I was at this hotel for a conference, so I didn't choose this hotel on my own. Once I remembered the Heavenly Beds, I was pleased. The food at all events was really good and the staff was great.

the rooms are clean and comfortable. all the staff from the front desk to the door men (exceptional!) to the cleaning lady were all plesant and helpful! made my stay extremely comfortable

The hotel has great views of KC and there are many dining options within walking distance to the hotel. The front desk staff was a little rude but everything else about the hotel was great.

It would have been nice for the pool area to have been open later Saturday night. We wanted to enjoy after a wedding we attended but it was closed. Also, free parking would have been nice.

We stayed at this hotel for a basketball tournament and I would not recommend this hotel. I was very disappointed on the cleanliness of my room. There were dirty towels hanging behind the door that evidentually been there for a while. The towels was matted since the door had been open for a long time. So, I did not use the bath robe since the dirty towels were on top of it. Because of this, I was very uncomfortable with the cleaning of the housekeeping staff. When I sat at the desk and opened the drawer, there were napkins and plasticware. I have never stayed at a hotel where napkins and plasticware were in the desk and I would think that this is not an amenity of a Westin hotel. The parking in the garage was terrible since there were so many groups in house which made it very difficult to even find a spot. The line to get out of the parking garage took way too long. I actually felt sorry for the attendant. He was validating the guest name and room number for each car which took forever and then he required a signature. This process took us over 30 minutes and there were only 5 cars. Very frustrating.

Great time lighting the Mayors tree. We have done this for many years. Very disappointed to find the pool closed for repairs. No one told us and grandchildren very disappointed.....

As a longstanding member of SPG, I natually gravitate to SPG facilities and I have loved Westin Hotels, UNTIL this TRIP.
Housekeeping needs some serious education and supervision on cleanliness. My first room had many serious stains on the carpeting and bathroom floor and walls. Although linens appeared clean, and beds were attractively made, the sheets consistently were "short" for the beds, so your feet rested on the mattress. The site offers customers upon checking in an option to get 1000 points and some minimal discounts if I waived housekeeping services - this should have been a BIG RED FLAG! My second room, was slightly better, with carpets not as badly stained, but still rather dirty - both carpets and bathroom floors. Walls in the bathroom were not sprayed with dirt and grim. Sheets on the bed again appeared attractive, BUT there is nothing worse than sliding into bed after a long day only to find the bed "short-sheeted". Each night I had to remake my bed!
Sound proofing for an upscale location next to the main train depot (historic landmark) is a must. What happened to this site?? I was on the 18th floor and could hear every train pass by, every person walking down the hallway or moving around in the suite below .
A/C thermostats were apparently not functioning, as the bell-staff offered desktop fans to help circulate the air.
Also, how can you offer a guest a room and not provide a closet with the ability to hang business suites and coats??
Twice I went into the restaurant on the main floor and twice I found the service far less than acceptable. With no-one in line to be seated, the staff passed me by over and over. The waiters were too busy chitchatting to take my order and when they did, I waited 20-25 minutes for a cup of soup and a sandwich... Coffee was burnt and the milk, apparently was not checked, as it curdled when placed in the coffee - not once but twice, on two separate occassions. The issue was brought to the servers attention and they never checked the source of the milk.

Whenever I visit KC I always stay at the Westin Crown Center. It's has so many conveniences; shopping, attractions, etc. Plus the rooms are always clean and very relaxing.

It was a very pleasant stay. Very comfortable bed. Restaurant food was very good. What you would expectt from a Westin. Would have liked free internet for the price we paid.

This hotel is well due for the on going current renovation. We knew about the lobby being done but were not aware the rooms and other public spaces were so worn and tired.

You can feel changes around the hotel. We have been coming there since the hotel opened and I can truthfully say this time wasn't the same. Preferred the way it use to be.

I was very thankful for the desk clerk that answered my call in the morning. He helped me locate the hotel. It was my first time to KC and after driving around for 15 minutes I needed all the help I could get! At check-in my clerk was very friendly but I noticed some of the other clerks, not so much. A simple smile or acknowledgement is always nice. I was needing information regarding a meeting and I felt almost as a bother. Not impressed. Room service was delivered in the time given and was prepared just as I asked for. For the price, I feel the room should have been cleaner. Every light switch was black and the remote had stuff all over it. Just gross. The bottom of the tub was black. I used a towel to stand on. The shower head was amazing! Had plenty of HOT water. The room never seemed to cool off. The best part of my stay was the attendant as I left the parking garage. She was friendly and very helpful. I didn't get her name. Honestly, I left saying it was just okay but because of her it became an excellent stay. It was refreshing to come in contact with someone who truly cares about their job and their guests!

The room size is excellent and above that of most other hotels. We were most comfortable without tripping all over everything. Spacious sitting and sleeping areas.

Room was clean and spacious. Staff was excellent. Food was great and reasonably priced at the restaurant. Was given a nice room upgrade as an SPG gold member.

My family (2 adults and 3 small children) stayed for one night. I requested a room with a view of the city. We were put in a room over looking the pool. I called downstairs and the staff quickly fixed our room and even gave us a free kid movie rental for our trouble. The Westin is inside the crown center so it's actually connected to the mall, legoland, and there is an in door link to union station. I didn't gather all of that when I read about the hotel online. This made our stay much more pleasant and saved a lot of time! The beds were amazing, the room was spacious, and our view was awesome. The view was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel. My one year old really enjoyed looking over the busy city while she played! I only gave the hotels 4
Stars on cleanliness because the bottom of the window seal (on the floor) had a TON of
Dust and dirt in it.. My daughter picked up a nice chunk and tried to eat it. Yuk! We loved the Starbucks coffee and the rain shower in our room. We didn't get a chance to try the fitness center, however it looked cool. it over looked the lobby about 5 floors up. Overall everything else exceeded my expectations!

$9.95 a day for wireless connection, $5 just to work out? Another $16 for parking. Ridiculous for such a classy hotel. These add-ons ruined the experience.

the only free internet is in the lobby- you must pay extra in rooms and the business center is fee based also. Rooms showing age. fitness center a fee, too.
