleaned from the previous guest. Used cups lying around, the coffee maker was not cleaned, and towels were not restocked. I expected more from a quality hotel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Chrys3 Great staff at the Westin
Every Staff member was very helpful & courteous during our stay - especially during check in. He went above what was expected to accomodate our family. The only recommendation is to have more attendants at parking/valet (during peak periods). The wait was long but we understood considering it was March NCAA playoff time. The great staff, beautiful room & hotel views more than made up for this!

Rated 2 out of 5 by MKTMouse Walker Stalker Convention
Well, place was nice but I am disappointed with the price/quality. Chunky, dry, red substance on carpet and dirt spots/hair on floor (at check in) indicates room was NOT totally cleaned prior to our check-in. The hotel is a maze, the few signs indicating locations of stuff (ie; 5th floor signs says go to 6th floor and 6th floor signs say go to 5th floor) were a mess, were never told how to use the oddly set up and very slow elevators (scan room key, only certain ones go to certain floors) we learned from other guests. The hotel is under construction, it would have been nice to know PRIOR to my decision to stay there. It was dirty looking and I would have liked an informed choice. Again, no signs posted at the "front" of the building (closed for construction) indicate you have to drive around and UNDER the building to park until you get to the side of the building you have to enter (and drive around the block 3 times). Valet parking attendant (same lady behind desk Sat and Sun) was rude, impatient and snippy to us, other patrons and to the staff. One valet attendant got upset with us when we told him that we simply wanted to retrieve items from our vehicle, not to leave "Well, nobody told me THAT!" I told him I did tell the (rude) lady at the desk and I was sorry if she didn't get that message to him. Not even a thank you when I tipped his rude behavior and waited 22 minutes for my car that I needed for 3 minutes. Both days I waited at valet, the men in gray shirts ignored me, walked right by me several times. In fact the only person who offered to help us with our heavy bags was a hotel employee upstairs, not even valet!! like I said, hotel was "nice" I could take it or leave it, considering this was my first time with The Westin, I may try it again if the price was better but not in a hurry to run back there again either. (the BED was AWESOME though!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by 2happytravelers The staff was excellent - very helpful and freindly.
From check in to check out everyone was very helpful. Even the security guards greeted us as we walked by. Donny took time to chat with us in the morning about where we ate the night before. (the sundial - where we enjoyed a very nice meal.) The valet parking crew just took the hectic parking time all in stride and helped everyone with a smile.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BusTravel Disappointed in service!
I stayed at the Atlanta Westin on a business trip in April 2013. Upon check-in, the rate given did not reflect the rate shown to my peers group rate and the hotel was unable to adjust this. I was told to call the 1-800, only they could adjust rates. They could not find my reservation and had no knowledge of my stay. Room keys given to me for an OCCUPIED room with a man currently in the room!
