I have always raved about Heavenly Beds and my family was looking forward to sleeping in them for this trip. We did not think the mattress was heavenly and the sheets did not fit and the bottom one kept coming undone...and then I touched the rough pilled mattress. Sorry but I was not impressed.

Based on experiences at other properties, when you think WESTIN you think upscale. First impressions are lasting, beginning with the less than pleasant parking attendants (I must say that the attendants must be subcontracted because I saw the same attendant at another hotel around the corner). Next would be the smudged glass front doors that throughout my five day stay were in dire need of attention. One of the guest computer portals had a tacky, hand written sign designating it as out of order. Room staff was pleasant while front desk staff gave inaccurate information regarding supposedly local venues which may be out of their purview. This was later explained away by the statement that the person was in training, hmm. Overall a disappointing environment that one would not expect from this property chain. The noise from the outside corner fountain was very annoying as well as the seemingly ongoing train movement at the train yard. No I am not from a competitor, I am just a frequent traveler that expects better than average when it comes to the Starwood group of properties.

The facility was great and had everything needed for a complete workout. Didn't understand the charge for the facility and not the pool. The pool and hot tub are more costly to maintain than the exercise equipment so it would make more sense to charge for the pool if you have to charge at all

Due to an illness and several attempt to adjusts the thermostate. I just felt the rooms were too cold. Surprising during my visit the out door tempature was moderatley cool as well.

This hotels charges you for everything even if you are a starwood preferred guest - no free wifi, for free internet in the room - in fact $9.95 per day. Health club / gym is $5 per day, etc. Charge me more on my room if you can't afford these things and do not nickle and dime me to death!

Beautiful hotel with everything you need and more. We didn't have to leave the Hotel. There were shops, food and entertainment all right there. The only thing was that there are no vending machines and when my blood sugar bottomed out at 3am the only way to get help was with room service.

I stay with an SPG property every week for work. I also participate in Go Green each visit. The only issue I have is that when someone is using Go Green, supplies (coffee, shampoo, trash, etc.) need to be replenished each day. Go Green only applies to sheets and towels, NOT these thins.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable, staff helpful and friendly, food decent; internet connnection was very bad for myself, as well as for a number of other conference attendees. My connection was dropped at least 2 times in easch 10 minute segment. Not good for business travelers.

I have been staying at this Westin for the last 4 months on a regular basis.
The staff is awesome!!
The rooms, while updated, need to be spruced up a bit. The furniture in the suites is dated and uncomfortable. The rooms are pretty good, although you can see signs of age.

Stay was good. However, housekeeping did not clean room one day out of a five day stay. Wet towels left on bathroom floor, bathroom overall not clean to my expectations (Needed Mop, Mirror Clean). Lastly, dust on TV Stand and Computer Desk never cleaned upon my request on 11/14/2013.

I had a very long wait for our room to be ready, didn't get key until 2030 but they were full and super busy. Staff was incredibly nice and provided us our evening meal. I appreciated everything they did and how patient everyone was and had a wonderful 5K event the following morning.

This hotel has a beautiful lobby, but is very old and the rooms are showing it. There is a bad odor in the rooms facing the Union Station Side. Some people at our conference did not have this problem, so the hotel may be working to correct it. Not a good hotel for a large convention.

My husband and I recently stayed at your hotel. My husband had a medical emergency. Your restaurant staff, security staff,housekeeping and front desk were fantastic. I would recommend your hotel to anyone coming to Kansas City to stay. They are very professional and extremely kind.

The accommodations and service were excellent. Rooms are very comfortable and well adorned. Dining and lounge areas were comfortable, inviting.
When I arrived, I was a bit under the weather. I chatted with a manager who was greeting the guests waiting to check-in. After I got to my room, I got a call from the front desk; the manager suggested hot soup be sent to my room. I arrived late Sunday, so I definitely needed some nourishment and help break the cold. So, I gladly accepted. However, an hour later I still did not have the soup. I called down and no soup was scheduled. Guest services reordered the soup and it was eventually delivered to the room. I was disappointed I had to call back after receiving the invitation from the front desk.
My greatest disappointment was the additional charge for Internet access from the room and lobby, both wired and wireless. A hotel of this caliber should be able to provide complimentary wireless access to its guests, at least from the lobby, if not also from the room.

When pornographic and salacious video programming is 'in your face' as i found it during my stay, then you earn a major negative from me (and hopefully others). I cannot stay again at a hotel that is so woefully morally compromised so as to feature such degrading material. Shame!

LegoLand and SeaLife were great features for a young family. Access to Union Station and the Link also a big positive. The beds were comfortable, the rooms large enough to accomodate smaller children and bath facilities were clean and modern. An excellent experience for all ages.

We chose this hotel due to the location and were not disappointed. The shops at Crown Center are fabulous and we would not have had to leave the hotel grounds at all. However, it is also very close to the Country Club Plaza and the Power and Light district among other KC sites.

The room I had reserved was no longer available when I got to the hotel, instead of not charging me for wi-fi, they charged me twice for it. It was fixed at checkout. There was also not a shower cap in the bathroom, which i thought was odd, and my remote control barely worked.

My green program was not logged in at first.
My wireless connection did not work for quite awhile.
When I checked out at 4AM, an audit was being run and they couldn't do it then. My credit card had to be charged and an e-mail sent with the bill. Glad I didn't want to pay cash!

I was not impressed with this hotel or its basic facilities. A small, very crowded bar and the restaurant closes early leaves one only the option of dinner by room service. Charging to use part of the work out facility but not the rest of it? Just overall, not Westin quality.

I've stayed at this hotel for business a few times over the last few months and i havent had à visit yet where there wasn't some annoyance.. eg. the first time i stayed here one of the 2 beds was unmade when i checked in. and i am always assigned a low floor.. Not sure why I don't seem to get some recognition for my SPG status. My coworkers seem to get upgraded to concierge and they travel less than i do. did i piss someone off?so, this stay, I was placed in a room where the tub was dirty. Turns out that the tub was actually clogged but I didn't find that out until I was taking a shower and standing in 4 inches of bath water. I don't want to think about the germs in that bath water..I reported it to the front desk and they offered to move me. But I said no since I didn't want to repack. A repair person apparently fixed the tub, but took away my bathmat and didn't replace it...sigh. Please.. Stop being so mediocre and help make my next stay better so that I can look forward to staying here instead of dreading it.

We haven't been to this hotel in about 17 years and it was as good as we remembered it to be. My only comment would be, so much effort is put into the bedding/toiletries, and yet, the tissues provided were less than par...almost like sandpaper....upgrade the tissue please.

We have stayed at the Westin Crown Center several times. The fitness facilities are amazing and there is a great pool. The location is close to several excellent restaurants, museums and shops. We had a Park Corner room which was awesome. Staff was friendly and helpful.

First room was to small so we upgraded to a suite next day at 5pm. no help moving. Had to call down twice First time no one new what was going on. Maintenance came to my room to bolt the patio door shut . T his is at 10pm my wife and kids where asleep. just a bad Stay.
