Upon checking in the Front Desk Manager, Charles, asked what brought me to the hotel and when I informed him that I was proposing later that evening he went into a joyous planning mode. I did not ask for anything, nor did I plan on it, but Charles and the rest of the Westin staff not only provided a warm reception for me when checking in, but also a collection of desserts and champagne for when my fiancee and I returned to the hotel. The night was already perfect, and with the added gifts from the Westin it ended perfectly as well. Last, but not least, the room was extremely clean with a beautiful view of both the Liberty Memorial and downtown KC. The Westin will assuredly be my go-to hotel in Kansas City due to the property and most importantly the people.

The whole trip was amazing from beginning to end. Check in, simple and fast. Check out, even faster. The kids were talked to and treated amazing. Recommendations for tours in the city were spot on for children. As the adults we had many amenities available to us and we will go back to take advantage of what we didn't have time for. Loved it!

I want to come back to Kansas city just to stay in this hotel and bring my family to the crown center! The lobby is modern and beautiful, the waterfall inside is lush and calming, the rooms are gorgeous, spacious, super clean and smell great. I was recognized as a preferred guest from the moment I came in and was given the room with a great view of Kansas City. Customer service is phenomenal, food and drinks at the bar are great. I also love the fact that you can rent workout gear for $5 during your stay. What a fantastic idea!! The BED is truly heavenly!!! Crisp white sheets and multiple down comforters, plush pillows. I sighed out loud when I fell into it. I have never stayed in a Westin before and now I don't want to stay anywhere else!!!
The conference was well run with coffee and water flowing and exceptionally good food for breakfast and lunch. The conference rooms were large, comfortable and not cramped with well spaced tables, comfortable temperature and no significant AV/technology issues.

The staff made this stay even more enjoyable. The man we worked with at check-in was helpful, friendly, funny, and just pleasant to speak with. The staff at the pool was friendly and fun. Overall, the weekend was such an enjoyable one and I hope to be able to stay here again soon!

I was here for a short business trip and was pretty satisfied with my stay. More pros and cons. When you walk into the hotel you feel very welcomed and are helped as soon as you step out of your taxi/car/bus.
The only cons was my room. The AC seem to not be working correctly, the shower head water pressure was very weak, and no cold water in the shower.

While you can't beat this hotel for access to area attractions like Union Station, Legoland, the Aquarium and the WWI Memorial, it was a little run down. We also had a problem of no COLD water. While I did not terribly mind a screaming hot shower, it was difficult to bathe children.

Any one of these could have been forgotten, but overall they combined for a disappointing night:
1-The previous guest left the alarm clock set to go off in the middle of the night. I would suggest that hotels have the room staff check alarm clocks for just this.
2-The door to the room didn't latch, we noticed it when we first checked in, and thought we had fixed it when we went to bed, but it drifted open in the middle of the night; we were awakened again by a guest slamming it shut for us.
3-A very loud neighbor woke us up the following morning for a very dramatic 2+ hour phone conversation... not the hotel's fault, but it added to our unhappiness, and showed the thinness of the walls.
It's a lovely location but the little things made it unpleasant.

1. No fan in the bathroom
2. Air Conditioning vent behind the curtain so does not cool room down very well
3. Main restaurant, Benton’s, is closed on Sunday for dinner.
4. Concierge was not at all that helpful when we asked what else was around and open after we arrived Sat evening around 830pm.
5. No room service book in the room or any literature about what the hotel offers and the hours available.
6. The room was standard looking given the price being paid.
7. Went down Monday morning around 0400am to ask if there was somewhere to get a good hot cup of coffee. Staff said you can make it in your room. So I asked if I could get some more sugar, creamer and cups. Sensed attitude as if I was inconveniencing them
8. Gift shop employee never spoke to me the entire time I was in the store.
9. Lobby seating area is very outdated looking.
10. Had much higher hopes for the overall stay for the price.

Hotel staff was exceptional, professional and courteous; room service was fast and food was yummy. The hotel lobby is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and the view of the is captivating at night. The staff at the front desk should be commended and rewarded for their hospitality and professionalism. Great location for families and long walks. Near several attractions including Power & Light and local transportation.

Stayed at the Westin Kansas City for three nights, and was thoroughly unimpressed with this hotel. Housekeeping service was terrible, and we would return to our room to find beds that were barely made, dirty glasses, non replenished toiletries. Irony is that we were offered $5 a night to forego housekeeping, and we declined as we prefer a clean room and linens.

After riding a train in from upstate New York, it was so nice to step into this amazing hotel. It made us both say "WOW" as soon as we walked in. Everything from the room, to the beautiful lobby, to the staff, the restaurants and stores, very comfortable and convenient. All of the staff was very friendly and Risha at the front desk and Ramil out in front were especially outstanding. Look forward to coming back again, loved The Westin and loved KC, and would most definitely, highly recommend to everyone.

The hotel is a wonderful hotel. The only issue I had was that the sink was a little plugged. It was my fault that I didn't notified the hotel right away; I was busy with my conference and managed the situation. The hotel is cleaned and the staff is wonderful. I will stay there again.

I had to come to Kansas City for work, and found the hotel to be very good. Every staff member I interacted with was professional and accommodating. Charles was very welcoming and helpful when I checked in. I especially liked that I could get my favorite morning beverage (soy latte with sugar free caramel) right in the restaurant on the first floor! It was also handy to be connected to the mall and link to union square. I'm coming back again in a week for work, and I know I will be well taken care of ! The shuttle service was also most helpful!

We checked in early and Colin made sure even on NAIA weekend that we had adjoining rooms, the floor we requested and rooms that accommodated our families. Unfortunately our Gson became ill part of our stay and the hotel provided a stroller for us. When he felt better we would have had no way to get him out had they not provided this. We really appreciated their concern and help.

It was too short a stay. I wish I had spent the whole weekend. The room was very comfortable. I had an amazing view of Kansas City from the 15th floor. We were only there over night for an event at Union Station and I was sad to leave. I highly recommend this property.

Gorgeous hotel! So accessible to everything in the Crown Center and very close to Union Station. Great restaurants and year round swimming in an outdoor heated pool. The valet parking is so handy and our car appeared with only a few minutes notice. So close to art museums, Federal Reserve Bank, and other places of interest.

We have been here on three separate occasions as we have passed through KC on the way to other destinations. Each time is a pleasure. Quiet, comfortable, exceptionally clean. Restaurant was a treat this trip- great food and great service. Such a relief after staying at our previous hotel which was a disaster. We travel with two kids and we all love it here. Keep up the good work- we will probably be back!

The Westin Kansas City at Crown Center is a great hotel with many amenities. The quality of sleep was amazing with the heavenly bed. The room was very spacious and clean and the staff was courteous and accommodating. The hotel is located within walking distance to a wide range of attractions, food and nightlife. This hotel continues to exceed our expectations every time we stay. I would highly recommend the Westin.

After arriving from the MCI airport, I was not impressed with the surrounding area. Check-in was very pleasant and the rooms remarkably spacious and comfortable. While looking for supper, I skipped the hotel restaurant and tried out a restaurant in the surrounding complex...excellent choice as it turns out..supper was splendid! Hotel restaurant may be as good but I don't know that for sure......stay here....you will enjoy your stay!

This hotel is super military friendly and treats everyone like they are family. We stayed here on a super busy Friday night in March. We were greeted by the valet and helped with our luggage. Upon check in the clerk was very nice and granted my requested of a high level room that faced the city. The whole stay was amazing and we will definitely be back very soon. Thank you Westin and your staff.
