We absolutely enjoyed everything about our stay! The staff treats you like you are the most important person they will see all day. The rooms are so spacious and comfortable, especially the bed! It wraps you in comfort and luxury and you may sleep better than at home. I personally loved the rainfall shower! We will certainly return here and recommend it to everyone who is looking for a great place to stay in downtown Kansas City.

We were in a king park corner room 1642 door opened into a wall door should have open from the other side into the hallway of the room. We ask for info on local resturants and things to do. The SPG desk could not answer the questions we asked. The irish fest was across the street from hotel and madegetting into the drive alittle tricky.

I reserved a room at this hotel for 1 night for my DIL and the grandchildren. I was able to check in early and I really appreciate that gesture. I also requested a corner room facing downtown and was lucky enough that here was one available. Although I live in Kansas City, I have stayed at this property several times. As I was preparing to leave for the night I tried to call the desk to order more towels. The in-room phone did not work so I used my Cellphone. I called twice and was told that there was no Operator available at this time. I though that this was very odd because I have worked at this property and know that if the Operator has to step out that all calls are routed to the front desk. I stopped by the front desk on my way out about 11 pm and spoke with the Clerk about not being able to reach someone. She told me that they were very busy and she will have towels sent to the room. When I arrived the next day my DIL told me that nobody delivered the towels. My DIL is deaf and would have had to go through the relay operator just to speak to the hotel staff. Also, I was a little taken back on the appearance of the bed skirt. I was very unattractive because it looked like it was dug out of a hamper. I have stayed in many hotels and never seen bedding look that bed. I assume I should at least have linen that is presentable. My other issue was that there was a large yellow stain on the toilet. I tried to clean with no avail. Upon check out I asked to speak to the Manager and was told that he was not available. On a more happier note I was trilled to see Tall Paul who has been the doorman for over 40 years. Although this stay was not the best for my family I will still stay a customer. The location is great, the staff is courteous and the rooms are clean.

My stay at the Kansas City Westin Crown Center was everything I expected. Westin is a top-notch hotel, and I expected nothing less during my stay. Thank you for providing quality amenities on every visit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Doughbuy Great stay at an older hotel
Located right next to the World War 1 memorial and attached to the crown center, this hotel is situated in a great part of town. It's also a short hop to downtown.
The lobby has been recently renovated, and the food at the brasserie restaurant is great (try the steak). Gym closes at 10pm which is a small ding, but the gym pool area is extensive, with plenty of workout equipment, sauna and steam room, locker rooms, and a nice secluded pool and hot tubs. Also, plenty of large meeting rooms, so definitely a good place for a conference. Also, the club lounge has a great breakfast... although it's not open on the weekends.
Rooms are comfortable, albeit a bit dated. There are enough plugs for electronics, and higher floor rooms have amazing views. The staff here is definitely exceptional, and will give SPG platinums the recognition they deserve. Lots of appreciation to the front desk staff. Will be glad to stay here for the next 30+ weeks
