Disappointed that at the room rate charged there was no microwave or refrigerator. Also, there was no listing for the TV channels in the room.

Ruth was great at making sure an issue was taken care of, and she made sure to follow up. Sam gave great suggestions in the evenings and was always at his best.Joy was really great our table was set up with our selected coffees every morning.
Note:Business center computers need work=very slow

Hotel was excellent. Very luxurious & modern (up to date). Hotel had many features, restaurant and bar was great. Enjoyed New Year's Eve celebration and stay an additional day just to enjoy the pool and fitness center. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Very clean rooms and the bed and bedding was outstanding.

The most impressive thing about this hotel is its staff - everyone I had contact with was friendly, cooperative, knowledgable, and efficient. Special thanks to the buffet staff and food services director Tracy. The restaurant was very good as well.

I had a long day and missed lunch; when I was able to HAVE dinner at 8:45 PM SAM was fantastic! Excellent service, great salad suggestion and offered me a treat of berries to take to my room! WOW. Thank you SAM!

The greatest asset of this hotel are its employees. They are so friendly!
The hotel services are glitchy at times, (keys constantly demagnitizing, spotty internet, etc.) but at every issue, there was a tremendously helpful and friendly staff member!

My room looked like it hadn't been cleaned when I first arrived. I asked the front desk to have it cleaned again, but House keeping still left the room well below typical SPG standards. House Keeping also smoked in the stairwell near my room and the smell would filter through the hallways

I have stayed at the hotel many times before. I was very disappointed with the state of my room -- it was not clean with waste in the bathroom and the floor. I don't know if i would come back again.

We had to come to another funeral in Detroit. I have a lots of family here but I always chose to stay here. I love the environment and comfort of this place. Plus it was close to the funeral home. Its always very clean and I just love that. You won't go wrong with this place here.

Booked here for business not knowing the area...room was freezing the whole time despite being set at 71. Bed skirt was visibly stained. Rooms dated with a pass through to the neighbor - meaning more noise. Gym was very, very dated. Not up to par for a Westin.

Room was very comfortable and roomy. Staff was most accommodating with my need for a cooler. It was brought to me almost immediately. All staff was very pleasant .

The remote control was missing from the room Nate (maintenance) was fast, kind, and professional.
Likewise, the restaurant staff was kind and professional even though it appeared that they were understaffed for Valentines Day.

Brought a hockey team in and the staff was exceptional. They set us up in a private room for breakfast and the kids used it during the day. Team had pizza at night. They also set up parents in a late-night room!

I had an amazing experience my first week. Second week not so much. I got a subpar room. The food at the restaurant is also extremely salty. A few tweaks here and there and this Westin will be in par with my other Westin experience.

Staff was friendly but not informative. Were no informed about the parking garage. WiFi did not work. Air conditioner was iffy. Did not offer Continental breakfast. Nor did it have a refrigerator or microwave.

The hotel itself needs to be updated but the friendly staff make it worth the stay. Specifically, the wait staff in Tangos for breakfast, Joy, Carolyn, Phil, and Andrea, are always helpful and pleasant.

When we called to make reservations we told the person on the phone that we didn't have a credit card to put the room on...that we would be paying in cash. We were told that would not be a problem.
When we arived we were exhausted after a very long day and came to check in. The clerk at the desk would not take cash to check in. We were told we had to drive to Meijer and get one of those visa cards so that they could put the 20% on it before we could check in. We left...frustrated drove several miles to Meijer bought a $100. visa card that cost us another $5.95 so that we could check in.
When we got back to the hotel there was a diffferent clerk at the desk and they said that we have to put all of the room and the extra 20% on the visa...we that didn't work because we were staying 2 nights and we only bought a $100. visa. She did finally except the cash...that we paid for both night in advance...plus the 20% incidental charge that was put on this visa... sooo we were frustrated and exhausted.. Aside for all of this...our stay was very nice. I was very shocked that a visa was more excepted then cash.

Rated 2 out of 5 by HereEachWeek overall: consistently inconsistent maint. & room setup. BUT: great staff.
I stay here each week for business travel. For half of each week, this is where i live. The primary driver for continuing to stay here is the location to the project site, otherwise, I'd probably stay elsewhere. Before going further though, lest this point be lost in what follows, I have to say the staff is excellent - very courteous and helpful.
Overall, it seems the focus is on superficial "glitz" like:
1. fancy lobby
2. some sort of "green" efforts
3. fancy bed linens
4. two-headed showers
5. staff livery
but they regularly fall short on what I consider basics like:
1. setting up the rooms consistently, particularly coffee service
2. Maintenance: electrical outlets, internet connectivity, drawers, shower, coffee pot
- food is very good, and there are some very nice entrees on the menu, but compared to a competing hotel down the road, the menu is limited and expensive. I liked the other hotel's food just as well. Personally, I would very much like to see more basic or simple entrees added. Right now, there's only one such choice -- a (really good) bacon cheeseburger; everything else is more "high-end". I'm on business travel -- I don't want to have to blow my entire perdiem on one meal.
