When we checked in at the Westin - there was nobody at the desk. After waiting for close to 10 min, we finally asked the valet to call somebody. The man that came out to check us in was rude & acted like we were inconveniencing him. After he typed all the necessary info into the computer - he answered a phone call & handed me my room key with the number written on the card. I stood at the desk for a bit longer & he finally turned his back to me - guess this signaled he was done with me. Upon entering our room - there was no closet, no luggage stand. Will we stay at the Westin again - possibly. We were there for a large cheer competition & it was convenient with the skywalk to the convention center. We were disappointed in our room set-up & the rudeness of the reception person.

Great location. The public areas (restaurant, lobby, meeting rooms, etc) and staff were Westin quality. The rooms were not Westin quality. The double queen bed rooms were not queen beds, they were full size double beds. The bathroom was very small and dim. The water pressure was very poor, in the whole hotel not just my room. The sink and tub did not drain properly and the shower head was coming out of the wall. The front desk staff, conierge, housekeepers, meeting staff were all top notch. But the valet was a joke. We arrived Friday night an valeted. Saturday at noon we left to walk to lunch and our car was still in the driveway with the keys in it from 20 hours ago! No one knew why. No one called us. No one moved the car. I'm glad it didn't storm, or worse, no one drove off in it.

The bed, the experience was not heavenly. The comforter is way too heavy, and when you remove, where do you put it? The temperature of my room was stifling when I entered, and the sounds during the night were ominous at best. Very disappointing. Not of Westin quality.

Our reservation got canceled and we don't know how. They could not accommodate our entire original reserved stay.
Food and parking too expensive and no restaurant except Shulas! Couldn't get AC to work in our room

The hotel was very nice & what I would expect from a Westin. I was, however, disappointed to discover that when I wanted to print out a boarding pass, there was a per-minute fee for the computer and a charge for the printer. I did not use the hotel printer but left my conference early to get my boarding pass at the airport.

The hotel while looking very nice, it was too expensive to park, the room was just plain, nothing very nice compared to what you see when you walk in the hotel, there was a spot of blood on the sheets, that we didn't notice until the next morning...and there was a maid cart in the hallway all night, that had a pile of bloody towels beside it, I told the hotel at check out, but they didn't really say anything.
I got the room through price line, but it was still a decent amount paid, and the view I got was of roofs of other buildings, guess that's what you get when you don't pay full price. The only thing good was it was connected to the convention center where we were going.

Our stay at the Westin was fabulous....the staff from the front desk to maintenance to servers and housekeeping were all welcoming and helpful. WTG! Kudos!

The staff went above and beyond. My son in law didn't know how to tie his tie for the wedding we were attending, so the bartender did it for us. Very nice!!

I stayed July 6th and 7th in SPG King Suite 709 and the Bedroom AC was not up to the task of keeping the BR cool. When I first went to the room the BR AC was not cooling at all and after a half hour of waiting for the compressor to come on, which it didn't, I called the Front Desk to report the issue. I waited an hour and no one ever showed up we decided to go to dinner. We came back a few hours later and the AC was still not working. I called back down to the desk and reported the issue again and waited about an hour again no one showed up. I had to go into the BR and noticed the AC was cooling so I called back to the Front Desk to let them know it was working. Sometime during the course of the night the AC quit working again and I woke up in the middle of the night the bed and I were soaked with sweat. I changed clothes and went back to bed after finding a small dry spot to sleep. The next morning I went to the Front Desk to report the problem and was told it would be taken care of, they did provide some compensation, so we went to breakfast only to return to the room to find the bed made but still no AC. So I made my 4th or 5th call/trip to the Front Desk for the same issue to report the problem still wasn't fixed. About an hour later the 1st person showed up to my room that I saw to fix the issue. The AC worked great all day until, you guessed it, that night. For the 2nd night in a row I had wake up drenched in sweat, change clothes and find another dry spot to sleep. I went to the Front Desk again to report the issue again and was told that they couldn't compensate me again even though they never fixed the issue but offered me SPG points. I told the Front Desk person why would I want points for a hotel brand that I wouldn't be staying in again. All I got was a blank look.
My girlfriend has been staying here for years for work and has told me that this is not the norm and we plan on coming back to Indy in Aug and has convinced me to give it one more try.

Upon arrival, the front desk was very nice and helpful. The lobby is beautiful, but the hotel is in need of an upgrade. The room was very dark, and the desk outlets are inconveniently located. There was no vending area in the entire hotel, only the ridiculously-priced snacks in the room. After searching for an ice bucket for 10 minutes, it smelled so badly we didn't dare use it. The only helpful employee was housekeeping. We stayed one night to attend a football game the next afternoon. We missed the breakfast, so we went to Shula's to grab some lunch before heading to the game. The hostess at Shula's was very rude and short and asked if we had a reservation. We weren't aware we needed one, so as she sighed heavily, she informed us we would have to wait while she "checked to see if someone could wait on us." After 10 minutes, she informed us someone would get our table prepared. It would be about three minutes. 10-15 minutes later we were still waiting, so we left. It was a very smug and snooty greeting considering we paid $255/night to stay in the hotel and we were not just people walking in off the street to eat. It was a very overpriced, unpleasant experience.

We stayed at this hotel while attending a conference in town. The location of the hotal was in great proximity to the convention center as well as local restaurants and entertainment. All staff members were nice and helpful. The rooms were very quiet, especially ours that was right around the corner from the elevators and high traffic areas.
The only two negatives were the size of the bathroom and the amount required to park your car everyday.

1) I called at 6:30 PM to have the toilet fixed. I left for dinner and returned at 11:30. Toilet had NOT been repaired. I called again at 7:30 am the next morning. I left for breakfast and when I returned at 9:30 the toilet was still not fixed. I could not use my hotel toilet.
2) I was offered 1000 points. This is fair but I do not see them listed which means I need to find time to ask.
3) Where are the points for my two night stay?

I ask for a receipt every time and only about 50% of the time do I receive one in my email. I need receipts to send to my company for reimbursement and I hate having to call the accounting office to get a new one. Please fix this.

I was in town for the Big 10 Championship football game 11/30/12. I don't like hotels with the electronic mini frig and if the $5 candy bar moves, you get charged for it. This hotel even had a couple more sensors on the desk for overpriced bottle water. In fact, all the plugs were occupied which lead me to charge my phone from an outlet behind the chair. Hence, I left my charger behind. I called a couple hours after check-out and Security went up to the room and found it. They assured me it would be there for me. My husband, who was still in town, forgot to stop by and pick it up. I called the next day and Security offered to mail it to me IF I gave him my credit card number over the phone. I was not comfortable giving my credit card number over the phone especially for only $2. I would be back in town the following weekend to pick it up. When I arrived a week later, the front desk clerk told me the computers were down and they could not locate the charger without it. The clerk took my address and phone number and promised to mail it to me. When the clerk learned that option was already offered to me by Security if I gave the man my credit card number over the phone, he was shocked and wanted to know the person’s name. [My instincts were right and the Security employee shouldn’t have asked for my credit card number.] The clerk assured me when the computers were running, he would over-night the charger to me. Well, another week has passed and I have not received my charger. I called today, and the front desk clerk, Emily, would not refer my call to the manager and instead forwarded the call to Security (the same people who wanted my credit card number) who did not answer the phone.

The Shula's breakfast experience was awful!! It started with a half cup of decaf coffee with a promise of a new pot brewing. Some 20 minutes elapsed with a return of what "might be decaf". Probably another 15 minutes passed and we inquired about our breakfast selection of a smoothie and a granola. The server indicated she would followup on our order after she placed an order for the newcomers. Other guests arrived after us, ate, paid and departed during our wait. We departed as the server offered to do a "to go" situation. We left with nothing but apologies from the Shula's manager and the server. We had been a winner of a silent auction gift certificate which had been donated by Westin to Indiana University Alumni group..It is a shame such a nice gesture by Westin turned into such a fiasco.

It's right on the edge of an active downtown and connects to the convention center. The Starbucks in the lobby doesn't open until 6:30am. Shula's is inside also. Pricey as expected. Open all day. But, again, not until 6:30. Internet is free in the lobby. Rather expensive in the room

The Westin is the closest hotel to the Indiana Convention Center which is super convenient. That said, it was warm and muggy in all of the common areas and instead of that pleasant Westin scent, it smelled of bleach.

We were at the Westin Indianapolis for a conference. There are plenty of places within walking distance to eat. The workout facility was adequate. The meeting rooms worked great. Most meals that we were served were very good.
Connected to above ground tunnels to a lot of the down town area.

The hotel was average. Staff nice, but not exceptionally attentive, etc. The bathroom was a bit shabby, and the cleaning of the room was average. Would stay there again, but would hope that there would be some improvements.

I had an issue with my room and called the manager. 24 hours later I had not heard back from him. I am still waiting to get my bill, it was not put under my door, nor emailed to me.
It is a nice hotel but service is not consistent with other Westin properties.

This hotel is in a convenient location in downtown Indianapolis. The staff was very helpful, and the club lounge was nice (evening apps and morning breakfast items). Several of the staff went out of their way to make sure that I had a nice stay and found my way around the downtown area.
The rooms are what you would expect at a Westin-- very nice and quiet. A good business or convention hotel.
The only drawback was that the hotel restaurant is an expensive steak restaurant. The menu looked great, but I wasn't in the mood for a $50 steak.

The hotel is beautifully decorated and the staff is exceptional.
I agreed to 'Go Green' for ONE evening of the four evenings we stayed. I had to request clean towels and cleaning each of the two remaining days. The bathroom facet was broken and ignored. Upon arrival, make sure you know exactly what the care of your room will be. Other than these situations, it was acceptable.

First time I had been back to the Indianaoplis area. Our Mended Hearts had a conference there and love the hotel. Never expected the upgrade they gave me, it was very nice of them to do so! The room was awesome and the view was great. The staff were awesome in greating me from the time I arrived , to when I left!! Would stay there again when I get back up there.
